This is the first time I try breeding two strains, it's exciting and I'm so happy to see what the results will be. The male is the astro kush (Fugu Kush (Pre-98 Bubba Kush x Blowfish ) crossed with TopDawg Seeds Tre StarDawg) The female is GDP Auto X Gumberry Auto. Has anyone ever bred with any of those 2 strains?

I have made my first breed and I am wondering how will my baby flower, her mother is an auto (GDP x gumberry auto) and her father is a reg (astro kush), will the offspring be 50% reg and 50% auto? How can I know which genes will be recessive and which will be dominant ? Thank you

it's lineage is all you have to go by as far as quality of nugs. https://www.autoflower.net/forums/threads/seed-production-autoflower-breeding.72115/ looks like it takes a few cycles before you get 100% autos.

She is weird but in a good way I hope she will get better and at the same time I am not worried she is not so bad but a bit strange compared to other and I like it, I don't know if she will grow out of it but we will see, thank you for following my first breeding experiment

06/07/20 They are looking good especially the GDA #03 The mutant, she is growing vigorously but I still wonder if it's a mutation or a deficiency, I guess time will tell, but she really is the one growing the strongest, and she's going to be a real bush if she doesn't die. ;)

22/07 GDA #01 is showing great leafs, I planted her in a lasagna bed I have made last year, so the nutrients were for some taken, I also have grown clover on it and beans on it. She has 1 layer of hemp mulch, one layer of compost and one layer of peanut shells. GDA #02 is looking bad but I was expecting it, I just tried puting one directly in the soil and only put a little compost over the soil and mulch. I will use it to test if there is a different taste/smell of her not being in a lasagna-bed. GDA #03 is really happy she is growing way faster than the other, especially her secondary bud sites, she is smelling enourmously compared to the other, for real I was amazed at how she smelled, I thought it was the big other ladies but nah I came closer to her and yeaah that was her, I am happy about this grow and this breed so far ! GDA #04 is growing happily, I bent her down a bit like GDA #03 so that the secondary branches become big, as big as the main cola ! Both GDA #03 and #04 are in a new lasagna bed I made this year. There are tomatoes close so they have some shade during the day, I know this will not be optional for flowering but I have some time still ! I will be mesuring them all properly and update it. I will also try bend them as down as possible and as often as they grow back up, they have been planted a bit late and I want the most possible yield as I want to taste them all and compare them, in order to know if those seeds are viable as my first "breed". I wanted to breed two regular strain but the male I had went in flower before the regular girls I had came to flowering.. Thank you for following this little adventure in the breeding and growing of mine I enjoy knowing people watch them grow as well, send them love and tell me which one do you prefer, mine is obviously the mutant/deficient one ! Happy growing everyone !

28/07 Hey there I hope everybody has had a nice week and I hope your babies are doing well! For me the week has been good even if I didn't have the time to watch my babies grow closely as I would have liked to. GDA #01 is 41 cm high. She seems to really like where she is, even though she could have more sun but now I can't change that so I'm not going to worry about it ! She is growing fine, I just started lst her after taking pictures today, now her 2ndary branches are going to develop better. GDA #02 is 15cm high. She is still -as expected looking bad. I do not have hope for her, I am just keeping her alive to compare the yields and the taste/aromas with the other GDA. I still care about her with watering just like the other. She just has a poor soil. GDA #03 is 30 cm wide and 25 cm high. She is still smelling way stronger than the other even if some are starting to smell nice too. She is still growing fast and strongly. She still has some problems about the deficiency thing but it really almost disappeared. I think she is a male ! GDA #04 is 30 cm wide and she did not grow back in height, I just bend her down again so when she does she'll be huge. I like her leafs form, very close to the GDA #01 GDA #05, #06 and #07 just sprouted. I am happy to be doing this first tracked breeding experiment. I enjoy watching them grow, and their smell sure tell me I will like them later. Thank you for following this, feel free to advise me if you see me doing a mistake, take care all growers of GD. 👊 🇫🇷

Hi I think one of my new breed, GDA #04 is a male, it is fast growing and smelling so much better, my question is I have read that you can store male pollen for several years if you combine it with flour ? What are you thoughts about it? Also do u think it is a male?

Hello I've heard from some people that the pollen can stay good for many years.. but I know it can at least stay usable for about a year when stored properly. Just get yourself a freezer safe container or some of the zip locks for the freezer. I've personally just stored pollen in very basic containers and it still was able to pollinate my next years plants. *ive heard mixing with a small amount of flour to help keep things dry and useable. Happy growing. ✌️

