lost power for a few hours while i was out of town over last weekend. i came home to the light on when they should have been off. i just left them on during the plant’s normal night time so they’d get more light rather than less. figure too much light won’t hurt a vegetating plant. i also pruned / defoliated some lower branches and am tying some of the branches of the BCG off to the sides of the pot hoping to better utilize the light and start training a bit better. i think i’ve learned a lot about training for next time, i want to utilize more LST from clone to start it spreading out. i feel like i’m behind on spread and should be ahead if i did more training.
my water is basic af, like 8.6 (uncalibrated, but stil). you can just use vinegar, i’m gonna see what amount it takes to get a whole bottle (4L / 1Gal) down to between 6 and 7
1Tbsp - 5.49. this was way too much, lol. small t time
1tsp - 6.71. this is pretty much right on point.
Winner says it doesn’t matter but I may just keep tossing a tsp into my water, can’t hurt i suppose? unless it does, lol.
checked the water ph of the gallon i made yesterday and it’s still right in line, ~6.5. I saw on my Sohum bag that “For best results use water with pH between 6 and 7.” I checked my soil pH at root level:
Hulk: 8.26
BCG: 7.7
I think that using pH balanced water should get these down to where i’d rather see them, between 6 and 7. Unsure if this will help my issues with nutrient uptake, i think it is, causing a bit of leaf yellowing. I think they’ll be ready for more water tomorrow when I get back from out of town, so i’ll be starting watering with pH corrected water then
