So I found the courage to finish defloiating or "schwazzing" the two plants. Already in the few days since removing 80 percent of her big fan leaves I have seen a big increase in flower development. I've never really defoliated this hard before. Will keep you posted but looking great so far
Update... In only a few days the flowers have fattened and the leaves have filled out alot after the defoliation
@grzesiekkuzniak, the roots sit on a slanted tray with a spreader matt and water is pumped over them so they are kind of half in water and half in the air. i also have an air stone in each resevoir to keep things aerated.
@junglistbandelero,i dont know what nft is ..................but if you have roots submerged in water......the level is too high.......................or there is not enough air in water................same thing😣
@grzesiekkuzniak, i dont think that can be an issue in an nft system as its recirculating. i know overwatering soil can give a similar look but im fairly sure i was just overfeeding a bit. pls correct me if im wrong
v. nice i wouldn't bother with an air stone in the reservoir tho if anything you'd want a bubblegen from a cooler air source. otherwise your just raising ph and temperature using a compressor and co2 heavy air. too increase oxygen in water you need too lower the temp of the water. your nft pump should have a built in venturi system anyway too mix in the air to water. kosher kush is nice the "miss usa" sounds a treat
@TILLBILL, thanks for the advice. I'll get rid of the air stones. As I'm using an led my reservoir temps remain pretty low compared to my previous set up so I'm probably fine without it. I'm doing cataract kush next in a living soil as I got some free seeds when I got the kosher. But I'll drop the stones when I go back to nft. Also I'll look into 'miss usa'
