Well Holy crap! It actually grew lol I've planted so many seeds I've found in bud over the years and never had one sprout. Time to start my first grow. Topped up solo cup full and moved closer to light and switched grow box to 24hr light schedule. Move over vegetables there's a new girl in town lol. Let her grow for a week and then repotted to a 3 gallow pot with pro mix soil. At the end of the week I bought and started using Optimum two part nutrients. Excited to see how she grows! Man does it grow fast compared to my other plants lol

Growing good, lots of progress each day. Started using Remo CalMag 3 row of nodes grew in this week. Have a 2-2-4grow tent coming in by next week along with a 4" 195cfm inline duct fan and tubing for the tent to have proper air flow. Going to order my grow light next week and hope have it a few weeks before it goes into flower. Was planing to veg for just 4 weeks but growth has been slow with the light I have now and im not in a huge rush so let her get bigger and flip when it's nice and ready.

Got my new 2-2-4 grow tent, was using a homemade grow box made from some blue foam boards and lined with tin foil. So much nicer to have a proper tent/enclosure. Also go my 4" 195cfm incline duct fan with tubing to draw out old hot air from grow tent. So seems to be growing really well and have no issues to report on this week. Have a new grow light on order next week and should be here by the end of next week.

Lots of growth this week! Nearly 2cm a day, compared to only 1cm a day last week. First defoliation of 4 lower sucker leaves, LST stakes on lower 4 branches. Later in week removed 2 more sucker leaves, leaving the top 4 suckers. Added CO2 generator bag into tent. Started using Remo VelvoKelp. Finally got my new grow light, the Spiderfarmer SF-1000, much needed upgrade from the 2 Amazon basic LEDs. Did add in a Full Spectrum 12.5w bulb to supplement the light in the mean time while the grow light came in. Very excited to see how the plant reacts to the better grow light.

Well what a week lol. Noticed brown spots and yellowing of leaves on lower branches, progressively got worse and higher up the plant. Repotted to a bigger 5 gallon fabric smart pot at the end of week prior to flushing plant. Added in some Dutch Treat soil. Finally got my digital pH and TDS meter. As I suspected, high ppm and low pH in the run off. Had to flush plant with 20L of 6.8 pH water over the weekend slowly. Suspected nutrient over feeding (1840ppm) causing low soil pH (5.34pH) and nutrient lockout. Got levels to 6.25pH and 814ppm. Carefully fluffed soil to help dry out faster. Reduced light to 80% to let plant recover over the next few days. Will start with just water at 6.8pH and resume feeding after at 50% depending how things look and ppm runoff readings. Overall the plant looks decent for all things considered and just got the SF-1000 grow light last week. Was just using 2 Amazon basic LEDs before from seed. Dozen or so node sites with new growth, FIM'D last week and now seeing 4 new nodes with new growth on top and FIM'd a few outer nodes on the branches that were ready. Hopefully with better monitoring of feeding and pH levels will be ready to flip to flower in a week or two. I want the plant to develop to good size before flowering. Starting with poor lighting and this week of Nutrient lock out has stunted growth speed, still good size for age, just need to correct lock out and low soil pH

So far things just seem to continue to get worse. Will continue to monitor. Suspecting my flush wasn't fully effective. I flushed it again with another 8L of distilled water with some Flawless Finish to help remove slat buildup. The last 2L I mix in half a tablespoon of organic backstrap molasses. the next day the soil was almost completely dry so she must have been really thirsty or the flush was successful. Will continue to monitor and probably give the next feeding at 25% strength just to ensure it has nutrients in the soil I don't think that could possibly hurt anything and at least it has something than nothing after this whole flushing process this week, top leaves are looking a little yellow so probably needing some Nutrients. Feed 2L of Nutrients mixed at 25% strength. The pot was bone dry after a day. She must have been thirsty, has been really hot and humid the past few days but tent temps are stayed the same mostly. Hope that the flush was successful and it's now just able to drink up what it needs and will stop showing signs of deficiencies. Gave her a haircut, removed some sucker leaves and some small ugly looking ones that were affected from the last week of issues. FIM'd the rest of the outter branch nodes, ones I did last week already split in to two new nodes Have solved my soil pH issue, up from 5.27ph last week to 6.33ph now. And run off of 420ppm now from 1870ppm. Learned I need to be more careful with the feedings and make sure I'm using straight water in-between to prevent salt build up again. Overall the plant has a nice structure to her. Depending how next week goes I may flip into from after next week or the week after if she still needs a little more time. Considering it did grow its first month with only 2 Amazon basic LEDs. I started off slow, also I have a 4ft tall tent so I don't want her getting too tall before I flip into flower

