Yup. Going for yield this time Cant wait😀 Getting the right Phenotype is essential. But the question is big plants in scrog or small in SOG.

So after 16 days of vacation the new mother plants has grown them selfs bigger in the meantime.. There has been hard to keep up the humidity since it’s winter. Humidity as low as 26%. Seems to have affected them negatively. Some of the leafs looks burned and are crispy. Grows slow. They where topped at around 15cm. This has given them a nice bushy look. Lots of tops starting to form. Seems to be two genotypes. One is more stretchy and the other two are small and very bushy. Roots looks very nice and white Changed res 9/3

They have bushed out and made lots of tops and new shoots the last weeks so I decided to take clones 15/03. Very happy with the topping and how short and bushy they have become. The most stretchy of the plants still has a problem with leafs “crisping up”. They seem either burned or dryed out. The other two plants are doing fine so maby the effected one suffer from a nut burn. Don’t know.

plants effected by leaves thats brown and crispy. Two of the plants had this in the start but almost no crispy leaves now,the most sative looking is still affected. There is very low humidety in room. 30%. EC is 1.5. Is it low humidety or nuts. See pics😀👍🏼

It's definitely nutrient burn. Ever heard or read the expression "burnt to a crisp", just like your "crispy leaves". Your nutrient solution is really high for the veg phase, dial it back to 1.0EC/500PPM, then when you switch to flower ramp it up slowly up to 1.4EC/700PPM. The low humidity might be causing your plants to drink more water, forcing them to take more nutrients than it's safe for them, if you can't rise your humidity, use a lower EC/PPM than normal

The mother plants has been growing back a few new tops since last week. It seems like the burned/crispy leafs came from to high EC. Been lowering the EC too 1,2 and they look a bit better this week. They are ready for transplant too soil. Maby I’ll do it this week. The clones has been inside the dome all week. Just a little opening of the top lid after day 3. Temp 24-26 Timer on 1 hour off for 1 hour. No roots are showing yet. Still green and nice leaves. Seems hard too clone🤔

This week I potted the mother’s over in Organic soil. They still have Brittle, dark green and crispy leafs. But they have developed ok the last week. Ive been super cropping and topping. The clones are developing pretty slow. No root development the first week. Not seen any signs of roots before day 7. And the signs that are showing from day 7 are minimal. I’ve not exsposed them too direct light yet so maby that’s the cause. I will putt them under direct light from the 25 Marsh (10days in) so let’s see if that can speed things up? Update 27/03: After putting them under direct LED light the clones are showing rapid root development after two days 😀👍🏼

Finally after 2,5 months of waiting, we sat 12 new and rooted Big bud clones in the DWC system 😀😆💪🏻🙌👍👏 They have been rooting very good after we put them under the light. We’ve put four clones from each mother into the dwc system. It’s still very low humidity since it’s winter, so I decided to put a plastic bag with holes in to keep the humidity high. Starting EC is set low at 0.8 It’s a strain I’ve never grown, so I will keep them in veg for a week and then take a decision about switching to flower or not. Very excited about this grow 😅😅😬

After a week in the system I switched to flower 11/04/18. The EC has been kept low. It’s seems they have grow better then the mothers did. I think this is because of the low EC. They are pretty small in size compared to the Powerplant. The mothers looks great after the transplant👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Happy growing people😇 Update:14/04 supercropped at around 13-16 cm Waterchange 17/04

Hey guys😀I have purple stems and crispy leafs on some of My genos. Mostly on older fan leafs. My total EC is 0,9. Water here is soft with an EC of around 0,2. It’s low humidety in the room at 32% Pics of stem+leafs are the last pics from week 10. Thanks in advance

The hey are still showing signs of nute stress. With the hooking leaves (nitrogen) and the large spots on the leaves ( phosphorus). I don’t know if this is from before or current so I’ll saythis when you have a nute burn you burn the fine root hairs which is where your nutrients are drawn into the plant first. Usually leaving the main part of the root to do all of the work ( which is where the water is pulled into the plant). It takes a while for these fine root hairs to grow back so the plants will appear “stuck” if you’ve made the appropriate reductions in your feed regiment then they will grow back and the plants will recover within a week or so if not you’ll need to back the nutes off some more

Pics are from 11 days into flowering. Looks very good👍🏼👍🏼 EC has been on the low side 0,6-0,8. Really suprised how low EC they are taking. It seems like low EC is how they thrive best. They seem to respond good to the super cropping. Lots of tops forming equally👍🏼👍🏼 There seems to be a big difference in the three genotypes. interesting to see how they develope. Update: put them under the screen 23/04 Changed from veg nutrient to flower nutrient 24/04

