This is my second try seedling. At this time, I'm taking it easy on the nutrients, trying to control better my first traveler anxiety.
At this time, the girls are growing better. At this first week, I'm not giving any nutrients. Just bottled water.
Just started feeding them with nutrients, but just a little. Both of them are responding fine, but the "mutant" one seems to be growing faster.
This plant has a mutation which three leaves grows from each node, instead of two. This mutation is called whorled phyllotaxy.
I've increased the nutrients a little bit this week. The girls (I hope) are responding fine, with no signs of overfeeding like my last time. I'll keep increasing the nutrients little by little, watching how the plants reacts.
I started the week topping one of my plants. Two days after, I started the LST on her. This was my first experience applying growing techniques to a plant. And things seems to have worked fine.
In the next day, the plant was already responding to the LST, showing more leaves that can became new colas. I also started the LST on the mutant one! I'm excited about what can happen to them.
There is still any visible sex organ that indicates that they are male or female. But watching the signs, I think that bot of them are girls!
LST is responding well. Everyday I try to rearrange the leaves in a position that the new leaves reach the light directly, I'm also trying to keep them in the same height to all the colas get the same amount of light.
One of the plants start to show little signs of over fertilization. For that reason, I'll alternate the hight nutrintes feeding with a low nutrient mix that I have here.
Day 32 - Removing some unhealthy and light blicked leaves of the bottle of both plants.
Day 36 - I counted 4 white pistils on my Vanilla Kush 1 :) I'm almost sure that this plant is a girl!
Some small white tips is appearing on the leaves of almost every plant in the box. I'm alternating their feeding to see if this is the root of the problems. I also increased 5cm on height of my lamp.
On day 42, one of the plants had symptoms of underwatering. I took 2 days to discovery it. At first, I thought it was wind burn. At second, I tought it was overwatering. Just after analyzing better, I discovered that was underwatering.
For now, I will start to give a bigger amount of water to them, until it starts to drop under the container.
The plant that was underwatered also started to show some white pistils. Yeah! She is a girl! =)
Next week, I will change the lighting schedule and the nutrients of both plants. The other one didn't show her sex yet. But I'm confident that she is a girl!
The overwatering seems to be fixed. Both of them are going fine. Still not changed the light schedule.
The Vanilla Kush that is already flowering is receiving flowering nutrients.
The other one is still in veg. Tomorrow, I will but her under 36hours of darkness to incentive her to start flowering.
This other girl is an auto flowering that is going fine. Just registering her here because I did not make a diary for her.
Change my light to the Viparspectra bloom mode. Today I'll start to decrease the amount of light until it reaches 12/12. One of them is showing large pistils but any white pistils yet. I put this one in darkness for 36 hours, but still no white pistils.
The autoflowerging that I don't know the strain is growing beautiful. Lot of buds starting to appear. She is also growing consistently with large leaves and a good height until now.
This was the week that the plants grew most upwards. One of them, was growing 3-4 cm per day. Since this is one of my first grows, I was amazed about the speed of this growth.
The auto plant is still growing and the buds is getting more hairy each day. The other plants is still showing shy white pistils. Hope next week they really start to flower when the lights will be completed switched to 12/12.
No signs of other problems. I'm happy with this girls! =)
Completed the transition to 12/12 lightning.
The girls keep growing fast: about 20cm the last week. Both of them keep showing more white pistils each day.
One of the Vanilla, after putting her on darknesse for 36 hours, showed two new mutations: a leave with 15 fingers and a natural "topping" tha splitted the top in two. Amazing!
The autoflower stopped growing, and the buds are growing each day more. They are already curling, not pointing up anymore. The pistils are tick and still white.
In sum, all of them seems to be growing fine!
One of the Vanilla Kushes is a hermaphrodite. I removed this plant out of the tent for not get the other pollinated. The other one is appearing buds everywhere. I made the last defoliation to the light reach the lower branches.
The auto one is one her last week of flowering. She is not so big but is much better then my first auto.
The last defoliation seems to be working great. Lower branches are getting now enough light to keep the buds growing.
Probably, the next week I will make the harvest of my auto plant. I'm already flushing her with cold water.
This was the week that I made the harvest of my auto strain. It was my second plant that I grew. I improved a lot from the last plant, but did not reach all the potential from her. The next one, I hope so, will be much better than this one, with a little LST at the beginning. I call this plant my first real teacher! <3
The Vanilla Kush had some leaf symptoms: some yellow dots appeared on the leaves at the top. Still trying to find what is happening to her. But, probably, is a cal-mag deficiency. I stopped feeding her with nutrients and increased the PH from 5.9 to 6.2, to help her get some cal-mag from the soil. Next week, I will feed her with some extra cal-mag solution.
On the other the buds are still growing everywhere. The last defoliation seems to be working fine until now.
Probably, three or four more weeks to the harvest.
The girl is recovering from a mag deficiency symptom, after the use o MagnifiCal and the adjustment of the water's pH to 6.3. The buds are increasing and getting thicker. Probably, 3 more weeks before the harvest. Hope the buds keep getting stronger.
Almost all pistils are already orange and some trichomes are already getting cloudy. But any amber trichome yet. Probably, two more weeks to harvest time. The use of Magnifical and the readjustment of the water's PH to 6.2 solved the problem of mag deficiency that resulted in a lot of yellow/brown spots on my top leaves.
Thing seems to be going fine. Almost every trichome is cloudy, so for the next two weeks, I'll be flushing her with just pH water, till the end. Amber trichomes are still not appearing aroung. I'm waiting for them for the next weeks.
