After 4 failed seeds, I gave up and just threw a seed in a a starter cube and threw it outside. 5 days later, it popped! Soil medium was Light Warrior seed start.

#5 quickly laid LONG roots resulting in an early transfer so it was moved to its final 7 gal bag. Early yes, but it didn’t stunt her too hard. #6 made a guest appearance and is quickly catching up to #5. Hopefully it’s a Sativa and NOT a male, but we’ll see. #6 was moved as well and didn’t have any issues. Temp in grow room was on the low side, so I added Mylar which helped raise temp by 7 degrees and seems to help with overall humidity. Slowly working up to the recommended feed of 250mL, but these guys are still young.

The plants are oddly tiny for where they are at in the growth process. Midway through the week, they did start having tremendous growth. #6 is growing much faster and is demanding more water. I’m hoping that #5 is using up energy to grow more roots-it’s a full set of leaves ahead, but very short and stocky...I’d guess Indica, but the leaves are much longer and skinnier than #6.

These plants are finally starting to bush out a bit. #6 has started demanding more water which I’ve read is to be expected at this stage. Both plants are at about the same age and growth factor, but #6 is stretching more. We’ve finally got 5 point fan leaves. :D

Making big leaps in growth, finally! I’ll be FIMMING this week also. One thing I’ve noticed is that I’m right on the edge of Nitrogen deficiency. Uprising Grow top dressing along with elemental a couple of days later seemed to address this issue for now. I dusted it on around the base, (away from the sprout!) left it, and watered about 12 hours later. I’ve been kinda skimpy on the water, and letting it run through a bit more has helped with growth. I also measure with the highly scientific method of weighing the pots with my trex arms. I’m scared to overwater, but I think I haven’t been quite liberal enough. Watering more towards the edge of the fabric aids with draining and seems to be encouraging the roots to grow outward, perhaps that’s why we finally have some decent growth!

Both recovering well from overwatering. I held water and nutes for almost a full week. Started back watering slowly at 250 mL per 24hrs. Fungus mites are all but gone as we’ve solved overwatering....but I’ll continue with the yellow sticky cards as a precaution. Plants are starting to smell like MJ, with a herbal undertone. It’s making me salivate. These better be girls! Went ahead and topped #5. I plan on going back and doing this for #6 also as it’s just getting too tall.

Watering is SKANT. They seem to be happy with barely any water. I pulled them both up closer to the light, must have got a crappy one from Amazon. I’m thinking we’re a couple of weeks from switching to flower...so I’ve moved to 19:5 for a few days and soon switching to 18:6. That way we’re not going to shock them too much going to 12:12.

So! I had surgery this week and was on some pain meds when tending the garden. I did NOT have the Midas touch. I was pushing down on the main stalk for some LST...and wanted to get more light to the lower canopy...AND I BROKE OFF ONE SIDE. My topping was for nothing!! I tried to save it as a clone, but it died a few days later. As it was dying, it appeared to try and flower (I think) and looked like a female (I think).

#5 is still recovering from last weeks trauma and hasn’t shown sex yet. #6 must be an autoflower strain, she was READY to go into 12:12.

RIP #5, showed to be a boy. Culled on day 71. Postmortem shows small root structure which could explain slow growth. #6 is growing well and shooting pistols everywhere. I’m going to be looking into lollipoping soon.

She’s filling out quite nicely. She seemed kinda stuck, but immediately swelled after feeding. I tweaked my nutes a bit this week and she seems to like it. I think she’s just really hungry.

Buds are starting to need support. I’ve used garden ties and tied everything together in a circle. There’s some decent size buds on a lower node, so I’d like to help the fill out by getting them closer to the light. Lollipop’d the bottom on day 86, after she responded well to the garden ties. day 91 update: is she just making a bunch of small airy buds? Maybe. Probably just needs more time, but I’ve given three months of my life to this child, so I’m switching to a SpiderFarmer LED

One of the main branches got too heavy and snapped. 6 days later, it’s turning darker and looking to finish on a different time frame. Do I still continue to leave it alone? It didn’t completely break off, and I have it supported with sticks, ties and tape.

Hey shift, I would just leave her be, she has performed a high stress train on herself. You should find that the rest of your canopy will even out with the old main or may even take over actually providing more large bids

Stacking nicely. The broken branch counties to be ok...leaves are going purple, it’s probably going to finish out quicker. Have started decreasing daytime temps and noticing it’s helping trichs. Going to start watering with fridge water. Per convos with other growers, looks like borderline N toxicity. Going forward, completely removing “grow” from the recipe...even though the manufacturer suggests it. I’m curious to see if this will make a noticeable difference!

Is it time to start flushing? Im in Roots Organic soil mix.

Hey friend, In my opinion, you don’t need to flush organic soil. They are acting like slow release fertilizer for your plants.By flushing,You only wash away minerals like beneficial bacteria and microorganisms from soil. But in your diary, I think your plant have slightly Nitorgen toxicity ( dark green and clawing leaves )due to improper soil pH or excess use of vegetative nutrient. You should adjust your water pH around 6.5 whenever you water.Happy Growing... ✌️

Ug, still working through N toxicity, don’t know what else I can do at this late stage. Buds are okay though. Still shooting out white pistols, trichs are finally mushrooming and buds are stacked. She’s close! Midweek, calyxes started noticeably swelling.

She’s got a coffee smell...and call me crazy, but as more and more heads are forming, the smells has gone down. Leaves are starting to change colors ( outside of the N tox issue) No more nutes, just letting her pull from the soil. Watering to run off every other day to try and mitigate nitrogen.
