Aug 3: looking nice and frosty and the buds are thickening, but still no amber trichromes. Still just getting pHed water.
Aug3-6: very hot for this area for last two weeks (near 30C), but rain on Aug 7. Yesterday it felt like 32C and today it maxed out at 14C.
Aug 7: drilled two small holes (3/32” to match width of stem) at right angles to each other about one cm apart this morning. This should be equivalent to ‘stem splitting’ and way less hassle.
Checked in the afternoon and the buds seem to have more orange pistils since being drilled about 7 hours ago. The buds also seem to be much harder and look better so this might be a good technique even for autos. Pics are from 9 hours after drilling the stem and buds are definitely responding to this HST.
@Northern_Ent,
I am hoping for some good outdoor results myself this year. Your diaries are a good inspiration for doing what you can do get the best quality in yield and product
@MalicetoDream, thanks. I think this turned out the best buds of all my plants so far and I’m looking forward to trying some nicely cured buds here soon.
@Djek2018, thanks. I fimmed it and decided I also wanted to try some LST. Not sure if that combo was a good idea or not, but wanted to try it. It’s usually cool overnight here and I don’t think this plant handles that as well as some others. Basically I think I might have too many colas going, but it might work out great as the plant is still pretty young.
