Start of another Auto run!! Oasis Genetics - Auto PK CANUK Seeds - Sour Diesel Auto (Did Not Sprout) CANUK Seeds - Cheese Auto Soaked them in water over night and all 3 sank. I decided not to germinate this time and went directly into Jiffy pods. I don't consider the germination/seedling stages being part of the vegetation stage. I would like to see Grow Diaries add a section for this but nonetheless I'll add it to vegetation week 1. Well I'm officially into veg week 1 which is usually when I introduce nutrients, and the Sour Diesel from CANUK Seeds did not sprout :( Very disappointing! Both seeds that we have did not germinate and or sprout. First time for everything I guess. The Purple Kush and Cheese are doing much better. They sprouted within 48 hours of being in the Jiffy. Decent growth in the first week of veg. and will be transplanting them out of the solo cups start of next week (Veg week 2). Made a small reservoir of 1ml of each nute in 500ml water ph between 6 - 6.1 and this was giving me a ppm around 450. My tap water is a bit hard and has a ppm of 200. I would then feed 100ml when needed which was pretty much once a day.

Wow auto's grow fast!! Considering my VPD has been way off for early veg they are growing very nice! This week I made a res of 8ml in 5000ml tap water Ph between 6 - 6.1 and feeding 500ml each every other day. I am getting tired of mixing my nutes every feed and now with my res I just scoop and feed. Saves me so much time. I will be transplanting again this coming week as they are growing fast!!

I got busy attending to my other plants and only took one photo of these girls this week. Was a good week for growth and both started to show signs of pre flower white hairs 😎 My VPD has been higher than I'd like at this stage of life but both plants are still healthy and growing strong and I do enjoy the smell of vegging plants I am no longer mixing each individual plants food at every feeding. My reservoir is working like a dream! This week I mixed 9ml of all 4 veg nutrients in 5000ml of tap water ph between 6 - 6.1 giving me a PPM of 720. I then used this to feed throughout the week, gradually giving each plant more. Lift and feed technique is all I use to determine when to feed.

Training week! The only training I do with Auto's is LST and defoliate. I like to remove everything from about 1/2 to 2/3 down as I have found this just produces larf and by removing them it will allow for bigger cola production. Really liking the look of the Cheese and I can already tell she is going to be a beast. So far I am really enjoying CANUK Seeds minus the Auto Sour Diesel not germinating. The Purple Kush is not a happy camper with the high temps and low humidity (wrong VPD).... I am growing in 3G for the first time too which means less water / moisture resulting in lower humidity. By the end of the week the Rh was right around 55 - 56% once I was feeding 2500+ml each. This week's reservoir was the last vegging feed. 21ml in 10000ml of tap water ph between 6 - 6.1 giving me a PPM of 802

Seeing lots of white hairs so calling this the start of flower week 1. Cheese is going to be a beast!! Wont be very tall but I find with Canuk seeds is they don't stretch much with LST. Very bushy and had to keep up with tucking leaves and trimming. Purple is being the same as the last 3... not very eye appealing and does not like defoliating. The purple color is nice to look at tho. She was in flower earlier but waited a little to long to give flower nutes but not to concerned over it as I'm not a big fan of this particular strain/breeder. This week's res was 84ml each nutrient in 40L of tap water which I then Ph to 6 - 6.1 and PPM came to 988. Feeding was every day at 2500ml each PPM 800.

Late update this week but it was another great week!! Purple is doing its thing and turning very dark purple 😎 she is stretched alot more than the cheese but that was expected from the last grows. Cheese is really beginning to bud and is starting to smell a little like cottage cheese haha 😄 This week I was feeding around 1130ppm and notice a few things... both were experiencing slight nute burn and purple was starting to downward claw which is a sign of N tox so I decided at weeks end to start doing a Nute, water, water feed. I also only use 2500ml of my res and add another 1000ml of tap water then ph to 6 - 6.1 and ppm is around 820. The results will show in next weeks update. **I'm learning a ton!! I have come to the conclusion that the purple kush is a tricky plant grow and may not just be poor genetics but poor phenotype for my setup?!

It started off looking like a good week and then things turned and I was having major issues starting to show near the end of the week!! I could tell that lowering the PPM was a good thing and was showing some signs of improvement. Things were not as crispy and I was keeping up with the Nute, Water, Water feed with lowered PPM to around 840 on the Nute feeding days. They were drinking lots this week every other day I was watering/feeding. But near the end of the week things started to turn for the worse. The Purple Kush fan leaves were starting to turn yellow and the Cheese was starting to get crispy again. Pretty much all smells were gone at this point and the plants were just not looking alive and healthy. I was removing lots of burnt/crisp fan leaves cause they were not looking good. I decided at this point to raise my lights as high as they could go and hope that my issues were caused by the lights being to close.