Plant seems to be doing much better, still have some yellowing and brown spots on the top leaves. Going to step up the nutrients to 50% strength to bring up the soil ppm. Trimmed some more leaves and small branches preparing for flower end of next week. Aug 9th th is day 60 since sprout. Top and overall plant seems to slowly getting it's green back, not as lime green/yellow looking as did at the beginning of the week. Started feeding again at full strength nutrients. Mixed in some Hydroton clay balls to help airation in the soil. Other than the top leaves, which I'm hoping upping the Nutrients stops future growth developing that; she's looking good and liking the structure it has. Every branch end was FIM'D and a few last week already are growing nicely. Took off my first cutting and dipped with rooting compound and have in soil now, was just in water for the last 4 days. Will see how it's goes, still alive looking lol

Have the light on only 20hrs a day now, and added a Honeywell fan for better air flow in the tent. This week it's looking a lot better and starting to become less yellow/line green in colour. Started to use a weak nutrient solution as foliar spray. Possibly flip into flower at the end of the week. I would like to have the some of the branches grow a bit bigger before then aswell want the remaining topped branches to develop more. Going to mix in some more perlite to help with soil drainage and airation. She's been drinking a lot of water this week, almost 3L every day. Still wait a day till it feels light. Really looking good and nice and green new growth. Looks like I have my feeding and soil pH issue sorted and it's growing really fast the last few days.

First week of flower, looking good so far in the first few days. Really noticing it stretching out and the tops are popping more now. Very excited to see the whole flowering process. The bloom nutrients when mixed with the kelp and calMag brings it to exactly 6.5pH I used to have to use pH up with the grow and down still for straight water as my tap water is 8.3pH Added in a Friend (Bloody Skunk Auto) for a hydroponic grow but took out a few days later and moved under my desk to give it a 24hr light schedule to help get her going and move back in after a week and leave in there. Plant has been doing fantastic this week, no longer seeing any issues. New growth looks great. She's looking really good. Been watering 4L every two days and feed every 2 waterings. Using CalMag with straight watering feeding. 540ppm (baseline tap water is 298-320ppm) Adjusted second fan to blow better on the very top. Haven't adjusted the lights and let the plant grow to it within 30cm distance as recommended by spiderfarmer. Will start to raise next week as plant grows taller to maintain the distance. No signs of tacoing so just leaving where it is.

Looking fantastic, every day she's looking better and better. Not seeing anymore issues with the leaves. Looks very happy and leaves nice and full and perky. Has been drinking 4L every two days. Typically get about 500-750ml runoff per watering. I've been feeding once a week and just water with CalMag for everyother watering. So basically feed, water, water, feed. Measuring my ppm run off on the water days are showing the plant is eating and typically on the second be day of watering I see the ppm really start to drop, near 1000ppm. My feeding mixture is around 1480ppm with my tap water baseline of 298ppm. Feel like I have a good handle on everything now and learned from my previous mistakes, but that's how you learn She's looking great the past week, looks like buds are starting to grow. See a lighter lime green on all my tops. Did some major defoliation borderline lollipopping there's a few smaller ones I'm keeping you around just to see what happens. Tried to remove as many leaves that were blocking Bud sites or not getting much light or just kind of look stupid lol Very happy with how everything is going. I had a blood skunk auto seed going bud unfortunately some bug decided to eat the entire top of my seedling and killed it. is what it is a little bummed out but I'll definitely have to pick up some of those seeds in the future was a free one I got with my strawberry banana for next round, with some hash passion Gave her another haircut at the of the week to make sure all the tops are getting light and remove all the lower suckers and the largest leaves as big as my hand

