Day 1: Planted approx. 3 day old 1" seedlings into 1/2 gallon pots. Added 1 tsp of mycorrhizal into hole in soil right before adding seedling, which was still in soil plug. Soil still moist, will water tomorrow.
Day 2: Temps were high, added extra room fan and opened vent holes in bottom of tent. Temps have stabalized at aprox. 79F. Adjusted lights to 250W, will flip back to 400W in a week or two.
Day 6: Seedlings seem to be growing slow. Had to manually remove seed off of 1 seedling. Moved lights to 20" above seedlings.
Day 9: Flipped back to 400W, seedlings appeared to be growing slow.
8/7/20 (Day 12): Appears to be burning tips on seedlings. Unsure if its nutrient or light related. I doubt nutrients because I have not been using any so far. I think the 400W was too close, even though I tried the "hand trick". I moved lights all the way up, will continue to monitor seedlings.
8/11/20: First day of week 3, plants appear to still be in seedling stage but growing rapidly. I added 3 tsp (15ml) FF Grow Big, half the recommended amount. From my research, these sativas are allegedly more sensitive to nutrients, so I figured a half dose would be sufficient. I'm still keeping my eyes on the light burn, and it seems the new growth is looking better.
8/15/20: Watered with some FF grow big fertilized water.
8/16/20: Heatwave in the area, tent temps have been 84-88F, been leaving tent door open during day.
Changed lamp to 250W and brought 9 in from flowers. 400W was just too hot in my tent.
8/17: Added about 2in of soil to pot. Looking to transplant into 5 gal in a week or two. Will top at 4th node once 5th node appears.
8/18: Gave plants a small watering, no fert.
8/21: Gave good sized watering w/ small amounts of grow big and big bloom.
8/23: Transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pots. Watered. Added humidifier into tent.
8/24-Plants were put into 5 gal fabric pots yesterday, as well as FIM'd. New humidifier has been set up and running for 2 days now, and as a result the plants look great.
8/26-Watered with 5ml Grow Big and 5ml Big Bloom.
9/3: A little late on the update, been fighting fungus gnats. Didn't water for 8 days, plants didn't look thirsty until today. Added some Bti and watered. Been doing some LST over the last week. Hoping these girls bounce back. Growth has been vigorous the last few days.
9/6: Top dressed some Dr. Earth and did a light watering.
9/8: Installed new lamp, 250W Budget LED 3500k.
9/10: Temps have been perfect with the new lamp. Plants are looking good. Found a cricket a couple days ago in the tent, I can tell he was munching on my leaves. Soil still moist enough to not warrant a watering today.
9/11: Gave plants a good watering. 1gal between the three of them.
9/14- Start of week 8. Noticing deficiency in plants
9/15- Foliar spray of build a soil big 6. Fungus gnat population rebounding. Perhaps they are resistant to Bti.
9/16- Suspect mag deficiency. Possibly PH at root zone too high. Did a small 1gal flush, then added tiger bloom (low nitrogen and had magnesium in it) and did 1 gal water. Will continue to monitor.
9/21: Last day of veg, gave them another foliar spray of magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) 30 min before lights out. When lights come back on it will be the first 12 hour day for the plants.
9/21 (Evening): Lights back on, took plants, and redid their LST to ensure as even a canopy as possible. Lollipopped a little bit, removing suckers and unwanted nodes off the several stems.
I probably shouldn't have defoliated the day I flipped to 12/12, as it might be a lot of stress, but I was a couple of days behind schedule due to being busy. Probably could have vegged for another week to give time to correct some deficiencies/ph problem, but I'm sure they will be fine. There should be plenty of time for them to rebound before preflowers pop up.
9/24: Watered 1g per pot. Runoff ph a little high, next time drop water Ph to 5.8
