S1 Acid Dough #2

Tazard This is one of the seeds from my first harvest. It was created by allowing the mother plant to naturally grow male flowers (preservation instinct of an unfertilized female plant). I only found about 20 seeds in the 260g of buds from the plant that went to seed. I didn’t have any seeds in the clones that were in the tent with the mother nor did the other two Acid Dough that were harvested earlier in that grow. This suggests that the seeds were created by a “banana” in the bud (bananas usually pollinate from the inside). I will of course watch very closely for the dreaded hermie.

Tazard Her first leaves are looking great she is working on pushing out her second leaves. D10 she is working on her third set now. D12 she is right on point with Acid Dough #1. I’ve decided that they are not identical. #1 has 4 fingers on one of her second leaves. As of this week I am using rain water in place of my RO tap water.

Tazard Beginning of week 3 and she is growing so fast (just like her mommy). Small branches are sprouting from nodes and she has a nice healthy color. I’m still up in the air about method, though knowing me it will probably be super cropping. D16 super cropped her today. I think I wanna have 6-8 colas on her.

Tazard I switched nutrients midweek last week to Advanced Nutrients. I was really excited and worried about the change. The ppm scared the hell out of me in DWC but the patient tolerant representative told me not to worry about the ppm. So I mixed up some 3week for her. She didn’t like it one bit. Immediately she began to wilt. I left the solution in overnight. She was still sad the next morning so I mixed her up some week 2 nutes. She absolutely loved it perked right up and seemed to grow before my eyes. I left the week 2 nutes in for 2 days and then gave her the week 3 nutes back. Without hesitation she was even happier and more vigorous than before. On day 21 I gave her week 4, full strength, nutes and she clawed the very tips of her leaves for about 3 hours. She is growing so fast. Having grown with my other nutrients for the last 11 grows I can easily see a huge difference in growth.

Tazard She is so happy and healthy. I have some autos in my tent that are late flowering so she continues with veg. I will spend the time getting her radial branches even with her tops.

Tazard Growing great with the nutrient change. When she gets about 18” (45cm) I will let her flower.

Tazard Added photos from day 52. I missed the update. She is just waiting for her sister to thoughen up some.

Tazard Wow she has really perked up in the last few days. I suspect that her roots have reached the waterline in her reservoir. I suspect that I’ll move her to the flower tent this weekend.

Tazard Boy is she looking like she is going to be a monster!! Big beautiful leaves, fast growing side branches have already appeared by D3. Spoiler alert she’s already put on 2” at D3!

Tazard She looks totally awesome check out her leaves and side growth!!!! No sign whatsoever of male flowers from my S1 seeds!

Tazard I broke a branch trying to even up the tops. I taped it and it looks like it will be fine. She is looking awesome and continues to grow. Hopefully she can get between 3-4 feet tall.

Tazard Wow just wow. She’s a monster y’all! Gonna make me some big buds! It will be interesting to see if her sister can keep up on yields.

Tazard Wow. She gained another 13” this week. I have the light as high as it can get without putting it on top of the support bars. She’s a monster ya’ll. Thanks again for following me!!!

Tazard Wow she looks awesome!!!! I really don’t know what else to say. She smells pungent with a fuel odor. She has big buds buds big as my head!

Tazard Wow what a beautiful monster she has become. I think (hope) she is done stretching. I have had to support most of the colas this week. A few had lain over towards other plants and if they were not blocking them then I left them lain over. The buds are really looking great and they are getting fatter on the daily. Thanks again for following me on my adventure with making my own seeds.

Tazard Down to the final three weeks for a ten week flower. Just shows how easily you can get viable feminized seeds from your feminized (not S1) plants. I am very pleased with the two S1 Acid Dough experiment and will continue to share my exploits for everyone here on Grow Diaries. I found a family of wonderful people I call friends.

Tazard Welcome to the beginning of week nine. She is filling in nicely runs appear to be minimal. She is listed as a 65-70 day strain by Ripper. As I said before this was grown from seeds obtained by letting Rippers Acid Dough go to seed (see my first grow diary for details). Since she pollinated herself they are S1 seeds and of course feminized since no male plant was used.

Tazard She is just getting fatter and heavier. I think all the buds have fallen over or are leaning against something. I’m really hoping to see 600g/m2 (55g/ft2) from her. The parent I made the seeds from yielded 260g.

Tazard She is still gaining weight. I’ve added some more supports and trimmed the shaded branches (yummy). I’m going to wait until I see a few amber Trichs so I’m sure I got everything she had to give.

Tazard Started Flushing this week. I think it’ll be a good yield. Buds are fat and heavy and sticky. There is a strong odor of sweet fruit. Stay tuned I’ll be harvesting Saturday.

Tazard Definitely harvesting this weekend!!!! What else can I say? She is a monster? She has big buds? Still not green. Hmmm. I bet this will do it. 😆

Tazard I could tell within a week of flower that she would probably be a monster. She was always given priority for space and light. When I realized that she was covering 7sqft I realized that she didn’t have enough light and I moved 3 more LED’s to her so as to not be light limited for harvest. Based on 600g/m2 I needed at least 400w for her. I managed to get almost 670g/m2!
