Passionate Fruit with a Punch

Well northern lights second grow is coming to an end. I started this humbolt seed org. Passion Fruit Punch photoperiod. She will be getting some outside air and sun until flush and dry is complete. But what is better than sun at 5000 feet above sea level. She will be in the AC before she knows it.

Bought and using 200 micron pint bags to prevent fungus gnats access to the dirt. Last time I over watered and it was a breeding ground. This was transplanted from a 16 ounce solo cup into a 2 gallon pot. I wanted to go strait to a 5 gallon But not enough dirt. Fox farms ocean forest is the one I use. Her visor still set of leaves kinda got dry so I removed.

Week the new tent came in. Now I will have some room to work. I can go extreme veg or I can add additional plants to this room. My solo cup grow will be moving into this room and will take up the back left corner. I have also upgraded to a 5 gallon bucket. We will see the difference between 3 and 5 gallons after this grow. I bought a 400 watt plus HPS for flowering on this grow. I want to see what 55000 lumens produce. Also bought a cool tube for the HPS to remove light heat before it starts. This plant is starting off pretty slow compared to my previous northern lights and the current auto in the armoire.

She is starting to bulk a little and she is recovering from a topping. Trying to LST the side shoots to keep them low. Pulled off first set of leaves on all branches. I got an eleven leaf 🍁 I haven’t seen one of theses in a while. It’s like a lucky 4 leaf clover I guess

I’m not sure how long to veg this on, I’ll just take it by ear week to week. She will be getting a high dose of lumens for this flower 55000 of them. I’ll be switching to a super hps for flower.

Day 36 new light has come in the tent. I have only ever used a 150 watt hps. This will be my first ever 400 super watt hps grow. Looking for fat mugs with this light. Today is the first day of 12/12

Bottom branches are getting strong and fat. Some of the leaves on her are the size of my hand. I’m going for less defoliation because of the new lights ability to penetrate the canopy. I could get a lot of clones but dealing with more than one solo cup would be a pain in the ass. Day 42 I’m screwed on what week I’m on but I’m on day 42 and just switched to flower a week ago. I had a cool tube but some of the light was being blocked so I bought a hood and it works great 👍

She is really bushing up and taking to the new light very well. I have cleaned all the under brush and pull off a few clones. I have never been successful with clones I’ll try one more time.

She is a bulking. I have removed quite a few branches I determined to not be of value. I’m not sure if I should defoliate heavy to get canopy penetration. Looking for advice if you have encountered this before let me know.

Major defoliation this week now we got some light penetration. Looking forward to more bud production. She is now up to drinking a gallon and a half every 2 days.looking good

Strapping her down, she is busting at the seems. Did a major defoliation to get extra light penetration. She is running on a 400 watt hps but this week I brought my led to give extra light from the side. My new tent let’s me turn the plant daily to get all sides evenly.

What I can say is I just did a major defoliation on her and the extra light penetration I think will do wonders. I can also say this bitch is sticky AF and is getting frosted all over. I have doubled the flowering nuits and she still loves it. No problems yet. If you can remember my last grow was fungus fly invasion. Not one this grow. October 12 thru 17 for harvest. If trichomes are right. I successfully got 7 clones from this plant one will be regrown in the armoire and the other just let Mother Nature take care of them. I’ll bring the in on a cold night.

Getting covered in trichomes. Carbon filter is much needed in this grow has a strong odor. I have tied and folded and stretched as much as I can. 3 clones from this plant are now in here with mama. The are on another grow call ed the clones.

Day 92 started flushing with 4 mil of tea blend very light nuits and plain tap water ph 6.3. 5% of hairs turning brown mostly clear trichomes. Will be flushing 2 gallons a day until trichomes are ready.

This is gonna be her last week up. She is 3 days into flush leaves are turning purple. Buds are fattening up rock hard bugs cover in crystals.. carbon filter is needed badly for this plant she is stinky.

Oct 3 was harvest 33.7 ounces wet. I normally divide that by 4 to get my dry weight. I will update actual numbers next week. I subtracted a few ounces of stick weight before I came up with my numbers. When I trimmed her I threw out all fan leaves with no trichomes and only kept sugar leaf 🍃 there was a ton of sugar leaf. I’ll get at least 6 grams of hash if not more. This plant was very frosty. I can’t give any description on taste or smell she is just too wet. I’ll be back to update. Today all buds got reduced to buds and popcorn nugs. 4.8 ounces of big buds and 4 oz of popcorn along with 4.7 grams of presses hash. Wedding cake is the only bud I have seen that is more frosty than this batch.
