Grow Questions

How much should i water in my 5 gallon fabric container? I have heard to just water a ring around the middle but how much actually? I have been using a spray bottle most of the time just to keep it wet in a circle in the middle but im not exactly sure if that is enough?

Use very little water maybe 30ml(3 tbls) per day if soil is not damp, over watering will drown the seedlings, so in the beginning, less water is better.

What to do about the slight curling happening to 2 of my plants? Is it burn from temp/humidity spikes. I had been having issues so I since got a humidity/monitor controller. My lights were very close too so moved them to the recommended distance per the instructions.

The cupping is probably from the low humidity and high heat.. sounds like you got it all dialed back in give them a few days and they will probably flatten right back out. Happy growing! 👊

I believe I have white powdery mildew, it now only appears to be a few flakes but there is some on all 3 plants. I have adjusted fans and opened a ventilation vent at the top of the tent along with my exhaust fan to help w air flow. Could use all advice I can get on this

I don’t see any mildew from your video but if you think you do. Get some water (tap water works fine) and some paper towels. Wet the paper towels and use them to gently wipe the mildew off the affected leaves whilst being careful not to jostle any leaves with spores on them. Using a wet cloth will ensure that more spores stick to the cloth instead of becoming airborne. Ensure plants have proper airflow and ventilation – Even if you have absolutely no airflow or ventilation in your grow room, having just two fans will drastically reduce your chances of encountering WPM while also benefitting your plant’s overall health. Hope that helps 👌🏾

I'm stressing over LST. I believe it is time. Going to get some materials for it now. If you look at my latest video though you notice my first plan stem is super thick already at 19 days, did i wait too long for lst for that particular plant?

I’m still unsure if it’s white powdery mildew or dust or my dandruff or what? It’s early if it is, ive already treated with apple cider vinegar 1 time. I’m going to share a video and pictures of them to see if anyone can confirm. Thanks in advance

All 3 plants planted on same day. 1 out of 3 plants has not started to build up buds like the other 2 and is shorter. Is this a common thing?

Yup, see my grow. Two female seeds from the same batch. One was anemic to start, but it found its legs(roots).👌

I thought I had the leaf tip burn and curl handled but it’s really never subsided. My temps are 76 at hottest and humidity around 45 to 55. 1 out of 3 plants shows no symptoms but it’s the least mature. I was trying to flush but that seems to not help. Idk anymore, help!!

I just stated my second week using Growers Choice Seeds and I’m very interested in seeing what your grow turns out like. Are all three seeds Gorilla Glue? Also a first time grower so maybe some of the questions you ask might help me haha. GL xDC

@Darth_Cha, yes these are all Gorilla Glue Auto. I got 3 out of 5 to germinate. It’s been a ride already trying to regulate the temp/humidity but I believe I have it down for the time being. I got 2 fans a humidifier and a humidity monitor that I have hooked up to my exhaust fan. I’ve actually started using my 1000 watt led today as well. Lots to learn . Peace. I’ll follow you as well

@Pajersey13, I’ve been using distilled with a lower ph than ideal but have since obtained ph up and down so I’m pretty spot in w ph now. I will heed your advice and let dry up a bit more between watering. Thank you

Pajersey13commented5 years ago
@BufoAlvarez, try letting it dry up a little more between watering. Do you ph your water or is it straight from the tap?

@Kamikaze, Thank you. This is all so surreal. So thankful to be doing this legally in my state now too here in IL. It's a blessing to me and my family and everyday i go and tend to the plants I just stare at them in amazement and gratitude. I'm sure I'm not the only one who just stares at them in awe still..... lol. Cheers

Curing time. Doing it in jars. I feel like only half the product is full and thick and other half loose and stringy buds. I had many issues getting it right for my first time which I believe led to this. One is watering which I didn’t fully grasp until too late, other is over doing nutes, then I had temp issues. Learning a lot and really happy that I was able to harvest anything.

I feel like all my plants are behind generally and that they are fine but it’s going to be a few more weeks. Starting to see the yellowing of leaves. Ambers trichomes are coming slowly. Keeping a close eye. 2 out of 3 plants are growing like crazy. Really pleased and grateful. Peace

nute burn is consistent through the grow. my conclusion after all of this is that since i was underwatering for a long time and now that i am watering better all the nutes are being released that should have been released earlier in the cycle of the grow... no more nutes for now
