Watered it with just bottled water, only when dry. Took too long to get it under powerful light, as it's a little leggy. Tent is running hot at 29c, trying to work on cooling it down. On 24hrs of light for now. Day 7 she was transplanted to a pre-watered (with pure water) 3 gallon grow bag with 50% vermiculite, 50% peat for soil. Since she was getting a little too tall too soon, was planted deeper so about half of the stem is below the surface.

Watered a 1/2 gallon on day 9 and day 14, when it seemed like it was needed. To simplify things for the first grow, using Miracle-Gro 24-8-16 at 50% recommended concentration, of 1/4 tsp per gallon. The grow seemed to be going pretty slow until about day 11/12. Ever since then she's almost been doubling in size daily. For water, currently have to use tap, whose stats are: - 181 ppm - 385 uS/cm - 7.59 pH When the nutrients are added, the pH drops to 7. Just got some pH down, and will try to get the water pH to 6.5. Did some testing of the vermiculite/peat 50/50 soil I'm using as well: - pH is between 6.5 and 7.0 - Nitrogen is very low/low - Phosphorus is low/medium - Potassium is low/medium Next week I will probably start watering more regularly every 2-3 days or so. I will probably start LST towards the end of next week. This is my first grow so let me know if you have any comments or see anything I don't see.

Watered with Nutrients 1/2 gal every other day on Day 15, 17, 19, and 21. Watered on day 19 specifically for LST on Day 20 to soften it up. She was fairly resistant to the LST so I didn't crank down too hard. Added additional tension on Day 21. Any thoughts on how to improve the LST or whether to trim any of the leaves?

Watered 1/2 gal of water with nutrients every other day. Removed 3 fan leaves on Day 24 because they were blocking significant light to the lower branches. It made me nervous to do it, as it was my first time defoliating her, but as you can see she bounced back nicely. I think she started growing faster once I defoliated. I added to the LST on Day 27, I've started turning the main stem in a clockwise direction around the rim of the pot. I will probably do a little more LST and remove 1 or 2 more fan leaves next week.

After some iffy-ness last week, she has definitely entered the flowering stage this week. The smell is getting stronger, but is still fairly weak. Gave her 1/2 gal of the nutrient solution every other day. Might start increasing that soon. Defoliated again on day 34, only removing 1 large fan leaf, and a few smaller leaves near the base that were starting to die. Did some additional LST on Day 35, bending down one of the side branches. I was trying to find a way to bend down the main branch/cola somehow, but I don't think the fabric pot has enough height or strength to handle it. For the main branch, at least, there's probably no more LST I can do with the current set up.

This week was fairly light on tasks, as the LST is done for now and there wasn't any defoliation to do. Watered with nutrient solution Day 36 and 38 before I noticed some burning on the tips of some of the leaves. I'll add more pictures in a grow question, but from the research I've done it looks like some sort of nutrient burn. Because of this, I watered day 40 and 42 with distilled water. I'm not sure if that solved the problem or not, it seems like it has stopped progressing (or has slowed down), but the parts that were already burned are looking worse by the day (probably due to those parts being dead). Hopefully I'm able to stop the progression.

The tips of some of the leaves have begun to dry, curl, and look to be dying (see pics). I think it's some sort of nutrient burn, but I'm unsure. I water every other day w/ a solution of Miracle-Gro 24-8-16 at 50% recommended concentration. Used distilled H2O last 2 waterings.

As you can see in the pictures, I was dealing with a nutrient burn issue, due to previously using what I learned to be substandard nutrients. I flushed her for about a week, watering with 1/2 gal distilled water on Day 43, Day 45, and Day 47. To improve the nutrients, I've started using Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect Sensi Grow Part A & B. I'm following a very slightly modified "TaNgs EASY Auto Feeding Schedule" and fed the plant with this new nutrient solution for the first time on Day 49. On Day 47, after flushing for about a week, and seeing that the necrosis had stopped progressing, I defoliated the plant. For this I tried to trim off as much of the dead part of the leaves as possible, to try to preserve as many whole leaves as I could. I also removed some fan leaves that were low on the plant and weren't going to thrive. Two days since this defoliation, the burn hasn't spread, and the plant seems to be handling it well. We'll see how she handles the new nutrients. Hopefully I can get her back on track, and prevent any additional issues.

Nothing too dramatic this week, mostly working on helping her heal from the nutrient burn from 2 weeks ago. Watered every other day and alternated between nutrients and distilled water. I feel like she's getting nearer to harvest, but she's not growing as fast as she was pre-nutrient burn. Maybe she'll fatten up/get taller over the next few weeks. I've posted a picture of the main cola to see what the hive mind here thinks about how long there might be to go.

