I don't really feel like nutrient discussion is that helpful so i'm gonna leave it out for now. I'm following general guidelines of no nutrients in ffof until week 4. I've added a little calmag, grow big, and big bloom at about 1/5 concentration on Day 22 and LSTd the big lemon pie and the Tangie since they seemed actually possible to LST. The others don't have the branches for it yet.
Left for 5 days and got back to see that the girls have exploded into flower for the most part. Some signs of nutrient burn on all the new growth, so I guess today I'll flush the pots out at least a little, then resume nutrients at 1/4th strength in like a week. One thing I have yet to figure out is an auto schedule for fox farm trio. I was thinking that i'd basically switch to only tiger bloom in like a week. I don't know, whatever, they seem to be doing well anyway.
I got a pretty low wattage blurple LED panel from a friend who bought it a while ago for like $200. Oh how times have changed; pretty sure this one is realistically worth about $10-15 new based upon the wattage only. I'm going to hang it but leave it off for the remainder of the grow and let the cxp420 do its thing. I bought some additional cheap linear blurple lighting for flowering next grow to go along with my friends panel. Wish i had the $$$ for some side lighting cobs!
I did a 1/4th feeding following the transition period of the ff trio guide. The girls seem to be ok with it. I think the big lemon pie is kinda pissed off and root bound or something because she is in droop mode with and without water. the tangie has lost its mind and is flowering hard. the small lp and ph are doing well, with a nice looking main forming on the ph. the cheese runt is runting.
Don't really think there's anything to be too concerned about other than the droopy lp, but i'm not transplanting it, so it'll have to do for now.
otherwise... no idea. first time. things seem relatively good and the smells and buds are very nice.
Tangie is getting fat now and is super frosty. Added blurples because why not. Lowered nutes slightly because i thought they got a little burn last time.
Coming along. Tangie is still ahead of the others but the runt is gaining quickly. Purple Haze looking great. Lemon Pies taking their time but are huge too.
seems to be some nute burn or calmag issues on the 5g lemon pie. Will try flushing all plants with straight tap water to see if that helps. If it doesn't improve I will water with a big dose of calmag. Otherwise things are looking good. Tangie pistils are shriveling. Maybe 50% white left. No visible amber. Bought a usb microscope because i can't really hold the loupe steady enough.
Heavy yellowing on all the ladies except the runt. I think I screwed up the nutrients a little earlier on and caused some lock out and other issues. Tangie seems about ready so she will be harvested any day now even though I don't see much amber except on the sugar leaves and in the cracks. Still, too much yellowing now. The 5g lemon pie is really messed up sadly. Not sure how she's gonna make it another week with losing many fan leaves and sugar leaves to burnt yellowing lock out. I might give them a little bit of nutes to get them all the way through because they don't seem done yet compared to the Tangie (which looks like pics on the web, and trichomes seem to be cloudy).
