First Meph grow, hoping things go well. Decided to start with a freebie in case things go south.
Starting seed using the dvd case wet paper towel method.
Day 1 - Tap root showing, placed in a rapid rooter with ~2mm of water resting in bottom of small Tupperware and put in a dark cupboard.
Day 3 - Just starting to sprout out of the rapid rooter.
Day 5 - Waiting on that helmet to pop off, seedling is under a humidity dome.
Day 7 - Seed has released, no more humidity dome.
Day 10 - Plant is looking good so far, have a few roots coming out below the net pot.
Day 11 - Roots have grown but don’t seem to be stretching, removed 3 solo cups full of water from the res.
Day 12 - Not much changing, having steady growth on the top and in the bucket.
Day 14 - Last day of week 2, so far pretty happy with the growth and don’t think I’ll be changing water for at least a week still.
Day 16 - Lots of root growth in the past few days. Considering changing out water and upping the nutrients a bit and making it a 1:1:1 ratio.
Day 20 - Started LSD on day 19 and seems to be going well so far. First set of leaves are starting to get some spotting on them, guessing a nutrient deficiency but if anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them.
Day 23 - Lowest fan leaves are starting to dry out, and the spotting is starting on the second lowest set of leaves.
Day 24 - Plant took to lst very well and there’s ~ 4 to 5 tops all around the same height.
Day 25 - Switched to 18/6 to help with tent temps, trying to keep that bucket water cooler.
Day 26 - Lower leaves aren’t doing so hot but the plant is loving the increase in nutes, stalled maybe a day and is now taking off.
Day 30 - things seem to be going well so far, a nice even canopy from lst.
Day 32 - plants starting to take off, grew from 11” yesterday to 13” today
Day 34 - Plant jumped up to 15” now
Day 51 - Steady growth, and I’ve made the switch to mega crop and bud explosion for nutrients, which means I am now adjusting the ph of my water, shooting for 5.8 +/- 0.2
Day 52 - noticing some brown spots near the tips of some leaves, assuming cal mag but not sure. I will add some next bucket change
Day 57 - buds are starting to fatten up a bit
Day 61 - perfect timing for the plant to stop going upwards, and start bulking up
Day 63 - noticing some yellowing on the leaves, I’m guessing ph
More and more stems are leaning over, just hanging tight until harvest. Added in a trichome pic too, guessing a couple weeks out, maybe somewhere around 100 days
She’s getting there, Day 100 is looking pretty good so far, which I’m fine with for DWC. Thinking of trying soil next to see how much time gets knocked off the grow.
Pretty strong stuff. Hits hard in the head for about half an hour then eases into body, can be an all day smoke if you stay on it, or else laziness will set in.
Harvested on day 102. Pretty happy with the amount of amber trichs that I went for this time. Currently hanging in the tent drying, I will update the rest including weight when it’s dried and trimmed.
Tested after 5 days in the jar, and she’s pretty strong. Happy with how this freebie turned out.
