I keep reading that autoflowers are about 8-10 weeks until harvest. I am almost at 6 weeks—- does this seem right. First full week of flower—-correct progress being made? These are very short plants at about 24 inches
Seems right to me. It will probably be closer to 12 weeks. The seed companies advertise them to harvest earlier than in reality. Your buds will start fattening soon. I assume you already had your 7-10 days of really fast growth? Once this stretch phase is over, switch to bloom nutes. They look good. 24" is pretty normal, it will probably add 4-5" before its done.
She seems to be doing alright! Clear trics, and the buds are turning purple!!! Excited to see this as VIP seeds calls Purple Kush Auto Flower— Taison. Maybe another 2-3 weeks!!!
So she is getting a lot of yellowing on the leaves and drinking significantly less water. I’m thinking the crop will be next week. Only issue is that there are very few Amber trichromes and almost all cloudy. Think I may start my first ever harvest—- tried the flush, but she ain’t drinking
So here are the final photos of her alive. She has about 10% amber Trichomes, 80% milky, and 10% clear. She was flushed for the week and put in darkness for 40 hours. I did some defoliation of the yellowing leaves for her last photo shoot. The purple kush is really shining through. She responded very well to LST—- hence the even canopy and big cola nug and side branch nug being similar.
Harvest report in about 2 weeks after drying and curing.

Taison—-aka purple kush auto was part of my covid project! I bought 9 strains for my first ever cannabis harvest! She was one of my two to finish within 79 days!
She took all my newbie mistakes and still powered through. She took LST like a champ and had a very nice even canopy and two big but colas. I am going to grow this strain again! I know I could get at least twice the yield doing her right!
After 9 days drying—- she has a spicy earthy flavor. Smooth, but with a bite. Needs the final cure, but very satisfied!
