Started some pink cbd auto. Freebie from seedsman. I have 2 more for a second run for end of summer. Hoping all goes well. Based on recent past failures making up for my mistakes. Since I’m still a total nube! Using promix BX. Really letting soil dry out before the water. Going to watch closely for signs of needing feed. So far they are looking good.
Having a bout of flea beetles that I’m struggling to get rid of. So I had to douse everything with DE and then added some sticky traps. Hoping they are gone and dead now. Ugh. These things are pissing me off around my garden and a whole. I have a 1600 sq ft garden plus the greenhouse. Eradicating these buggers is not for the faint of heart.
Used some pyrethrum outside. But would prefer not to put this on my plants in greenhouse. Hoping DE does trick in there.
Added screens to my screen house. To reduce bugs coming in. Hope this helps too. Have found moths and dragonflies just chillin on my girls. Not sure they are harmful but no!
Couple bite holes from flea beetles but they seem to be lesser every day. So hopefully getting a handle on them.
Gave these girls their first good watering. Using vinegar as ph down. Waiting for my digital reader today so I can get it more accurate.
Off to a good start.
Doing well. One of the plants was attacked by my fly paper in the wind when I had them outdoors. It removed part of one of the leaves and bent it over. Stem not broken so I started it with lst. Since these are potted in promix bx instead of ocean floor like my others, I begin their feeding this week with a light dose of grow big ff. 3 tsp In 2 gallons. They grew new sets of leaves and no sign of stress of nute burn. Water is now ph correctly so I think this will help all around turned the extra hours of lights off for rest of grow but leaving it on for an extra hour in the evenings for these babies. I’ll turn it off when they flower in a couple weeks. All 3 still going well. Will start the other 2 when these get closer to harvest for a second crops.
These are slow growers compared to blueberry auto. As expected from other diaries I read. Started lst on the plant that got knocked over. She is recovering fine from the paper incident but read they don’t take well to training so I just pulled the wires off. First signs of flower on one plant. Excited to see these bloom for the colors. Increasing feed. Grow big. Doing well. No signs of distress or over feeding or over watering. Trying to give them as much time outdoors as possible. Been quite rainy here so supplementing with lights. But had a nice day full of sunshine yesterday. Stuck in greenhouse with lights again today.
One is in flower and the other two are just beginning to but stretching quiet well.
These are much smaller than the blueberry auto when it started to flower. I expected as much as other growers have stated that it is a rather small plant with a small yield. These are 3 of 5 seeds. Once harvested I will begin 2 more. And try a few new things to see if I can increase yield. Anyway they are pretty and flower is going to be a cool Color.
I wish I could pot these up on my deck and make them pretty. But I have minors in household and by law required to lock them up. 🤷♀️🏻
Missed a week posting as I was on vacation.
But they are flowering nicely. Very small plants. But one is 24 inches tall. I’m planning to move them around the greenhouse tomorrow. As I believe they may be getting shaded by the larger plants in there. Hopefully now that I’m home I can just put them outdoors until harvest (on good days)
They have been pretty easy to grow. But we will see about yield. These were freebies so I’m not too worried about it. They are pretty though. They have a mild scent but nothing like my other plants. More floral. Interesting. Will increase feeding schedule a bit to tiger bloom. Now that they are bigger and I’m home to monitor.
All three planted at same time and all three totally differing sizes. Getting fatter but still relatively small autos. Pretty colors though. And can’t wait to harvest some cbd!!!!
Went from a lovely lite scent to skunking out the greenhouse in one week. Whoa baby! Not fruity or citrusy as my blueberry. And way stronger. (Well there are also 3 in flower plus 2 blues in flower so...)
Small plants but the big girl has gotten as tall as my potting bench. And just one main cola on her and the baby sister. My out middle sister here she grew some side colas (show off) very excited for some 30:1 cbd. These are just beautiful plants. They get all the compliments from my visiting guests. (Show offs)
Ph has been off due to time constraints and heat. I’ve just been hosing them down. Instead of carefully adjusting ph and nutrients. One of my other strains was flipping leaves and show massive deficits in calcium. So I decided to just give them all a good well ph’d water with cal-mag.
Let’s hope for the best and boost in bud!
I’ll keep to working my ph down moving forward. But with fairly large 12 plants and back to working full time plus my 1500 sq ft vegetable garden plus all my other gardens around this “farm” I’m just running out of time for proper care. I’d pull my kids in to help but the cover emend frowns upon that sooooo.... guess it’s on me. They will have to stick to helping with the veggies and the chickens. 😂
I think these ladies are done. Just need to flush and harvest. When I harvested my blue berry last week saw a spider mite issue. Lady bugs to the rescue.
