Root development begins! No nutrients in the tank water itself. Just feed from the top with an organic solution. Fish tank has 4 American Chiclids, 2 Pictus catfish, 2 algae eaters, 2 red tail sharks and a corydora. Their food contains no fish meal, all mealworm flakes, brine shrimp and whole ingredients. Whatever they eat trickles down to my plant. Cannabis is an accumulater plant, absorbing toxic heavy metals so cant be too careful!
Flowering has begun, pistils have formed and calyx's have grown too. Almost no veg cycle at all with this one, but totally different nutrient regimin compared to my other autos which are 6 weeks in and have no pistils at all.
Introducing bloom nutrients to her now, going to do a partial flush on the tank itself. I refill with RO water thats pH adjusted. I only use her nutrient solution for watering from the top a few times a day but not enough to cause significant runoff into the tank .
Pre flowers have appeared! Figured out the yellowing of some of the lower new growth was from a lack of N so I gave my fish a higher protein diet and feed them 3+ times a day. Not trying to manipulate her too much with supplemented nutrients. Probably the last time she gets a foliar spray with nutes. May use neem as needed if an infestation/infection occurs.
Nice "budlets" are forming. Plenty of THC with Amnesia and it definitely shows! Basically letting her ride this out. Not much has changed besides her bud formations and overall size. I switched her light during the dark cycle from a 1000w Apelila to an 1800w Yueume 6x C.O.B. which has a larger light footprint, which pretty much covers the whole area. I continue to 👀 new root growth which is excellent. Had a screen blocking the roots from the fish when they were young and is not really fastened to the tank so I'm leaving the one side that fell alone, as to not disturb the tender roots. "Gunk" on the screen is a mix of fish poop and peat moss which I use in my filter to help keep the ph Down. Super sad.... Phosphorus deficiency is starting to take over. Ive done my best to keep the ph below 7 without hurting the fish by rapid ph change. Also I can only add so much P without hurting them too, last plant was Fruit Punch Auto and grew 4 ft. I added a bloom booster (beasties blooms) that I had left over to see if that helps for when watering from top.
Well Ive been combating this Phosphorus deficiency for the last week or more. Had to tap into synthetic nutes to keep her going. Only using the Beastie Bloomz for watering from above, dont want to hurt my fishy friends. Been using peat moss inside my fish filter to help regulate ph at a lower level. Wouldnt want it to drop much more for the fish's sake so have been adding just plain RO water to the tank itself with a ph of 7.5. Pruned out some unnecessary tags, resulting in noticable flower growth. Probably getting to the "fattening" stage, hard to judge by just number of weeks with autos. This one was planted about 3 weeks after my Dark Devil Autos and Devil Cream sprouted, those still arent showing any flowers yet, while Amnesia here is almost finished. No Superthrive was given to Amnesia at any point in its life at all. The others were dosed up until about 5 weeks in. Have to research what food types for my fish produce more phosphorus or if theres some nitrifying bacteria online, our Wal-Mart no longer carries any so I used microbes I had in small amounts in the tank. Any comments with thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, best of luck to all.
Been slowly removing leaves to allow light to enter flowers nearest the main stem. Still only been watering the basket with nutes and been adding straight RO water to the tank itself. My pH meter had been off by +.5 so that messed things up a little too. Rookie mistake, I bought the meter about a month ago and just calibrated it. No foliar sprays, no need oil, just a fan to keep air circulating. Pistils are almost 50% orange so doing a partial drainage off the tank and straight water from the end of the week and for the remaining week or two ahead.
Well it seems like I have amnesia already with how quickly this one grew and finished, haha. I did a check with the 100x microscope and trichomes are beginning to turn translucent/milky with no amber at all. I noticed this, trimmed up some more fading leaves and got her ready for flush since I had used Beastie Bloomz and Overdrive late in the flowering phase. I need to do some more research on organic alternatives for boosters and be prepared for next time. Usually with a fully organic system there is no need for a flush because of the active rhizosphere and the breakdown of organic substances. I removed the lid containing the net pot, roots and screen that they grew through and had my girl slide a shallow tote underneath. I left an air line/stone with the roots and filled 2 gallons of RO with Clearex which is a commercial flushing agent, mostly composed of citric acid as well as a half of a tsp of Microbes in each gallon. Planning on leaving her like this for a couple days, continuously flushing by the day, pouring from the top of the net pot to fill.
This was a complementary seed from True North Bank and I've never had much interest in the Amnesia lines out there until now. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to purchase these seeds but definitely speaks for the quality Canuk can offer and I would consider trying other strains they have to offer too. Yield was great considering the phosphorus deficiency at the beginning/middle of flower. I'm totally lost with Amnesia! Lol
Also forgot to add that all my bud gets washed in a H202/distilled water after trimming, before drying. This is why some of the pictures of branches hanging look wet.
