Purple Kush, is that you? Outdoor/Indoor

PurpleWorship INTRODUCTION : -------------------- This plant will be my 3th plant grown, and my second attempt to find the "Purple Kush" taste I'm looking for. Some years ago, i smoked a "Purple Kush" In Canada, the taste was my favourite of all time. And I'm now searching for the exact same taste. My first attempt was with Blackberry from FastBuds. No "Purple Kush" taste here. It was my first plant ever, started during confinement. I was not abble to get those "Purple Kush" seeds at this time. BUT NOW, I got "Purple Kush" seeds, I really hope I'll find my good old friend here :) GROWING SCHEDULE : -------------------------- Like my first plant, it will spend day outside, and night inside. 11 Hours under the sun, and 8 hours under Led lights. Feeding : following the Biobizz feeding program. I'm reusing soil from previous growth. (20% new soil), so I'll be verry attentive to plants needs. No topping, but LST ! Since I'll start another grow in one month (Sherbet Queen - Royal Queen Seeds), both must fit in my tent, and be at the same height. GERMINATION : ------------------ Seed directly in 16L Smart Pot. First leave after 48h. The plant will be feed with homemade lentils roots juice for the first week.

PurpleWorship Day 8 : One of the first leaves is not correctly shapped. It may be the verry hot and sunny day I had this week. At this point I'm not worried. Let's see how look the 2 next leaves. I'll try to keep the plant inside if I get another heat wave in the next days. Day 12 : The uncorrectly shapped leaf was actually looking weird because she was... a 2 lobe leaf. I already saw that on another plant. I can see that the hot weather is a bit rude for the plant, by looking at the leaf. But temp. will be way better next week. And it's still manageable. (been 30 - 35°C). Luckily my indoor temperature is way cooler, and that give her some rest ^^. Day 13 : The plant stayed indoor all day because the weather was too hot. But clouds appeared on the evening and started to rain ! First rain in more than one month ! I believe rain is always a really good thing during vegetative stage. I always see plants from my garden having a huge groth boost after a rain :) So she spent some hours under the rain :) (22-24°C, 65% humidity)

PurpleWorship Day 15 : First watering with Nuts : Fish-Mix + Bio-Grow. Something like Half a liter. Day 16 : The plant look super happy, with leafs pointing up. Half the day with 30°C and big sun. And suddenly, the rain. PER-FECT. I'm sure rain + fish-mix from yesterday gonna works well together ^^ She went indoor under led for the rest of the day. I will receive Biobizz Bio-heaven next week. I want to try it :) I also got Top Candy from Top Crop. That will be for the flowering. Day 19 : I notice a verry small cal/mag deficiency, showing on a leaf, under the led only. I had to water, so i added 4 little seaweed coccolithes lime beads (for cal/mag), and did another run of feeding with fish-mix and Bio-grow. The plant look verry healty, and is growing verry fast ! Day 19, she look like day 24 from my previous diary (Fastbuds - Blackberry)

PurpleWorship Day 23 : New leaves appearing in the firsts nodes, where branches should appear in some days. Still in advance compared to my first diary (Blackberry Fastbuds). But some leaves are appearing twisted. I believe it could be a cal/mag excess from the little feeding i had last week (seaweed coccolithes lime). But i think the plant will be totally fine. My 2 last watering were using rain water without any nuts. I will start to feed again at the end of the week (50% of recommended dosage). EDIT : I'm not even sure about the excess of cal/mag, since i don't see any burned leaves... Could be the too hot weather !? But definitly something not to worry about at this point in my opinion. Day 24 : UPDATE ABOUT FEEDING : Did a break for a week, but will resume on Day 25. I'll Add Biobizz-Bioheaven + Biobizz-Biobloom + BioBizz-Topmax, at 50% of the recommended value. - Received BioHeaven from BioBizz, and TopCandy from Top Crop. BioHeaven used now, and TopCandy on the end of flowering. - Started my LST. Hooked the plant right after the 3th node. The twisted leaf problem isn't worring me anymore. I believe it's a genetic thing (remember the 2 lobe leaf at first node) , or the hot weather i have (still arround 30°C in the day). Day 25 : Ouch ! I just realized that BioGrow + Fishmix is maybe too much feeding at the same time. The biobizz feeding program recommend using fishmix in early stage, and biogrow later. I did it only once, so I'm ok :) I believe you can use both product at same time, just share the % like if it was the same product. Day 27 : First stereoscopic 3D attempt. Unfortunately, Growdiaries don't accept animated GIF.... : https://imgur.com/a/qYEeMcl It's not verry effective, but I will improve myself. I would made great ones with the new diary I'm going to start this week ^^

