Week 3 of Fast Buds CC from seed, a little over 2 weeks from seedling. Growing nicely. No smell obviously. But the baby leaves are getting huge and fat (seems to be common with Fast Buds strains). She's starting to put out nodes. I started some LST. Gonna have fun with this one! Thanks again @FastBuds !! 👍
Hello man sorry was away for a while because new flat have many works to do, she look great bro thoose buds looks like delights 😍 i smoked her too and i know she is great one from fastbuds. And happy harvest to you man have a good week!
Looking great Dude. My advice on dry trimming... don’t...
reason I say that is it’s a lot harder to cure the smell of chlorophyl breaking down out of the buds when they are dried with the leaves on. Of course this is debatable. I’ve done it many ways. With fans on/off, dehumidifiers on/off.
I know you’ve dried many plants but il leave the method I use for drying/curing just for you or others to see. Feel free to comment on your methods (a harvest log is available on my fast&vast grow, where you can see the pics of cured bud.)
Best taste smoke I’ve ever gotten is from a mix of 3 things.
Screen dried wet trimmed bud > brown paper bags > Jars
I like it because it’s easy to follow a basic breakdown is 3 days on screen or hanging > 3 days in brown bags > 3 days Jars > ready to smoke...
1.) Start by trimming buds, place on screen or hang individually with dehumidifier and fan on IMPORTANT - DO NOT point fan at buds.
As long as your drying space is indoors in a temperate climate it should sit roughly between 18-22c 65-80F is best. And below 60%RH if it’s higher leave dehumidifier on, once it is below 60%RH turn off leave ocsiclating fan on.
2.) wait till buds feel crispy on outside should take 3 days (in the conditions mentioned above)
3.) Remove larger peices of stems that have no purpose (don’t have buds attached) place all buds in brown bags and fold top over. Place the bags on your drying screen or hang the bags like you did your buds. (Better not to put them on the floor)
4.) after 12 hours or less they should feel spongey you can leave the bag open or return the buds to screen for a few hours, that’s your call.
5.) after 3 days of curing in the bags. It’s time to put them in Jars. However you are noshould in the long storage process of curing. Just the monitoring stage. You want to wick the moisture out by closing the Jar for few hours then opening for a few hours. So on so forth for 3 days. I do 6 hours if I can. I use the weekend. Open 6 hours closed 6 hours.
6.) once you have followed this process you should be at 9 days by this point the RH in the Jar should be below 70% which means as long as you’re opening the Jar for at least 10 mins every day 1-2 times you run no risk of Mold AT ALL.
I’m not a professional but I care deeply that I get the best possible tast/smell/effect from my meds. Hope this helps anyone interested in a simple method on how to acheive this. Once again beautiful grow DUDE!!✌️🏻
@PharmaZ, That’s awesome advice! Thank you very much!!! Going to try these steps with my next harvest. Dry trim was kind of a necessity this time. I was unable to spend the time to trim when i cut her down. Came out ok. I’ll post a harvest update soon.
