Day 1 from sprout - July 28th
Haven't grown phenos in years. And with the experience I have now. This should be fun! I came across ETHOS through my cousin. Decided to go with early lemon berry.
Germinated with paper towel in a bowl with some drops of rhizotonic in a spray water bottle with pots on a heating pad. Had 1inch tails in 48 hours which is awesome.
I've been watering in coco till runoff the past two grows in seedling stage. But read recently that YOU CAN OVERWATER COCO. when roots aren't developed (seedlings). So I'll be light with the water this run!
August 6 - Day 10
Well so far so good. Misted the soil for almost the first week for watering. Then gave 40ml each at day day 7 and 60ml at day 9. Seemed to be a bit much.
EC - 500-600
Wattage - 75-80
August 17 - Day 21
All goes well here. A bit smaller then I expected them to be at end of week 3. I got Indtroduced to VPD recently with Pulse having a calculator you can download. I was inputting the data wrong my tent was at 0.4kpa not 0.7-0.8 as they recommend🤣. I could not figure out why the graph was telling me to keep temps at 73 at seedling stage lol. All figured out
Week 3 got the humidity and temps back up. Changed the hot humidifier for cold for now since I have no exhaust it will work. With an exhaust the cold one doesn't really do anything
Repotted day 21 morning
Temps - 79-80
Humidity - 65-70
Wattage - 80
August 24 - Day 28
Once again lol slow but steady. Can't see to nail veg stage for the life of me. Still happy with the plants. They look healthy at sooo...added floraflex v1 and V2 this week. Calmag and that's about it.
Been reading about main lining and considering it. Or just top at 4th or 5th node. Any suggestions???
Feeding - 1-1.5 days
Wattage - 100-110 @18"
EC - 550
Temperature - 77
Humidity - 64
August 31 - Day 35
Getting there. Everything is basically the same besides the topping I did on August 29th (Day 33). The girls were on their 7th node going on 8 and I topped 3 down to 5 nodes and 1 to 6. Lost at least 5 days to a week in growth on that. But I didn't feel like they were growing enough daily to top them sooner
Temp - 78
Humidity - 63
Wattage - 110
EC - 600
September 7th - Day 42
Still growing nicely. Not crazy amount of growth week by week but it's okay. This is why I switched to photos vs autos lol.
Topped 3 plants 2x now.
And 1 once this week. Defoliated all 4 plants aswell. Trying to determine if I should top and strip all side branches??? Any opinions
Everything is basically the same as last week. Had a really busy week with work. Totally forgot to take pics and what not.
All plants have been topped twice for a total of 8 mains. I did it more so keep the middle of the plant to not grow too far away from the sides
Growing fine. I just have tendency to get stoned along with a pair of scissors in my hand and go to town on the girls. Still trying to fill the tent which I don't think is fully going to happen
Still deciding if I'm going to out a screen on
Still trying to fill out the tent as much as possible before flip. I think my growth is not as fast as it should be bc I'm always doing something to these girls. Never giving them a chance to heal lol. Between toppings lst and lots of supercropping. They're still very healthy.
Added a scrog on the last day of week 9. Man I should have made one of these a month ago. No more tying down branches one by one. What a difference
Added hygrozyme aswell. Not sitting well in my rez and shooting the ph up. But plants seem to like it
Keep on vegging. Doing well. Not much to say here just trying to fill out the net. Branches have really tight nodes not getting alot of vertical growth but I think it's due to my 5700k veg lights. Just too blue lol
Keep on vegging. Doing well. Flipped to my 3500k to get them to stretch a bit before I flip to 12/12. Almost there. Can't wait to see these girls start flowering. Sometime next week. I just want a little bit more vertical growth. The net is pretty much filled up now
Keep on vegging. Was flipping back and forth from 3500k to 5700k. Couldn't decide bit ended up leaving the 3500k 24/7 at the end of this week. Still plucking leaves and sma nodes almost daily. Hard not to!
Flipped to 12/12 the 5th day into week 6 (Oct 24 - Day 89). I know a LONG VEG. But i think it was due to the fact that I can never leave the girls alone. Always taking leaves off and nodes daily. Can't stress that enough lol
This week the smell and bud sites are starting to show. I had to cut out the hygrozyme as it fouls the reservoir no matter what I do. I hand water it when I remember which isn't often. Bumped the EC to 1000 per feeding still at 5x a day with just Floraflex B1 and B2 with CalMag and Drip Clean. Wattage is at 120. Distance is around 16 to 18". Guna do a MAJOR defoliation early next week
I know people say wait til end of week 3 to defoliate but I was too impatient. Did it a few days early. Never cut basically every fan leaf before lol. But she seemed to take it okay.
Grew another inch or two after that. EC is at about 1000 now still 5x a day. Just feeding a smaller amount. With all the leaves off the ladies are not drinking as much. Temps at 80F with humidity around 65.
Kinda worried the buds are showing lots of cloudy trichromes and on sugar leaves I am seeing amber. Bud Structure and the way they are still taking their feedings are telling me otherwise. So Im guna keep on trucking. My grows flowering times are never what breeder says too, always longer.
Forgot to mention at the start of week 5 I added full tilt by floraflex aswell. Also started watering 8x a day with lights on. One time at lights off. At about 160ml each feeding with about 40-50ml runoff. These small pots are all roots and I feel the high frequency waterings are necessary to keep the runoff EC levels down
Wattage 170
EC 700
Humidity 58
Temp 78
Here we are week 6/7 in this post. Slowly fattening up. I don't think they will swell much more. Sugar leaves are showing signs of amber but actual bud there's still many clear Tris.
Breeder says 8 weeks. My grows tend to go over breeder specs of strain lol. I'd like to push it as far as I can ALOT of the plants bid sites are very small was expecting them to get alot bigger.
December 11 was the end of week 7
3 out of the 4 girls look basically ready. Last day of this week they Started to shoot up new white hairs here and there. And from my experience. That's not a good sign. They're almost ready trichrome wise. Wanna see a bit more amber. I'm assuming it's from my lights being too low and high wattage. 220w at 14". I usually have it at 18". Brought it back to 18". And dropped temps and down to 180w.
Dropped the EC down to 4-500 this week and the last few days before harvest will be getting 250
Plants are almost done. Feeding at 400 EC. Slowly getting them ready for flush. The front right lady seems to be about a week behind but it's okay. Shell get cut last.
Ended up cutting all of the front left plant this week and majority of the back two plants. Guna let the lowers get some light for a few more days. Really noticing all the tiny ass buds. Hopefully I'll make something out of them. First run with a net and I just left way too many branches/bud sites for this size of plants they were. Buds look good though. Flushing last plant and will be cutting in a few days.
Like I said before everything was good besides stuff on my end. Slow growth due to salt build up and the roots being unhealthy. Rez kept acting up and didn't aerate water enough. Left too many branches and nodes for these size plants. But good smoke and good high for sure