PurpleWorship Week update : I'm adding Bio-Grow to the feeding. I will slowly switch from fish-mix to bio-grow during the flowering. I'll probably stop Fishmix in one or two weeks. I also switched from 19 of light to 18. I saw her leaves going down before the end of her day, meaning she had enough. I must say that there is no cloud to hide the sun, the weather is verry hot and dry... Most of my garden plants are suffering. She's doing better now, and it's almost the end of the hot days. Last of week of heavy temp. i believe. Day 30 : Reajusting the LST. I'm going slow on this, not asking too much, since she is a bit small, wanted to avoid stoning her.

PurpleWorship Day 39 : She look good, she have a verry pleasant smell... Which might be the one :D But let's wait and see ^^ The bad thing is that she is still small, and haven't stretched. I'm verry concerned about this. I'm thinking it's because of LST, and this might not be a great technique for that strain. The time will answer to this question. And look at those colors! She is sooooo dark ! That's a verry beautiful strain. Day 41 : Found some aphids on the bottom leaves (node 2). Killed them all. Situation under control, but I'll have meticulous check in the next days. Day 42 : Bug free ^^

PurpleWorship Day 47 : I'm reviewing every leaf everyday to remove any bugs. I find some aphids, but like 1 or 2, each 2 days... So totally under control. And they only go to the verry bottom leaves. It's totally fine. I added some shallot on the top of the dirt, as repellent. The plant is definitly verry small. She haven't stretched, and I'm pretty sure it's because of LST. She was verry fast to get into flowering, this will be a verry quick strain. The yeld will be low, but the smell... Is soooooooo amazing....... It may be the PK I was looking for, and I'm super excited about it. So if on the end, she have the taste I'm looking for, I'll do a second run with 2-3 plants, and will just let her grow the way she want ^^

PurpleWorship Day 52 : The harvest is soon. Maybe next week. The plant suffered from LST, as she went to flowering verry quickly. And i got another issue later on : I left the plant under the rain for too long, and got the soil too much watered. This may have created a PH issue. All this slowered the plant expansion. I'll know it for the next time. This plant is verry quick, and LST isn't a great option at all. Beside this, she smell amazing. This will be a verry small harvest, but still good quality ^^ Day 53 : I received my PH tester. The PH is at something like 6.8 - 6.5... So no PH issue. I'm sure now that the only problem was LST a bit too late, and the flowering starting verry early. Day 55 : Did a bit of defoliation by removing dying leaves, and let the light get to the bottom buds. Those ones are growing a lot of pistils il the last days, so this will be a good help to make it biggers ^^ I also noticed some leaves tips being lightely burned. Probably because of the last feeding. I'll use only Top-max and top-candy on the next feeding. I believe feeding at 100% of the recommend doses is a mistake when the plant is that small.

PurpleWorship This grow was a fail, regarding quantities. I did mistake with watering and LST. Got like 10-15gr. At this point, regarding taste, I believe it's not the right one, it remember me the Blackberry from Fastbuds. She doesn't have the sweet grape / floral taste i looking for. Another one is on the way, just to be sure. Will see.
