In house Genetics-Candy Cane

So I finally get to work with some In House Genetics beans , and I'm going to try and find a keeper, we started with 10 all germed but one looked a bit sorry for itself and as were taking a Darwinian approach that's gone, and we are down to 9, I need 6-8 to make the final dance but can always make up the numbers with some clones if we start to look short. Still not sure how I'm going to run them but no need to decide just yet. The SC23xBN only one of the three sprouted the other two are still sat on a wet tissue idly refusing to throw out a nub , but they were freebies so we will see what we have with the one thats there. just in a little prop tent for the moment, will transplant to larger rock wool cubes shortly before going into some sort of hydro shindig. I presoak the rock wool cubes I submerge them and then wait for the little bubbles to stop, then I let them drain a little overnight, I never squeeze dry because it messes with the structure of the cubes. Usually I would be using 4' cubes and then into the flood and drain system after a couple of weeks , But I have to move house in three weeks this cycle, so I'm not sure how long it will be till they will be in their final home. Never used ones this size , tbh didn't realise quite how massive they would be until they arrived . the cubes were just soaked in a light feed with vitalink plant start, I also like to use a little voodoo juice and some Piranha though very light amounts at this stage. Just hoping I don't f this up, I'm much more comfortable growing from clone , I almost never grow from seed to weed, its been almost 7 years since I had a whole tent with no clones.

Right so stressful week in terms of sorting out the fast approaching move but think everything is sorted and ill be good to go and transport them to their new home in1-2 weeks. So I'm looking for a mum and giving them numbers is boring. , so I've named them after goddesses and other deities, Maia is my star pupil at the moment a good inch bigger than the next tallest and has been the most vigorous from the off, so being named after the goddess of motherhood could be an auspicious omen in my hunt for a keeper. Things should start going properly in the next week or two providing I don't kill them during the move.

I'm Back! The move was stressful AF, but everything went as smoothly as I could have hoped for. For a new house , i wanted an upgrade on my old system, for years I had unsuccessfully tried to find a 1x1m tray that was deeper than 12cm , but apparently they dont exist. so instead I brought two 100x55x15 trays which increases the stated capacity from 100l to 130l ( though you actually get a lot more , I ended up using 180l) and I give you the 'Mischief system 2.0' you will need: 2x garland titan trays 2x flood and drain outlet hubs Rubber tube suitable table 2 x storage boxs at least 40l drill with 16mm bit 2x water pumps 1 x flask of weak lemon drink I'm going to be brief if anyone actually wanted a more detailed guide just let me know. I thought i'd got more pictures of it being put together but must of forgot. Position the trays on the table , using the drill bit make a hole though the tray and marking the table underneath. then drill though the marked area on the table, you will have to widen the hole in the table so the outlet hub can fit though. the Outlet hub screws on to both sides of the hole in the tray , the included seal would probably be fine but I use a little food safe sealant just to be safe. Attach the hose at the other end to a water pump , A basic one does the job just fine. Im running both off one res in the picture but will change to one for each tray when I get down the shops later. You may now drink your flask of week lemon drink and congratulate yourself on a job well done! As for the plants , they suffered a little from being moved in a cardboard box in the boot of my car but they have bounced back well. seem to be at least two phenos coming through with the classic tall and lanky and short and bushy combo, perhaps we will see a few more variations once we enter flower..... which ill be fliping this week. thanks for looking in!
