3/8: happy monday everyone, not much done over weekend other then letting the sprouts get some sun on the window ledge and had them in 16oz sized humidity dome/cups with a few holes in. Today they are doing much of the same while the weather outside is relatively nice.
4/8: the sprouts have had a bit of a stretch so to accommodate that i have added mini stakes for support so they dont flop over at this point.
5/8: most of the sprouts have started to have a growth spurt apart from number 6 but im keeping an eye on her and keeping her dome misted. The others are quite happily plodding along for the now.
6/8: The 5 are coming along well gave them a little water to keep the rooters and surrounding soil moist, number 6 unfortunately seems to be wilting away now so number 6 is going to be pulled probably by the end of the week and i will put my efforts into the remaining 5. But for now i will keep her going.
7/8: not much to touch on today, only that #6 is definitely dead, so i will pull her today and focus on the others. Temps of 35Β°c today so just making sure they don't get fried.
8/8: managed to survive yesterdays temps of 35, still fairly hot today so will be much of the same today and tomorrow.
@Thema420, When I get long stems I transplant and bury stem to the infantile leaves. I do it while still tender so the stem can root. Donβt know if right but been doing my tomatoes like that for 40 yrs. Autos donβt like transplant though.
@phlstvns, awesome by all means give it go, i did it on mine for about a week and then took them off to let them to get blown about a bit by the fan so they didnt get too damp. also give the inside of the cup a little mist. Good luck on your grow π±πβ
@phlstvns, to bring up the relative humidity and temp during the early stages as seedlings to help them grow better. Though in reality the domes are only clear 18oz cup with a few holes in ( i macguyvered it as its better for my budget).