After 5 days of not visiting the grow room I was a bit suprised by how much they have developed. They are doing great it seems. It took three hours to get them in the same hight again under the screen😅 Still using very low EC with good result. Buds are really starting to show. There is a big difference in how the three gene types have developed the last week. The most sativa looking is racing from the two others. Lots of bud formation on the sativa looking genotype. It’s starting to smell good in the grow room😋 Update: water change 11/05/18

They are doing good. Lots of bud sites everywhere The slowest flowering genos are starting to slow down their stretching, but they stil need one last training session to become perfect😅 there is at least a week difference in grow rate between the genos. They seem to be happy with a low EC. Drinking a lot of water and EC. The EC is being topped up all the time. Since they are doing good I will keep it that way until they demand more. Eating around 50-100ml canna a day. The nut manufacture recommend an EC of 1,6 at this stage (light regime) but it seems like they don’t need that mutch. Am I on the right track?

The slowest of the plants are still stretching😱 The fastes looks like it’s almost done!!!? Big, big difference in flowering time it seems. It’s to crowded now . My best option is to try and reposition them or remove the smallest ones. It’s a hard choice as always. Not impressed by the buds yet. Doesn’t look Any bigger then what I’ve grown before. But we’ll see. Last week I tried raising the EC to 1,4. Looks like this was a tad too mutch. They don’t drink as mutch nuts as they did when it was 1,3. So I will go low this week. around 1,2. Update:24/05-18 had to do some last training. They where blocking each other. Did som de foliage as well. Also changed water and adferd pk to the nuts

Hi there, what a lovely scrog! Yes harvest is near but you still need to wait a couple of days, your trichomes are currently clear and thin, they must become fat and milky, then you'll know you're in the perfect harvest window. I'll be around, keep us up-to-date, and good luck with these beauties!

So the 4 red labeled lady’s is the most mature looking. The other 8 plants are at least 1-2 weeks behind. The EC is a bit tricky to dial in this time. Some of the plants are darkish green and the others looks either nutburnd or have to little nut. So Ive kept the EC low to be sure. They drink a lot of water while the EC Stays stabel. EC 0.8.

Happy Harvest Day!

Harvested the first 4 plants labeled red at day 63. They have a lot of rock hard buds. Really rock hard. Even the small buds under the canopy are decent looking. They also have a good bud to leaf ratio. They are not to big so I think they are perfect for scrog. All 4 plants yielded almost the same. 65g dry bud 😉 Dry weight 265g Chopped the 4 white labeled plants 21/06/18. Small in statue. Quite a lot of branches that makes it a bit to crowded plant. Lots of undeveloped fluffy popcorns under the canopy. The few top buds was actually pretty good sized and dense. But low weight. On of them where very small. 124g dry Harvested the 4 Blue labeled plants 23/06/18 Some of them where beasts and I got 100g dry from one of these lady’s. They where not as super dense as the red ladys. but had some big buds. Combined weight for these lady’s where 285g dry. The smallest gave 50 g. Very bushy and a lot of branches. A bit more leafy than the red ladys. The buds under the canopy where fluffy. They where not traind as good as the others where. Potency was the same in all the different genos. 7/10 is the overal verdic.

The yield was very good for first time. But the potency/smell/taste was not so good, mediocre at best. So for yield thums up but for everything else not so mutch. It was also very sensitive to nuts. really can’t Handel a lot of nuts. But that’s a good thing.

Looks like nutrient burn overall to me. Purple stems are an indication of issues with the Phosphorus levels.
DudeGrowsWeed
DudeGrowsWeedcommented7 years ago
@Mr_fluffy, You’re right, 0.7 EC should be fine. I’m also a little surprised your humidity is low with hydroponics, usually that helps raise the humidity for you, but 32% is low. I’d try getting it up to 45-50%
Mr_fluffy
Mr_fluffycommented7 years ago
@DudeGrowsWeed, yeah I agree, but I’m just suprised over how little nuts I’m using. 0,7 EC Is very little don’t you think? The EC is stable so that’s an indicator I guess. Is the low humidety maby contributing?

This would have gone better with a good defoliation around the tops! Tranperation problems due to rusted leaves, your still getting nice heads forming but yeah you could have got more if the tops could breath easier and More light would get it! Your scrogging is fantastic BTW!
