๐Ÿ‘‰Very manageable flower stretch so far. THe queen cola has risen above the rest. The plant was a solid dome of leaves as I started the week. I began pruning the future larf sites, some of the inner shaded leaves, and some of the lowest leaves which were looking tattered or hanging against the pot. I took a small pile each day till day 56. I figured that pruning during the early part of the flower stretch would allow the plant to recover more efficiently. I believe I have done all the pruning needed. I will probably only take selected leaves that are either looking tattered or totally shaded. I believe in leaving all the leaves possible, because they are food factories that provide the energy for growth and development. ๐Ÿ‘‰Been a rainy week all week and the humidity has been as high as 65% and stayed in the 60s inside the tent as well. But the temps stayed 75 in the tent and I have very good air circulation and I exhaust the air outside. ๐Ÿ‘‰The plant is still absorbing lots of fluid and nutrients as the runoff is always lower than the inflow. I gave one H20nly and one low EC fertigation, both followed by full strength fertigation. I am giving more totally volume that I have on my former grow sessions. I didn't start the grow intending to do this, the prescribed inflow target volume is to give enough to get 20% run-off. THis is to be more efficient or frugal. But there is a minimal amount to give everyday when the plant is young, so the media stays balanced and buffered. By giving a larger volume, it seems the media is more stable, and I may be creating a more uniform and effective environment in the pot. The run off EC being lower than the inflow EC shows the plant is taking in the nutrients, I am watching the pH and it is also staying closer to the inflow. I take the run-off and give to my tomato plant and the herbs and peppers I grow in containers on the patio...they are all wonderfully prolific. So while my nutrient solution volume could be said to be unnecessary, the total volume is actually feeding 8 container plants outside, so nothing is being wasted.

I was using coco and getting a little green agae once in a while, treated with h2o2 and it went away. Does your air flow around the pots seem to be sufficient? I'm guessing here, but I had a lot of air flowing around my pots which might have dried the outside up immediately not giving much chance to form algae..?? There was a little green, but mostly the white chalky dust of the dried nutrients that I'd flush out with clean water once in a while. I'd immediately start nutes again after I rinsed. Like I said, just a guess.

@horrifiedonlooker, I do have a floor level oscilating fan that blows on the pots. I get pretty decent circulation around the tent. I have upped the concentration of H2O2. Its already looking better.

Bud_Good, Looks like it's really gaining traction now and overall looks really good. You're doing everything you can for this girl and I'm sure she appreciates it. When I grew my blueberry it was also short, stocky and dense making it difficult to water as well as LST or even HST. The branches got thick quickly and were short. However, it later spread out but the bushiness of all the branches and leaves often got in the way of flowers. I'm curious how yours is going to behave and how you deal with it. My next grow of blueberry I think I'm going to get more aggressive sooner in its growth cycle to try to spread it out more, if that's even possible. The branches were tight to the stalk. It still did fine and put out a lot of buds but I think it's got more potential as the lower ones were smaller. I'm sure this one will reward you later with lots of buds too. Keep up the great work!!

@horrifiedonlooker, Thanks for checking it out and sharing your thoughts. I dont plan on any lst or hst, I will do some lolly pop later for the lower and inner areas which are mega shaded. The structure of this plant right now just as you described your blueberry, compact and dense. Which is perfect and hope it grows some good big buds.

@Weird_Jimmy, I just want to thank you for this very detailed comment, I remembered it was good and I'm going to be utilizing it for my second grow. Cheers! Can't wait to see the yeild on this grow I've followed it from the start!

@BloodSweatBeers, Thanks, I got everything from Walmart, lol! I mix in 2.5 gallon drink dispensing jugs. I use a plant watering jug with a long spout, one 1.5l and one 5l. I use Kitchen shelving racks for the plant stands, white dish pans for the run off (which are designed to work with the racks) and have extras so I can do a quick swap to retrieve the runoff for measuring, then rinse (with an H2O2 solution in a pressurized tank, then wipe dry). I bought a couple dozen white wash clothes and use a fresh one everyday. I put the used ones on a rack to dry. When its time to wash I wash them with bleach. I pour the run-off in a graduated clear bucket to measure volume, pH and EC. I then pour it in a 3L plastic bottle ( I have 5 that fit snug in a metal dish pan, and have a funnel to guide the liquid. When the jugs of run-off are full, I take them to my patio garden and pour into my peppers, herbs, and tomato plants (the plants LOVE it!). I have giant basil plants! LOL! Thanks for the opportunity to over explain...lol! Fueled by My last grow...Cream Auto...๐Ÿ˜Ž

I'd say you've done a wonderful job on these plants! They're big, lush and full of very nice size cones that are stacking up. Anyone who reads your reports can appreciate what you've done and what you're experiencing during this grow. Nice descriptions all around. On my next grow I'll try some of your techniques and can only hope I do as well. I'd be happy with that. Good luck on the harvest and please report how it turns out. They look and sound tasty.

Looking really great. Doesn't look like your trimming is hurting the plant at all and buds are getting light. Should be really good results.

@horrifiedonlooker, Thanks! Its really become a dense dome of leaves. I just started pruning some lower/inner shaded leaves and secondary branches. Its really drinking alot too! its doing the flower stretch nicely, I didnt top it but its hard to distinguish the main cola from the rest of the buds.

I use Kryptonite soil, and never get green algae.... but I use another pox mix for other plants/veg, and I do see a little bit on that soil.... Must be the type of soil causing this....

@Crawlndog, I'm using Coco Coir. It stays moist due to the frequency of the irrigation. Just a byproduct of the methodology. It's not a major concern, just annoying to me.

Hey Bud, it's been a while since I looked around and noticed your new grow. I'm interested in this strain myself. I also noticed your issues with the solution running off when poured too fast. I didn't see all the details, but did you also put in some perlite? That really helped mine for providing air and moisture retention and drainage. I put a lot in my mix of coco. I'm sure it will all work out fine. I wish you well on this grow and hope it works out for you and look forward to your results. I tried an outdoor grow and the rabbits ate my plants the first night. Lesson learned for my backyard. Take care.

@horrifiedonlooker, Happy you checked out my Gorilla Glue. I am using expanded clay pebble in place of per-lite. I normally mix it 2/3 coco 1/3 pebbles. I have had excellent result using it. I was hoping to find out if there is a better mix ratio. I am adjusting the ratio to Coco 10:1. I also lined the bottom with a layer of pebbles. Just after this week 3 entry I added a layer of pebble across the top. This has eliminated the ruts and channeling holes when not adding solution slow enough. Once the roots fill the pot the surface will not rut as easily, and the pebbles will help prevent erosion. Sorry the rabbits ate your weed. Such a treat to grow indoors!