I would have flushed this week but the spider mite issue had me worried . I soaked them down and dried them out. No pyrethrum for these girls but I did give them some de. And then washed it off after a few days. You can still see some remnants in the photo.
Well maybe next weeks post will be harvest 🙌🏼 Can’t wait to enjoy some 30:1 cbd
How to tell when it’s time to harvest pink kush cbd 30:1?
Through the micro scope everything looks purple. Or brown. Plus there is almost no thc content I. These so would harvesting now be best for cbd?
Naturally the leaves turn yellow From bottom up. most of the pistils will curl up and turn orange-red and thricomes turn amber (around 60-75%)
You are almost there.
Happy harvest!!!!
There wasn’t much info on this strain. It was hard to find. Expected low yield. But all 3 plants grew at different rates.
They started to flower really early it seemed: and needed differing care from my other strains. Not sure this is a good choice for an outdoor grow. I still have 2 seeds left so maybe if I decide to set up an indoor grow I can yield some better results
Flowered fast. Was harvestable fast. Waited too long to harvest started to get some bud rot. The dark purple color makes it hard to tell when trichomes are ready. Not a great strain for beginner growers. Has some tricky traits. But I will try again with extra seeds. This was a seedsman freebie. This is not a complaint. Free cbd flower is always welcome in my garden. 😬
I just wish I had been able to yield more and grow bigger plants.
Will try an indoor grow and maybe a 24 hr auto cycle to give it more veg time before it’s early flower.
I look forward to mastering high cbd strains some day.
Edit. Dried and now curing - weighing in at 1.4oz dry. Oddly it didn’t lose much weight dried. Cool! Not complaining. 😬
yeah looking great, I seen the lady bugs in the pic :D I noticed your question and thought your plants looked like 6 inches tall and budding but it was just the perspective from the camera I guess, still very cute plants was it expensive to add the lady bugs? More a response then a preventative measure I guess, but who doesn't like lady bugs
@@nicks,
I’m a big fan of 1:1 cbd:thc so I’ll intend to mix it up.
I would really like to grow some critical mass cbd next season or even if I choose an indoor grow. Some of the cbd strains were pricey and since this inks my first go of it, I wanted to make sure I could get the hang of it. And get over some the stigma around growing in a household with teenagers. And having that “eye roll” look of disapproval from non cannabis friendly people I know. So now I can officially say I’ve been growing since April. And IM OVER IT! My Kids are well educated on cannabis and medicinal value of this plant. The danger of narcotic medication. The dangers of drinking too much. And I’m not ashamed to grow in my home.
I follow the rules to the letter of the law. And So far my first auto blueberry harvest yielded 2oz dry. For a $4 seed. 🙌🏼
Already whipped up a trim tinture. And getting ready to try the blue berry in about a week.
It’s been a really good experience overall.
Critiical mass here I come.
@Muthaofdragonflies, lol 1500 for $20 seems like a good deal even if 1300 fly away. I dont think I'd like lady bugs as much if there was 2000 in my tent though :P but be nice to have maybe 20 hanging around, anyway glad it worked for you. I'm thinking after I get some stock from a successful harvest I might branch out and try some strains that have low yield that not many people grow for that reason.
I was also thinking of trying CBD eventually, but i need to get myself established, and take care of my habit. I have limited experience with High CBD weed, but i kinda like it as an alternative if i know I need to go out or be doing something, I can still smoke on something, feel relaxed without being high af.
Keep up the good work :D I found the CBD i bought from a dispensary had a medicine type smell, I didn't like it at first but after a couple grams it grew on me
@@nicks, yes those were just the tops. They are small plants. They were freebie seeds. And seems to be a newish strain. Reporting small yields. But my small is about 15inches tall. The tall one is about 36. But they are just one tall stalk. No side shoots. Really strange plant. Smells interesting too. Pretty though.
Yes lady bugs were fun to release in there. I paid just about $20 for 1500 of them. They were swarming around my greenhouse for a day or two. And now there are just a few in all the plants. Munching away on more. Most mite seem to be gone. And the rest of the lady bugs must have flown out the vent windows. But that’s ok because I found a bunch of them outside in my vegetable garden and a bunch on my dahlias. As long as they stick around the yard helping me organically rod myself of these pests I’m cool with their freedom. 👍🏻
