Day 5 - She's poked through the soil. The last 2 Master Kush seeds I tried didn't make it. I'm not sure if it was the seeds or the grower. Either way, I'm excited to see how she does.
Day 18 from seed. So far, so good. No nutrients added yet but I did add some diatomaceous earth. Every so often I see fungus gnats in my tent. I haven't noticed any damage from them but I've read that the larvae can attack the roots of plants. I'm also going to resist watering so often to keep any fungus away.
Day 21 - Some small growth but looking healthy. I added a little nutrients to the water this time.
Day 23 from seed. She's doing well. No real problems so far.
Day 28 from seed. Some growth up and out. She looks healthy but also as though she might need some more nutrients soon.
Day 36 from seed. I put her in the 7 gallon pot. I would have used a smaller pot first but didn't have any available.
Day 38 from seed. Some gradual gains. I hope to see her growth take off soon. I plan to keep her in veg for a good while as she is in a tent with autos and I don't want to change to 12/12 lighting until the autos are done flowering or my other tent becomes free.
Day 41 - She is growing, but not as fast as I would like to see. Hopefully she is getting used to her transplant and will start to take off soon. I'm trying not to overdo it with the nutrients but I think she will need fairly generous doses.
Day 45- She's starting to fill out and grow taller. I gave her straight water today but next watering she'll need some nutrients. I FIMmed her for the first time yesterday.
Day 47- She is recovering well from the FIMming. She is bushy so far and looks healthy.
Day 49 - I FIMmed the lower sites. I think that this will be the only growing technique I use other than some defoliation. Maybe I'll try some super cropping to see if it does anything...
Day 51 - Growing outward quite quickly. Glad to see that she didn't mind the FIMming.
Day 56 - She is starting to gain speed with her growth. Quite a stalky, strong looking plant.
Day 60 - She seems to be doing well and is very bushy. Her leaves are quite dark without much for nutrients. I've read that this is common for the kush plants so I hope that is true.
Day 63 - I took 6 clones from this little lady and plan to take more in a little while. I hope to flip the light on this little lady once my autos have done flowering. In the mean time, I will let her grow nice and big.
Day 67 - She is recovering well from the clone removal. I continue to be sparse with the nutrients and yet she is still really dark. She isn't the tallest but is very bushy with large leaves.
Day 73 - I took 9 more clones today and hope to get some results. I also did some light LST to get more light to the lower side branches. Unfortunately, I snapped one of the branches along the stem and had to brace and tape it back together. Hopefully it will heal nicely.
Day 76 - I did some super cropping of the top 4 stems. This is the bulkiest plant I have grown so far. The stems are very hard and thick. The canopy is very full with large leaves. I know I have done a lot of trauma to the plant in the last few days, but hopefully she will tolerate it well and flourish. I can't put her into flower until the Autos are done, which should be in the next 2 weeks.
Day 77 - She has recovered well from the super cropping. I already see significant differences since yesterday. This lady seems to like a lot of abuse.
Day 87 - This lady is MAD today!. She looks terrible because she is thirsty and I should have watered her yesterday but I was away. I'm sure she will be fine after a big drink.
Day 92 - I needed to top her because she was getting taller than I want her to be. I also put a tomato ring around her to help spread the limbs apart. Unfortunately, when I was bending limbs another one snapped away from the trunk. I have taped it back together and hope for the best. This lady is so stiff and the branches are thick so they are harder to manipulate.
Day 105 - A few pictures of the healed super-cropped branches and broken stems. This lady has been very stiff from day one. LST had been difficult because she liked to break every time I would try to spread the branches. I am using a tomato cage to separate the branches.
Day 109 - She's starting to show some preflowering and it is a girl. 😍
**I am sticking to top-dressing with Gaia Green Power Bloom and occasionally adding some molasses to feed the soil. This girl has been very dark green throughout her grow, even with limited nitrogen. I'm assuming that this may be genetic as she is still growing well.
Day 121 - I did some major defoliation in hopes of increasing yields. With any luck, she will appreciate the increased light to the lower branches and I can avoid getting a ton of larf. The leaves go to my 10 year old pig, Theo. He loves the taste of anything cannabis related and I give him leaves to help with his pain and sleep.
Day 122 - The day after defoliation. This lady sure has a lot of pistols on it!
Day 125 - She seems to be handling the harsh treatment well, so far.
