First timer grower with no green thumb. Learning as I go doing thorough research. The environment is hard to control in my shed, as my humidity and temperature are fluctuating more than is required within the range of +/-10 degrees. My next girl will definitely be done inside. Day 4 might have stunted its growth due to increasing temperatures into the high 30's. Day 6 slight yellow tint on the outer edge of the leaves Total growth for both girls in the first week is 1.5 inches. All in all, considering the condition they are under, I think they are looking pretty good.

I guess my first question as a first-timer would be when is the ideal time to start adding nutrients. I have already purchased several products in advance such as bat guano, humic/fulvic acid, cane molasses, and marine phytoplankton.

I would not feed any nutes for the first 2 weeks as the seed shell contains everything to get the plant started. Just PH water. I see you are in soil - is this pre-loaded ? (some soils have nutes added already) worth checking as if its pre-loaded you might want to hold off on nutes until week 3/4 then start on quarter of the recommended. Less is better at this stage as autos have shorter lifecycle so you do not want any lock out or nute burn.

D8 - I noticed a purple shade on top of the 2nd set forming on both girls. Also on one of the new leaves of #2 there seems to be a slight curl, have to do some research to see if that is something I should be worried about. D11 - Girls are coming along nicely, there is slight warping or curling on the edges of leaves. D11 - Moved tent inside, temperature, and humidity have regulated. D13 - #2 seems to be growing a bit crooked. D14 - Put an anchor on #2 to give it support also straightened it up a little.

There is slight curling on the first set of leaves of both plants. I am thinking the cause is overwatering, which would be an easy fix. Does anyone have any other idea on what it might be from the D12 video?

D16 - I think I had the light a little to close, I see some yellow tips forming on the new set of leaves. I raised it a couple of inches. D17 - Girls are coming along great, I'm thinking of using bonsai wire to train. D18 - Saw some brown spots on #2. D19 - Brown spots on #2 got a bit worse with slight yellowing leaves. D20 - Figured out the brown spots has to be calcium deficiency. Added some NPK cal/mag to #2. Also, I am having a lot of fun using the bonsai wire to LST.

I have a few brown spots and slight yellowing on a couple of my 3 finger leaves and even some on a 5 finger (#2). It seems to be getting worse every day. I have done a lot of research to find out what it could be but am very confused. Any ideas? Pictures from 2 different days.

i'm not good at identifying pest-related stuff.. so hopefully someone canchime in if it is that path. as far as nutes, it's difficult to know. You can use my nutrient spreadsheet i have hosted on google drive shared folder. it is in my GD profile comments. Lots of good videos on related things too. So, that will help you know what you are adding. It lets you know if things are available or not.. and if oyu see a symptom of that particular element, you know it's more likley pH or nutrient balance related. Many of them compete for the same bonding sites inside the plant. it is all about shape, electronegativity and some other fancy stuff i don't have a great grasp of, but it is reality. the majority of problems are due to too many nutes or improper pH -- simple fact. People (not you but general trneds of behaviour) don't like being wrong, so it's usually blamed on something else other than their own behviour. i only say that to instill a good perspective.. observe, wait and see, be informed about what you do and take notes of when you do it. this will all help deduce problems with the leaft chart, nute caclulator and a few websites. growweedeasy has a good symptom checker, fwiw. i think ihave their leaf chart linked in my profile comments, but not sure of the source anymore.

D23 Looks like the calcium deficiency affected the growth on #2 a bit as it is a little behind #1 D24 I cut off the infected fan leaves on #2 also it's looking really yellow D28 #1 really thriving compared to #2. Going forward I will be posting pictures of #1 only Made a newbie mistake and fed my girls without checking the ph level.... hopefully no major side effects pop up

D29 Did top dressing with bone and kelp meal as well as worm castings. D31 Performed a little more LST, a few more days and I will let her do her thing. D32 More LST exposed lower nodes and evened out the canopy. D33 Removed all bonsai wire and rolled down the rim of the pot to even it out with to soil, more airflow. D35 Not much growth but overall looking pretty good. Heatwave last couple days keep temperatures higher than desired.

Buds are coming along nicely, they started off with a not so appealing smell but eventually started to smell very sweet. Increased dosage for increased blooming and ripening. Missed update for day 49 but vids from previous day makes up for it. Side note, I created a homemade Co2 bag with ingredients that is easily available and affordable. I don't think I let is have an effect on my buds but it sure did smell awful. After the 5th day, I got rid of it.

D58 - Buds really are growing in size, not rushing it, and hoping it keeps going. D59 - Two more feedings and on to the home stretch. I increased the ppm for increased bud production and have been seeing great results. Still dealing with heat stress and noticing taco leaves at the top of the canopy.

Invested in Green Planet 1 Part Nutrient System. Going to see how it finishes my buds in these last few weeks, also will use it to start my next girl. D60 - There are some amber Trichomes, but on the part of the leaves that will be cut off when I manicure, going to give it another week at most to ripen more. End of the week - Flushing down to 150ppm and hopping the buds put on a bit more size in this last upcoming week. Side note, I should have put more space between the bud sites, they are too compact and the bud sites near the middle are not able to push up through the canopy, which is limiting its growth.

First time harvesting, I have been looking at the Trichomes and see a bit of amber but none on the buds itself. Any ideas on how much longer I should wait, also why are there so many white/yellow hairs if the Trichomes are already turning amber.

Lots of factors go into the reddening of hairs. Heat, for example can make them turn quicker. Also genetics and feed can have an effect. This is why going by the trichomes is your best method although the hairs can give you a rough idea. You still have lots of clear trichomes, so I would say you have at least a week left. Watch out though, they can change fast on you!

Leaves are getting a bit crispy and crumbling by the touch in some parts. This will hopefully be the last week, I am trying my best to not rush and let her fully develop as much as she can. At the end of the week, I have been closely observing the trichomes and she just isn't ready yet. New white pistols are yet to turn amber but some trichomes are turning amber on bud sites.

I am monitoring the trichomes and am seeing more amber daily. I am worried that I am seeing seed sacs forming on some buds, did she gets pollinated when I brought her outside? Or was it due to the high amount of overall stress she was exposed to that cause these seeds to appear? In any case, I hope this doesn't affect the quality of the bud. On day 76 I ended up chopping her down, it could have waited a few more days but I think I was about time.

This was my very first grow and they took all the mistakes I threw at them like a champ. With my inexperience, I was able to produce some good looking buds, I can't imagine what another grower can accomplish with more knowledge and know-how. Great overall strain and would recommend it to anyone with any type of experience.
