I wanted her to start growing up and this she did, I've had to lower my light slightly. Got too bushy again but this time, i thought I'd give the branches under the canopy an opportunity to reach out, so I cleaned up every top leaves blocking their light. Even that got bushy again and the leaves are almost hiding them again. I think I'm on schedule to flip her at the end of week 8. So far so good, the plant is looking good.
I'm sure the defoliation will only make her buds bigger. I usually do a final defo on day 20 and never had problems . She has a great structure , like the way you have trained her . Nice work π±
@spacecadet55, thanks for your response mate. I have noticed on this website that most of the non-auto plants starts buffing up starting week 5 as you said. It's just very frustrating to sit there for little more than a week without much progress, can't stop worrying that i made the wrong call. Anyway, hopefully you're right, thanks bud.
@Chad053, they can be stunted a little after a heavy defoliation . It may just mean they need a bit more time in flower. Week 5, 6, 7 they usually swell up for me.
Maybe check your Run Off PH and EC just to check everything is ok and there's lockout issues, just incase .
But it all looks fine to me, white hairs look long, so makes me think they will fill out nicely π
@spacecadet55, Hey matey, I defoliated my plant quite drastically last week. Week 4 of flowering and the buds are not really getting fater. However, the small branches at the bottom are still elongating. It's that normal behaviour or i went to hard on the defo?
Shes looking good to me. A bit leafy but I think that's down to genetics. I have one now that is taking it's time and not fully swelling. But for the light your using bud I think she looks great. If you can get 100g to 150g from one mars ts1000 that's really good going .
@Chad053, sounds great! Have only been growing autos yet because I'm still learning how to grow, but I think I might try photoperiod on my next grow, to have more control
@@Minou, thanks mate, really appreciate the comments. This plant was from a regular seed, so i was lucky it was a female but my next seeds are all feminised photoperiod. I like to be able to flip the plant to flower when i wish to do so πππ
@Chad053, dang, I just finished my first grow about 2 weeks ago, had two plants but it seems I'll only get around 50 grams out of it. I hope your harvest will be better than mine!
Edit: Wanted to ask, is she an Auto or Photo plant?
