Medium is coco coir + 20% Perlite and hydroton on top to slow evaporation. Theres also hydroton on the bottom of the saucer, to prevent water accumulation in the bottom of the pot. Measuring nutes first time and PHing down was time consuming. Will have to upgrade fan later down the road. Having it hooked to a potentiometer makes it go too slow to be able to add a carbon filter on top, and at max speed its way too loud. Will probably struggle with high humidity. Next week I'm adding two mini fans inside for circulation, and later down the road a tiny dehumidifier in the room the tent is in. Seed sprouted nicely, pH and EC* of soil are balanced to my liking, should be a good start. Quantum Board is dimmed to approximately 24W, providing 10000 lux at top of soil, according to a somewhat questionable phone app. *Starting water EC was 0.24, added nutes until it reached 0.47ec. Considering the water is soft and carries essential micronutrients, I ignore its initial EC and gave my regular programmed amount of 0.20ms/cm of nutes for Seedling. UPDATE: Will get a TT100U Dual 140m3/h extractor and a Canlite 150m3/h by the end of this month, maintaining noise levels, but being able to add a carbon filter to resolve any smells issues later on. Day 3: Added 2 5V PC fans for circulation 24/7. Seems to be reacting well to nutes and PH, air circulation is good, humidity is appropriate, 55% during the day to 70% at night. Day 5: Moved the setup to a new location, behind a thick curtain, which reduces the noise of the exhaust verg significantly. I can now keep it running 24/7 and make sure humidity doesn't get too crazy. Watered around 100-200ml around the borders of the pot to encourage the roots to search for water. She seems nice and healthy. Day 6: Started very light LST. She is about a clipper lighter tall, and having very limited vertical space to work, this is a risky move I decided to make early. Day 7: Didn't mind the bending and continued growing as if nothing happened. Awesome. Onto week 2.

Upped EC from 0.2mS/cm to 0.3mS/cm. (0.57ms/cm if you count initial tap water EC). Testing the EC of the coco using the slurry method, it remains stable at 0.35mS/cm. Watering 400ml every 2 days, just to keep the coco moist. Facing high temperatures. Sometimes it gets up to 31C in there. Humidity fluctuates in the 50-60%. She doesn't seem to care one bit tho. --- Day 8: Watered 400ml. Temps are around 28-30C and Humidity 40-50%. Just a week ago it was around 70%.. Oh well, not gonna mess with it too much. Hope I can maintain these levels of humidity when flower time comes. Day 10: Watered 400ml. Humidity 40-55%, temperature is REALLY high. Around 29C minimum, 31C max. She's growing well though. Day 13: Moved to a new owner due to space and smell limitations. Damaged one of the first leaves in the transport but she should be fine. Upgraded to a better hygrometer, which tells me I've been getting super inaccurate readings from the initial tiny one.

Day 18: Rearranged PC fans for better intake. Started 0.4mS/cm watering. Upped light to 31.5W. Day 20: Watered last night instead of in the morning due to a sudden drooping either from possible temperature shock/not enough feed. Switching to 400ml daily to compare results. Adjusted LST wires further.

Upped mS/cm to 0.7. Now watering 400ml daily in the morning. Tons of new growth below the fully developed leaf sets. She's gonna be a bush like we hoped! Stems are slightly purple and there's a few tiny bubbles of what we assume is dried up nutes on a few leaves. Besides that, she's doing great! Taking the 31.5w great, might even up a bit next week. Resumed LST, she's really taking off in terms of growth in the last 48h, hoping she keeps it up for the following week.

Day 29: She's grown more in the last 4 days, than in the last month! Watering is now at 1.0mS/cm, light at approx 40w. Day 30: Smells planty, close up. Updating LST and doing some string leaf tucking to let some more light into lower sites. Day 31: Reinforced LST bigtime. Did some further leaf tucking to alow better light penetration. Reduced water to 200ml daily to avoid excessive runoff. Day 32: it's a bit foggy tonight, so humidity got a bit high at 72% at lights out. Will check tomorrow if it gets any higher thru the night. Update: It got to 84% during the night, which is bad if these RH levels continue to pop-up during flower. For now, we pray. Day 34: Getting very high humidity, upwards of 80% at lights out, and temps are dropping to 20C too. No ill effects so far. LST seems to be paying off and you can start to tell future budsites are mostly leveled and even.

I'm feeding Bionova Coco Forte A+B which is 8-0-0 and 0-6-12. I'm afraid my buds will be airy due to low P and K dosages. Do you think this will be the case? I was thinking of adding Bionova P20 and K20 to the schedule as she enters flower. Too much or should I go for it?

Hey Mate, I would go slow on that. BioNova is highly concentrated. Do not overdo it! I wouldn't start before week 3 of bloom, when the stretch is over. Your damsel will tell you when she needs more of it. A high K -Value at beginning of bloom will probably kill your plant. Start bloom and see how the Buds develop and then add your booster if you like to. Good luck and happy trails for the rest of the way! Cheerz OimRausch

Day 36: Moved PC fans up to cool any heat from the LEDs. Added a new circulation fan. Added a dehumidifier bag to keep humidity under control. Added new fan and carbon filter! Day 38: First pruning session. Took leaves that were too hidden below the main canopy and weren't able to properly photosynthetize and contribute to plant development. Also helps with better airflow at the base. 10-13 tops counted on her already! Started P20 by Bionova to boost new growth and budsites. Will switch to K20 when they start to bud so they fatten up properly. Nervous about adding new nutes, but let's see how it goes. Day 39: Upped watering to 450ml daily with no runoff. Tied down nodes to even out the canopy. Inverted pot position to make lower nodes benefit from more light and hopefully catch up to the tallest ones. Slurry test reveals steady medium EC values at 0.6ms/cm, so she should be good keeping this schedule with the added P20. Calibrated hygrometers. Found out big one is +8% from reality and small one is +3%. Average humidity is around 60%.

