Day 2 of week nine. The battle to keep the plants alive against the fungus is a once in the morning and once in the evening trim job. Both are doing well. The biggest thing I've taken away from this is the green crack is very resistant against the fungus. The northern lights is not.
@hanandleia, The reason I use plant tape is because there is no pressure points to restrict fluid movement or cause any type of friction on the plant. I grow fruit trees from cuttings I buy from all over the nation and you have to be very gentle with them. Tape is something I have adapted to. Evey video and picture I have seen on LST use pipe cleaners or, like you, electrical wire. The green tape is specifically designed for the purpose of plant support without causing damage to the plant. It is very inexpensive and can be bought almost anywhere. It will stretch with the growth of the plant if the pressure gets to be to much. Amazon has it for $6.90 for 300 feet. I think the Pipe cleaners have there place, but not on the main stock.
@hanandleia, Thank you for your observation. I remember why I went higher. I'm using Reverse Osmosis water, It calls for 1oz/gal.
I didn't start out this way but now I think I'm working on the premise of how many things can I do wrong and still get good results. I just updated the last 4 weeks and am about to do this current week.
The plants have had heat stress during the whole grow. You can see that one is affected more than the other. This week I increased the Micro by over 50% and the Bloom by 10%, I had read that as hot as my water has been most of the nutrients are bound up. I am watching to see if there is any burn.
