My 1st Dairy: Gelato seeds from flower

LilMomma I had several extra seeds that had come in some flower that I had picked up at the local dispensary, so I decided to give them a try. I had 6 seeds that were Gelato and 6 that were Amherst Sour Diesel. The six Gelato seeds did look like they were better seeds, but decided to try the AMSD anyway. I had really like both strains so I had held on to the seeds. On 7/25/20 I put all 6 seeds of each kind in some purified water, and then transplanted the seeds to rock wool on 7/26/20. Currently the seeds are sitting in a humid dome under a T5 light for 18 hours a day. The first sprouts popped on 7/29/20. So far 5 of the 6 Gelato have sprouted, and it looks like 1 of the AMSD is trying. After the second set of leaves pop, I will transplant them to their final 3 gallon pot. It is my understanding that Gelato seedlings don't like to be handled much, so I will only transplant once. Day 5 the seedlings are beginning to reach quite a bit. The AMSD seeds have not germinated at all. Never had much hope for them. I took the 5 best Gelato seedlings and transplanted them into 3 gallon fabric pots using Fox Farm Happy Frog soil. Gave each plant 12 ounces of water.

LilMomma It has been one week since the seedlings sprouted. All five plants are doing well. I have been rotating the plants' placement under the light every couple of days while they are young, so that they are getting equal amounts of light. The plant that was on the end was beginning to stretch. Week 2 Day 8: Most of the plants have their second set of leaves visible. Two of the plants are already working on their third. Each plant is thirsty. I have been giving purified water only to each daily. Day 9: Top dressed each container with Roots Organics Terp Tea Grow. Treated water to a pH of 6.3 Day 11: Added Sensi Cal From Advanced Nutrients. pH treated water. Day 13: These plants are looking great. Tomorrow I will begin my second round of nutrients. Since these are seeds from some flower, I’m not really sure how many females I will get. Also, I don’t even know for sure that these are photoperiod plants. I am a little nervous they could end up being autos. Don’t want to stunt their growth by topping them. I am going forward under the assumption that they are photoperiod plants. 🤞🏼

LilMomma After the photos were taken, I topped the five plants. As soon as they begin to recover, I will begin LST.

LilMomma Plants were topped last week. This week I defoliated them and began LST. One of the plants I missed a small bit of the main bud, and it now has several main grow buds. Hoping they bounce back in the next few days so that I can flip to flower next week, if not it will be the next week.

LilMomma Switched to Roots Organics Bloom for the first week of flowering. Defoliants this week as well. Looking good so far.

LilMomma This is the first week that the plants started to show any signs of flowering. Right away I could see that two of the five plants were male. I meowed those two immediately. So, both of my questions were answered this week. The plants are indeed photoperiod plants, and I ended with three female plants that are looking really good so far.

LilMomma These girls are really starting to mature. Buds are growing. They are super sticky, and smell quite a bit. Few more weeks left to go. Very pleased to this point.

LilMomma Still growing. Still looking good. Starting to get some big buds.

LilMomma Buds are starting to put on some weight. Another week of nutrients, then I will start paying attention for trichomes to start getting milky. It should be another week or two. Should be harvesting second week in November I think. We will see.