Day 44: Pruned any leaves that weren't getting any light or were impeding good airflow or light towards the lower sites. Reset all training points, now tying down individual nodes to even the canopy, and forcing her to stay within the pot's boundaries.

Day 61: Have been plucking a few leaves here and there. Today did a major pruning session because lots of leaves were overlapping and impeding light from reaching the lower part of the plant. A bit more than we'd like to prune, but it's all for mold and rot prevention, as we're running higher humidity than we'd like. Other than that, she's growing vigorously! Smelling only when close up or touched, hints of manure, pine and celery.

Day 64: Well.. Nothing to add! Just boosted K20 a bit for this week and will continue to do so till the last week. She's doing great! Day 65: 4 balls on her. She's a shy hermie. We keep an eye out and push forward, hoping for little to no seeds at the end. Day 66: Humidity is getting steadily lower as she thiccens which is very nice. She's packing some serious frost now.

Day 71. Starting to show some purple, which was unexpected! Removed a few leaves that were overlapping. Day 74: Today was a bit heart breaking. We found a spot with botrytis/stem rot starting to set in. It appears we have discovered it fairly early. After searching treatments, we ended up doing a mix of them to try and avoid losses. Obviously cutting the branch off would be the most obvious choice, but we are trying to keep her as is and do some experiments in the name of growing science. We dusted with cinnamon, which has proven to be efficient in terms of anti-fungal properties, and let it sit for a couple hours. Then, we decided to remove the spot where the rot is showing up. We sprayed with H2o2, scraped out the affected area as much as possible, sprayed again and wiped dry. We then sealed the wound with candle wax. We also spread some more cinnamon on other susceptible entry points for fungus, mostly where leaves had been cut or where the stem was more fragile. We really hope this turns out well and we win this fight against the dreaded fungi. We suspect the raise in humidity this week triggered it. She was in the 30s to 40% last week, but the weather changed and she rose about 60% these last couple days. Pray for us, grower friends. Day 75: Had to remove the side branch that was connected to the main stem at the spot where the rot appeared. 😕 Patched her up and am praying this is the last of the consequences of this situation.. Pushing as much as we can to avoid and chop her early.. Day 77: Gave her the final haircut. 😊 Mold situation appears to be under control. Looking frosty as fuck!

How would you deal with stem rot at very initial stages? We dusted with cinnamon, sprayed with H2o2, scraped the affected area, wiped dry and coated with candle wax to seal the wound. Check this week's recent diary photos for more details on how it looks atm.

you did well taking care of the root rot, i would keep using chelation agent to break down the problem roots though.

Day 79: Made the call to chop the main cola today. The very bottom leaves were darkening in a suspicious way, and since that's where the infection began, we figured better safe than sorry. She still looks amazing! Day 83: First signs of Amber. Countdown!

Day 85: She's about 11 days off from harvest. We're planning to harvest on the 10th! Looks great, smells good but subtle! Getting some slight tip-burn/fade here and there but that shouldn't be too much trouble at this time. Day 87: Doesn't seem she'll bulk up much more, just ripening now. Keeping a close eye on trichome changes. Early harvested cola due to stem rot is just finishing drying and heading for cure this week. Can't wait to kick-start the next grow as soon as she finishes! 😁 Day 90: She's starting to noticeably fade. Flower is more purple than ever. Hope the colours stick through dry and cure.

Day 92: Onto her final week! She's picture perfect. So proud we achieved this in our very first grow. Couldn't have asked for better. She's super purple and thick all over. Smell is still faint, which is the only downside. Let's see what cure brings. She'll be chopped on the 10th! This last week she is just getting ph'd water. Not for flushing, but just to attempt to bring out the fade a bit more.

We have reached the finish line! Growing her was a pleasure, she never complained at all. Best characteristics: - Tight internodal spaces - Dense buds and good amount of flower sites - Disease and High Humidity resistance - Takes training like a champ - Withstands nutes up to 1.8mS/cm (including tap water EC) Downsides: - She's quite low odor, only stank up a room in her very last week. Let's see what cure brings. - Had to early chop a cola due to stem rot, but with the humidity fluctuations we were dealing with, I would've expected it to spread and worsen, but it stopped dead in its tracks as soon as we chopped. - Roots weren't super developed. They covered the whole 4L pot, but we're quite thin and not a total white block as I've seen before. The ones closer to the beginning of the stem were super thick though. - She showed 4 male pollen sacks, but we got away with no seeds, so that can be considered a win. Learning points: - Don't water so much at the start. - Don't train so early. - Prune regularly, but only a few leaves at a time so as not to stress. - Supplement Silica for stronger stems. - Supplement Mychorizzae for stronger roots. Most important of all, anyone can grow weed! They're super resilient plants and will take a beating and still make it to the end. Plan out your NPK proportions and appropriate EC levels, your light intensity, airflow and humidity, watering, root oxigenation and you will be successful. I studied for about 2 months before starting her, and it really paid off. Overall, this was an AMAZING first grow. We never expected bud of this quality. She was chopped at around 3% amber, and to be fair, the lower buds couldve used another week, but we didn't have space to setup another dry tent. I'll be updating on a smoke report and terpene profile later on. Wet weight: 40g trim 270g bud and stem 0.1g charas hash +3.6g from early harvest cola. Estimating 40g dry weight without the stems. Update: She's in the jars, at a whopping 54.8g!!!! 😁