This was a tough mental week for me as a new grower. I was having issues all over the place. The burning got worse and all growth pretty much stopped. Literally no smell and no signs of frosty trichomes. The Purples fan leaves are totally yellow almost no green but its not burning like the cheese so my guess is lack of CalMeg. I lowered my PPM even more to around 740 hoping that would stop the burrning on the Cheese but unfortunately that didn't solve the problem and it got worse mid week. After a day of studying photosynthesis and how plants absorb light I came to the conclusion that my environment is way to hot. Now I dont own the house I'm living/growing in so I have some requirements I have to follow in order to grow. This made this week very tough on me and I was very close to giving up on growing. My setup prevents me from getting temps down below 28°C when my lights are on. So after more research and noticed that almost every grower on YouTube dims their lights. I realized that I may have been giving my plants to much light causing to much heat resulting in frying plants with no smell and little to no trichome development. So in the end I came to the decision to dim my lights. I dont have the new SF lights so I have to remove the drivers and use a screw driver to dim the lights which I did in previous weeks but didn't adjust the wattage. I first plugged the light into a power display socket and dimmed each light down to 125W for a total of 250W. This might be lower than the majority would suggest but I only have 2 plants right now and dont have the full 4x4 filled. Next grow I will adjust the lighting throughout each stage. I really wish I had the new SF with the dimmer switch. So the results were outstanding!! Within 2 days of dimming the lights and getting my temps bang on, things were showing huge improvements. No more signs of new bruning and the leaves were not as brittle. The smells were coming back and way stronger than ever before. Trichome development was showing and even a few branches on the Purple Kush were falling over. So happy things are turning around for the better.

Really good week! I am seeing improvement from dimming the lights 😎 and the smells WOW!! Usually I get a week or 2 of decent smell and then nothing for the final 3 weeks or so. Right now the smells are incredibly strong. Smells the house every time I open the tent... I love it!!! I kept up with the Nute, Water, Water feed and ppm on feed days were 950 still ph between 6 -6.1 Purple Kush is almost finished!! About 2 weeks or so and she will be coming down. Cheese still has a ways to go maybe 4 or 5 weeks.

WoW!! The smells that are coming out of my tent are next level.... we are talking straight up berry / cheese like cottage cheese hah interesting combination At this point it is hard to tell what is an old deficiency or new. The burning is almost hard to ignore and I don't want to completely remove all the burnt leaves but I have been removing a handful every other day or so. Buds are looking and feeling really nice.... very very very sticky!!! Even the Purple Kush is getting thicker than the previous ones grown. Getting the lower temps is obviously a good thing even if I'm at 60%ish power with my lights. The Purple Kush is just about done. Another week or 2 and she will be ready. Another week of Nute, Water, Water and then a week or so of flush. The Cheese still has a while to go. I'd say 3-4 weeks. Keeping up with the Nute, Water, Water schedule. All in all things are doing way better since I dimmed the lights. Next grow I will gradually increase the wattage to see what the plants can handle before burning as well as keep an eye on the temps at canopy level. I don't want to exceed 26C.

Another week of waiting!! We have AMBER!! Flower times according to TNSB Purple Kush est. Flower time - 8 weeks Cheese est. Flower time - 8-9 weeks The Purple should be done next week and is only getting water when she is thirsty.... lift the pot technique works great!! Like previous Purple Kush grows I've done she is very popcorn like nugs and might be a little tricky to trim. The Cheese still has a few weeks left. Nice bud structure with the smallest nug being the size of a golf ball.... LOVE IT!! This was the last week for nutrient feeds and was still on a Nute, Water, Water schedule. (950 PPM on nutrient feeds)

I am so ready for this run to be done lol the last few weeks of waiting for trichomes to develope really takes a good amount of patience. I thought forsure the Purple would be done by now but another week or more. Not many pictures this week. I've been focusing on close ups for trichomes. Both are being fed Ph water 6 - 6.1 and I use my tap water which has a ppm of 150 when I feed. I'm feeding about every 2nd day. The Purple Kush sometimes goes 2 days between feeds.

I thought the Purple Kush would be done this week.... some might have pulled it depending on how they like the trichomes to look. The Purple also went 3 days between waterings which I found a little odd The Cheese was getting watered every 2nd day and each were Ph 6 - 6.1 No more nutes for this run and it's easy to see that the Purple Kush is struggling. All the leaves are dying and practically falling off and I didn't see much change in the trichomes. Again not many pictures as I'm just focusing on close ups... I do take all pictures with my Samsung S10 phone and use the food mode

I would like to see Grow Diaries have a section for Drying/Curing.... At the end of this week I put the Purple Kush into 24hrs of Darkness.... Bro Science for the win?!? I hang dry in a tent at 20'C and 53% Rh and typically they hang dry in darkness for about 2 weeks. I would like a section for recording this. i didn't see much change in the trichome development and figured without much green leaf production I decided it was time. The Cheese on the other hand will be another week at minimum. My guess is 2 weeks but I am getting anxious to start my next run so I might just chop earlier. I do see a small amount of amber

It grew like I expected it would with pop corn nugs and this time its definitely the darkest purple. With more stable conditions I would have better results.

I had many challenges this grow but it grew like I expected it would since I grew it before. Easy to train and likes LST. Grew taller than my other auto. I got 116g which is not bad considering the popcorn kernels. It smells straight gas!!! Taste like diesel and berries. Definitely the best tasting of the ones I grew.

Like the Purple Kush I had some issues during early flower but luckily saved them the best I could. It should have finished in 8-9 weeks flower. It packed on size very nicely though and the smells were wildly amazing. I'm curious to the taste since I flushed for 4 weeks ish 1293g wet is not bad but I do hang with big stems and didn't trim before I hung to dry. 185.29g dried trimmed and jarred!! Not to bad of a haul... Its an enjoyable smoke and should only get better the longer its curing. It taste a little funky haha more tropical fruit than cheese. Would totally try growing this one again.