03/08 It just rained a lot this night! GDA #01 Is looking so well, I love her huge indica leaves. I have bend her down, and she seems to like it, she is preflowering I think as I can see her top cola getting stronger I will not be talking anymore about GDA #02, it is a waste of time, I will mention her only in the smoking report, if ever there is something interesting about her. GDA #03 seems to have completly grown out of the mutation/deficiency, I have the feeling she is smelling coffee beans but I am not sure, She is for sure having a stronger smell than any plant I have had at this stage. I am still waiting for her to show sex, so I will either use her to define if my breeding is good in terms of bud quality if she is a female, if ever she is a male, I will cross-breed her with the Peyote, and the Sugar Tits, and inbreed it with another GDA ! GDA #04 is looking really good, she is growing as fast as the other 2, she has huge leaves that are so cute. I am really happy to have done my first breeding and I am actually so hyped to test and compare the bud quality with her sibling and her parents !! GDA #05 is getting a bit stronger. Thank you for following this little adventure of mine, I hope your plants are doing fine! 🇫🇷

10/08 Everything is going well, I was thinking about bending them down a lot more ! GDA #01 is doing well, she has those huge indica leaves that I really dig for. She is 54 cm high and 45 cm wide, she smells a little bit less than the other two and especially the #03 She is in a lasagna bed I made last year and I added some compost on it, she is growing next to a hell lot of other plants and she really seems to like it ! Next to her are sweet potatoes, normal ones, tomatoes, 3 different kind of flowers, clover ect ! GDA #03 is really healthy, she has those beautiful leaves as well, she is growing a little bit faster than the others and she is smelling stronger ! She is 60 cm high and 45 cm wide, she is my little protégée, and I hope to have different phenos on this new breeding, as it is an outbreeding it's a F1 so I hope to get different ones! There has been some minor damages on leaves but I'm not going to put a pesticide on it neither an insecticide. Because even if it does kill what is doing this, it's going to kill all living things around my plants as well and I don't want that ! GDA #04 Is beautiful I think she has the most even canopy, she is 45 cm high and 50 cm wide. She is doing good and has beautiful green new leaves I love it, and she is smelling really good, even tho a little bit less than the Mutant one. Thank you for following this week, feel free to give me your advise, and happy growing!

I was wondering if he was a male or not. If yes I'm actually pretty happy because I'll be able to breed this male with my Peyote and my Sugar Tits thank you for answering.

My GDA male is 1 m away from my Sugar Tits and 5 from my Peyote I do not want to ruin my harvest but I want to keep breeding, should I cut it all except one flower stem? Can it stress the male plant and affect the genetics of the pollen? What do you think I can do? Ty brogrowers.

Move the male and the plant you want to breed both into a greenhouse like structure or leave the male in that structure there and put a film of plastic around it. The wind will spread the pollen allover like a zombie infection. The only way to keep its pollen awat from others is isolation.

16/08 GDA #01 is def a male, I am so happy the lineage will keep living on. I will try to cross her with as many females as I can. And next year I'll germinate 50 seeds and try finding some crazy phenotypes ! If ever you would like to try the GDA or any other cross I'll make feel free to send me a pm! I'd be happy to give some of my seeds away ! GDA #03 Is soo cute, she is a winner and has completly grown out of her "mutation" She is smelling more than the #04 and I am excited to taste my first breed. It is so interesting !! I love it, the only problem is that she doesn't have that much of a good sunny location she is missing some hours compared to my Peyote but it's not a problem it was to see the quality of my first bred. :) GDA #04 is looking good

I think my Grand Daddy Astrologist topped herself and I don't know how it happened, is it some kind of mutation or just an environmental stress or? And why hasn't it topped on every bud? Could this be a trait that you select on a breeding program? Thank you !

I have seen this happen before i don't think it comes down to genetics, my guess is it is like the tri-leaf mutation that randomly appears but doesn't go with the genetic code, if you had 2 specimens that did this maybe you could breed them and try to make it a more predominant trait, however i doubt it, orelse some strain hunters would've had gotten into huge fields to select just this traits and breed them in order to make a strain with the auto topping gene, same would happen with the tri-leaf, imagine ultimatly having a tri-leaf plant that would automatically top herself at every node and doing this on a 2 meter tall sativa strain to remove the only downside of the tri-leaf, that would give out some massives trees with about 200 colas.

I see what you are concerned about at the base and it might be a little light on the PK, common in organic grows. Wouldn't change a lot but also wouldn't hurt to add some in whatever form you like and keep an eye out

This week was sunny and that's for the best, I seriously have a problem with one of those, but I do not know what it is, if you have a clue, feel free to advise me ! It's about the yellowing around the buds. They are starting to smell, some limonene but not as much as my Sugar Tits. The buds does not look big but they already have a petty decent amount of trichomes. Thank you for following my first cross. I hope you're doing well see ya soon.

Interesting first cross, I like the taste and the effects, the taste reminds me of the mother (gdpxgumberry) even tho the terpene profile was very different from it. One of my plant had a leaf problem in the beginning and then had another problem in the flowering and she has a weird peppery smell, and the taste is harsher. Overall very happy with this experiment, will keep the crosses I made with my other strains and this one and try them later on. The buds were fluffy, and small, there were some alone weird leafs but they are covered in trichs and smelling very blueish ! It took me around 3 weekd to dry her properly and took me a long time to manicure her almost perfectly which leaves me with a decent amount of little buds