Did a good trim/lollipoping yesterday to help get all the bud sides exposed to the light, removed the largest fan leaves and a bunch of small growth lower down. Going to leave it alone for a week or so till it gets really out of control again. Overall she's looking beautiful. Lots of bud sites, should have lots of colas and excited to see how she yields. I do my feedings once a week, or every 3rd watering. She drinks 4L every 2 days and I rotate the pot every day, for even air flow from the fan and light distribution. She definitely has a nicer side, which I call the front (label on the pot forward) this feeding I added some more molasses, 1/2 Tbsp The bud is starting to be more visible in its growth and the smell is getting slightly stronger but overall very mild (I could be use to it lol) and only inside the tent. My vent outside I have a plexiglass sheet making a seal to the window and outside I don't smell anything. If it does get really strong I might get a carbon filter, but for now it's not an issue.

Starting to see lots of flowers coming in. Trimmed off more leaves and going to let it chill out and grow out from here. I also turned the lights to 11hrs on and 13hrs off and next week will drop another hour.

Buds are looking super frosty and starting to fatten up quite a bit. Has a really nice citrusy very slight skunky smell to her. Still drinking 4L every two days. Slowed down to 3 days earlier in the week after a heavy defoliation. It's back to normal now. Week camping over the weekend and she's looking fatter and a lot more frosty looking. Especially out if the tent under natural light you see how cover it is. Very excited and probably another 3-4 weeks until harvest. Need to get a usb microscope soon and flush in the final 2 weeks of the flowering stage

Buds are really fatting up nice and big, very nice smell with fruity notes and slightly citrus smelling. Started seeing some red hairs come in on all the buds this week and the buds are starting to grow into eachother. Next week I'm going to flush the plant and bring the soil ppm below 50ppm

Started out flushing the plant this week with roughly 16L of tap water @340ppm to bring down the soil runoff ppms. I bought 4 gallons (16L) of some distilled water and mixed my flawless finish in those. The runoff after an hour of flushing slowly brought it down to around 240-270ppm. Was aiming to get under 100-50ppm but used enough water it should be flushed sufficiently. What's left should get eaten up in the next week. Definitely much lower than before. My run off in flower was about 2200ppm runoff with Nutrients and I watered with just CalMag the next two waterings, every 2 days 4L. So every week or 3 watering it got Nutrients. Watered with flawless finish one last time on day 111, day 3 of the flush. Week 7 flower day 6 Watered Day 113, run off was down to 150ppm. Buds starting to get a slight purple hue to them. The rest of the week and into next will be watering with straight distilled water at 0ppm. Looking really frosty, hairs are mostly brown and curling and almost ready to harvest.

Thoughts on doing the final 48hrs in darkness with ice before harvest? Read and heard several people say to do that and looking for some feed back before I try in a week or so. Also how much ice. Photo of ice from Google

That’s what I’ve done for awhile now and I’ve had good results i normally just give my last 1-2 watering cycles as ice and then flip the lights out a day or so after my last watering. Good luck :)

(October 10th 2020) Was my first grow and was a good learning experience. Did get me pretty high, everyone who smoked some said they were blasted off it. I personally hated the taste. Dunno if it needed to be flushed more/longer but had a planty taste. After curing for a month the taste got even worse, like I said the seed didn't come from good bid in the first place. Beautiful looking plant and had a very strong fruity smell. Did end up making a lot of BHO with the shake and used most of the bud to make Cannabutter. Made some amazing gingersnaps and mint chocolate chip cookies. Both made me sleep like a log.
