POISON
Dutch Passion seeds Durban Poison
Week 1
29th July 2020
This is one strain that I have wanted to grow and smoke for a long time now
I only ordered the one seed so I'm pretty happy it germinated 😄
I'm aware that this isn't the real durban poison but a hybridised version to cut down on flowering time etc
nevertheless I'm looking forward to growing it 👍
I will be using the 12/12 from seed lighting cycle which should cut down on the size this plant gets but I will still need to
do lots of topping and training to keep it under control.
Thanks for Reading 👍

😎 Cruising along nicely as are the basil and coriander companion plants
I gave them all a drink of some Worm castings Tea which should be ample to carry the plant
thru her shortened veg time ( Because of the 12/12 from seed light cycle) and I will add some more
once she's flowering.
I'll also need to top her at the 5th node as soon as physically possible because I'm super
concerned that it will stretch too much unless I can do some serious training .
That's it for this weeks update , Cheers for stopping by 👍

Hi all
I can see preflowers so it shouldn't be too long now until she begins to transistion into Flowering.
She's really sucking up the water at the moment as are the coriander and sweet basil plants.
Ive been asked a few times now why I have them in there and why I chose those plants in the first place.
The Coriander and Sweet basil plants both act as natural pest deterrence with mites, aphids and whitefly not liking the smell one bit.
The sweet basil is also said to Increase the essential oil content and improve flavour of the plants grown near it. That may be why it is always grown around Tomatoes too.
I also always have Mint in my Garden or atleast very Close to the plants because it is said to the same thing.
Not to mention it is super handy for me to be able to pick some fresh herbs whenever I need them.
This Durban poison plant has not got any noticeable smell during veg which is a shame to me because all of the really good stories of killer durban involved the plants stinking all thru the entire growth stages. You never know tho, it may still turn out very nice I will just have to wait and see.
That's all I have to report on this week
Cheers for stopping by 👍

BOOM!!
She transitioned into Flowering almost overnight and is well on her way to developing some Buds.
Because i'm heading off for a week on Friday I will Feed her up with plenty of Water and some Monsta Bud
to supply all the Energy she needs.
Finally getting some smell come thru from the new budlets and stem rubs so that's a good sign.
That's about it for this week so I'll leave it at that.
Thankyou for stopping by 👍

Okay so this was the fastest finishing photoperiod variety that I have ever grown!!
I tasted a bud and it has a very spicy and interesting flavour and an instant head high that is enjoyable and moderately long lasting 👍

2nd October 2020
This is the Fastest Finishing photoperiod strain that I have EVER grown!!
Less than 6 weeks and it had completely clouded triches.
I know I could have pushed it for a few more days to get the 15% amber but with Sat dom varieties I do not
like to overdo them and I felt it was time to Harvest.
She produced some very spicy tasting bud that has a nice moderately long Head high that is very enjoyable.
If I get the chance to grow this one again I will for sure!
A big thankyou to you all for reading and liking my Weekly updates and Thanks again for stopping by 👍
@HighRoller909, I dont know about coco mate it might be too hard on the Mj plant? I'd probably have them in a seperate container close to the good plant 😀
@GreenHouseLab, Yeh I havent been able to find any of the real Durban mate
but the Malawi gold Ive got growing atm is supposed to have THCV in it too 👍
@Tweak, To deter mites or other insects mate and apparently Mint or Basil can help with Essential oil production
I grow Legumes in the soil before I use it to help fix the nitrogen
