This is my first grow ever. I’ve done some outdoor non-canbabis gardening, but I’ve never grown anything inside, or grown cannabis before. I spent about two months reading everything I could get my hands on, and watching videos about growing.
I wanted to concentrate on the plants, rather than nutrients, so I decided to go the super soil route. I used a 50/50 mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Coco Loco, along with Kindsoil in the bottom 1/3 of the fabric pot. In future grows, I'm sure I will use nutes instead of super soil, but this being my first grow, I wanted to experience the plants and not stress out about if I was over or underfeeding. I am planning on doing some LST, but wee will see what happens.
I sawed up an old pallet to 3x3 to use as a riser to keep the pot off the ground. This left plenty of room for fans, etc..
I used plain old apple cider vinegar to lower the ph of my dechlorinated tap water. A little goes a long way.
I germinated the seed in a rapid rooter, which I placed directly in the final pot.
I added Great White to get some beneficial fungi and bacteria in the soil.
This seed took 4 days to pop through the top of the soil level, and seems to be going strong.
I am growing this with three other plants: Fastbud's Girl Scout Cookies, Glue Auto, and Wedding Cheesecake.
I watered about 1/3 to 1/2 cup a day around the plant, and another cup around the edge of the pot to help keep humidity up.
NOTE: as I said this is my first grow, so I expected to make a few mistakes. The first was accidentally plugging my fan into the timer instead of the lights. I discovered this on day 7. I doubt it affected anything.
Also used in tent:
AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S6, Quiet 6” Inline Duct Fan
G HYDRO 6 Inch Air Carbon Filter
2 - Honeywell HT-900 TurboForce Air Circulator Fan
Comfort Zone CZ6C 6-inch Quiet Portable Indoor 2-Speed Desk Fan
Heater with Adjustable Thermostat (Didn’t use the heater...just the fan)
Day 7-9: I continued with 1/3 cup of water per day.
Day 10: I did a deeper water with 2 cups around the plant.
Day 11: no water needed.
Day 12: 2 cups of water. I am worrying about heat a bit. Although I spiked at only 82F, I am still keeping a close eye on the temperature.
Day 13: Added another cup (250ml) of water as she seemed to dry out. Perhaps because she is very close to two of the fans. Growing strong. Thinking about some LST and maybe light defoliation during week 3.
Day 14: Looking good. No water needed.
This week has been pretty straightforward. Watering was mostly every other day, and all seems good with this grow. I continued to add a little Great White in the water to encourage root growth. I'll be doing some LST in a couple days.
This will be a fun week. Planning on doing some LST.
Day 15: 500 ml of water. Looking good. LST and light defoliation. I was pretty nervous at first, but found if I went slow, she was as pretty mailable.
Day 16: A little more LST and leaf tucking. She is looking great! No water today. Good growth, and she seems to be responding well to the LST.
Day 17. I added some homemade calmag today made with crushed egg shells and white vinegar at equal parts. I learned that trick by watching Bill Ward on YouTube. I added two teaspoons per gal along with 1 teaspoon per gallon of epsom salt. I added some worm tea concentrate, Great White, and one tablespoon/gallon of molasses to the water as well. Watered 500 ml.
Day 18. No water. A little more tucking.
Day 19. 750 ml of water. More leaf tucking.
Day 20. No water today. She does seem to be drinking more, but I'm going to hold off for at least another day. Leaf tucking continued, despite a warning in the back of my mind that I was messing with her too frequently. Time will tell.
Day 21. 750 ml water. I'm going to let her grow out a few days before thinking about anymore LST or defoliation. I did, however, tuck a few leafs.
This has been an exciting week for me. I find myself constantly drawn to the tent to see how the girls are doing. I enjoyed the LST and tucking, although I wonder if I started it too early. Time will tell.
This should be a great week. I want to get in some more defoliation and leaf tucking this week
Day 22. No water today. It seems like she shot up an inch last night. I did a little more leaf tucking and defoliation to let some of the lower growth get light.
Day 23. No water today. I continued training And tucking to spread her out more before flower.
Day 24. No water today. I continued tucking leafs and widening the canopy. I started some tea made with 3 tsp/gal of Nature’s Living Soil and 1 tsp/gal of molasses. Hope she likes it!
Day 25. Today I gave her 750 mL of the compost tea made with natures living soil. I did this, despite the fact that I noticed what could possibly be nutrient burn on the tip of one leaf. I am assuming she just hit the super soil and will be fine in a day or two. Cross your fingers.
Day 26. No water. She looks to be responding well to the compost tea. Did a little more tucking with tent stakes and light defoliation.
Day 27. No water. I did some light defoliation. I think I’m just going to sit back for a couple days. Only leaf tucking and light LST is in her future for the next few days.
Day 28. 750ml of compost tea today.
This was a fun week. I enjoyed the training and watching how to plant developed. I was a little concerned that I was overwatering, and I’m still concerned a bit. I’ll try not to be so eager to water in the future.
Am I crazy for using too many tent stakes? Only time will tell I guess. All I know is I’m having fun! I’m hoping she shoots up some this week. My plans are to continue leaf tucking and trying to fill out the pot.
Day 29. No water. I spread her out a bit more and did some leaf tucking with tent stakes ween needed. She’s looking good.
Day 30. No water. She looks good. I continued the leaf tucking. I don’t know if I’m overdoing it, but I do know I like it. It’s relaxing. I also spread her out just a bit. Nothing big. Slow and steady.
Day 31. No water I think I had my light too low. Raised it to 20 inches.
Day 32. 500mL of compost tea. She looks better after raising the lights. Boob mistake that I hope I don’t repeat.
Day 33. No water. Good growth today. Much better.
Day 34. 750 mL water. Removed a few leafs to open her up a bit.
Day 35. No water. I did a little leaf tucking, but other than that, I just let her grow.
Day 36. 750 mL of water. I did a little more LST and leaf tucking.
Day 37. I did a little more LST. Just spreading her out before flower.
Day 38. No water.
Day 39. No water.
Day 40. No water.
Day 41. 750 mL of compost tea made with nature’s living soil and molasses. I did some moderate defoliation on the canopy and cleared out a few lower leafs that weren’t getting light.
Day 42. Just watching her grow.
This week seem to go OK, although I’m beginning to second guess myself I’m giving the compost tea. I’m seeing what I think might be nute burn. I’ll keep an eye on it.
Still not blooming.
Day 43. I noticed some burnt tips. Flushed with phed water.
Day 44. Responded well to flush. I also put her under a new light, the Sunraise SW1000.
Day 45 no water
Day 46. 750 mL water.
Day 47. No water light training.
Day 48. 750 mL water. She’s a thirsty girl
Day 49. No water. Light defoliation.
This was a learning week for me. I burnt her a little with the compost tea, but I think she'll be ok. I was so worried I was over watering, I believe I under watered them, but I think I know the signs now. Droopy leaves....water please! She looks good, but isn't going into bloom quite yet. Pretty long time for an auto, I believe.
I’m beginning to think she will never go in to flower. She is pretty though.

Day 51. No water. I did some defoliation and light LST.

Day 53. No water.
Day 54. No water.
Day 55. 1.75 L water.
Day 56. No water.