Just watching her grow at this point, trying to prevent any catastrophes, and trying to estimate how much longer until harvest. She hasn't grown much in height, but the buds are becoming more pronounced and defined (as you can see in the pictures). She's also started smelling pretty strongly, get blasted with scent whenever I open the cabinet door. I've put an ona block on top of the cabinet just to maintain any odors that may be leaking out. One issue I'm having is that I think I'm battling a bit of a calcium deficiency, as can be seen in the leaves. I think this is from the 2-week flush I did following the nutrient burn before. I'm alternating feeding with every other watering, and am keeping track of it. So far it only seems to be affecting leaves lower on the plant and not the ones on the buds, so at least that's good. Hoping I can keep her healthy enough over the next few weeks to make it to a successful harvest.

Watered and fed nutrients on alternating days. Adding in AN Overdrive and Carboload following a modified TaNgs Easy Auto Feeding Schedule. She seems to be coming along, but very slowly, and while keeping a short stature. She hasn't added much height for a few weeks.

Alternating between watering and feeding each day. Not much growth height-wise, but the buds seem to be fattening up. Through a jeweler's loupe, I took the images of the trichomes on the main cola. There's a few amber trichomes already, but on the other colas (not pictured) they're mostly clear. I don't have the room to do a partial harvest, so what's the hive-mind's opinion here about how much longer to harvest?

very nice your doing the right thing your looking at your trichomes they are cloudy or milky right now, give your plant a week, keep checking those tris though cause what you what is an amber color in side those little balloons, right now your harvest will give you more an up type high, the thc will be peaking when you see almost half amber tris. congrats on the soon to be harvest these look very tasty

Watered every day, only fed nutrients once this week, on day 81. Trying to do a mini-flush before harvest. Buds fattened up a little bit, but growth has pretty much stopped. Took some pictures of the trichomes, but wasn't able to get as good of pictures as last week. Most trichomes are cloudy, and about 30% are amber. Decided to harvest today (Day 84), even though it might be a bit earlier than desired, waiting until next weekend would probably be too long. Plan to do a dry trim, so only chopped her down today and hung the branches. More on all that excitement next week.

This was my first grow, and GSC was very forgiving and survived me messing up many times along the way. The final product smells and tastes delicious, and packs quite a punch. Very euphoric and uplifting feelings, with a moderate amount of dry mouth.

This was my first grow, so I was happy to get anything to harvest. Ended up with just about a half ounce of some pretty amazing bud. I initially started growing with Miracle-Gro, mainly because I'm dumb, which led to pretty bad nutrient burn and stunted growth around week 4. After some suggestions by the users here at GrowDiaries, I switched to Advanced Nutrients, and followed TaNgs EASY Auto Feeding Schedule that incorporated pH Perfect Sensi Grow Part A &B, Overdrive, and Carboload. My plant bounced back really well after this, but didn't add much growth. This was my first grow, and GSC was very forgiving and survived me messing up many times along the way. The final product smells and tastes delicious, and packs quite a punch. Very euphoric and uplifting feelings, with a moderate amount of dry mouth. I still have a few more of these seeds, so I'll probably be starting another grow in the near future.

your burn leaves is due to nutrient burn. ease up on the synthetic salt based nutrients. either make weaker concentration solution or feed every other watering. I actually feed weekdays and give them a break with plain PH'ed water on weekend

@Concision, aw man that makes me real happy. that's what Its all about (this site I mean). thanx for letting me know. 👍 Now it will start to get exciting with the swelling of the buds, see their structure and get the full terpine profile. I hope you finish strong 💪 I know it's not easy but try to make it a bit cooler for them from this point forward. anything over 28 degrees during flower (especially after the stretch) will start to degrade your levels. literally boiling away precursors needed for potency as well as the terpines. granted some terps are more volatile and sensitive others cantake a bit warmer but 28 max is a good rule of thumb.also your humidity is not too bad, but definetly on the high side of correct parameters. for the last 2 of weeks (when u start to flush) if you can get humidity down to 30% you will be well rewarded. Most people when they start out they don't realize how important temp and humidity are. myself included during my first grows. the plant/ flowers will still be beautiful but when u actually medicate you'll see how it falls short. I call it instagram weed. it's not just about vapour pressure deficit (VPN) affecting the intake of water and nutrientes and it's whole metabolism. for sure that's very important but also the quality of the resin and the levels of cannabinoids in that resin. I understand this is very hard without a dehumidifier but when there is a will, there's a way. Good luck big Homie. LETS GO !! FINISH STRONG 💪 I'll come by every now and again to check up on your work 😉✌️
