Prototype Cob Bridgelux v8 grow diary by BigDaddyK

BigDaddyK So my prototype cobs are here , bridgelux v8 150 watt , running all off 320 watt driver , approx 50 watts each , with a dimmer ,I have these so I can upgrade if a better driver , the penetration is something else , get yourself a lux meter ( yeah I know par an all ) test an HPS , if it gives you 10,000 lux at 6 feet -👍 . Firstly they run so cool , quite unbelievable, the light doesn't even look very intense , but it is , I have a spectrum king , but it's too focussed in the middle , these are ideal , I just can actually believe these yet , give me a few grows and we can see once and for all , but I will add , these are not cheap . . It's all very exciting , colour is 3500k I thought I would share this with you all - it will be a while before I can start using them as I'm still waiting for some heatsinks from China , this was testing today . BigDaddyK getting bigger still.....the active boost makes the froth on the top of the water - this is a good thing ,as the roots are effectively sitting in a nutrient / air mix - please don't complain about it lol
