Day one of week 7, full water/nutrients change to 45% of the past weeks concentration. For the most part I'm making them run horizontal but not tying back any branches. Light intensity is increased more from last week and I will increase the light more in 4 days. I know most plants can adapt in a few days. The humidity has been up to 61% because I was not here to monitor it. it will be remedied today.
Day 7 week 7, oh shit! Fungus attack. Cannabis Leaf Septoria. I've been studying a course on the Soil Food Web which has occupied my attention almost 100%. Plus a over demanding job (most days were 14 to 15 hours) that I finally had to leave. I totally missed the signs of this infection. I woke up today to a yellow/brown spotted leaf staring me in the face this morning when I opened the grow room door. Looked up the type fungus and what caused the infection and more importantly what can I do to remedy this with the least amount of damage to the grow. I gloved up and sterilized my trim scissors and removed all the infected leafs I could find. Most were low hidden early leafs that I quickly took and discarded them outside in the trash can. After a short break to let my eyes refocus, I found many lightly infected leafs. I removed them. The majority were under the top foliage toward the bottom. I redirected my oscillating fan to give better air movement to the plant on the left that had the majority of the infection. I could only find 3 leafs on the right side plant that had spotting.
@hanandleia, The reason I use plant tape is because there is no pressure points to restrict fluid movement or cause any type of friction on the plant. I grow fruit trees from cuttings I buy from all over the nation and you have to be very gentle with them. Tape is something I have adapted to. Evey video and picture I have seen on LST use pipe cleaners or, like you, electrical wire. The green tape is specifically designed for the purpose of plant support without causing damage to the plant. It is very inexpensive and can be bought almost anywhere. It will stretch with the growth of the plant if the pressure gets to be to much. Amazon has it for $6.90 for 300 feet. I think the Pipe cleaners have there place, but not on the main stock.
@hanandleia, Thank you for your observation. I remember why I went higher. I'm using Reverse Osmosis water, It calls for 1oz/gal.
I didn't start out this way but now I think I'm working on the premise of how many things can I do wrong and still get good results. I just updated the last 4 weeks and am about to do this current week.
The plants have had heat stress during the whole grow. You can see that one is affected more than the other. This week I increased the Micro by over 50% and the Bloom by 10%, I had read that as hot as my water has been most of the nutrients are bound up. I am watching to see if there is any burn.
