11th week of the Occult Magnetic Experiment - 7th week of flowering - this is the last week for this Occult Magnetic Experiment and this 3 plants.
Purpose of this small scale experiment is to elucidate the effects of axial neodymium magnets during the germination, vegetative growth and flowering phase of cannabis grown in organic soil in indoor/tent conditions. Magnetic field was reported to affect phenotypic, genotypic, growth characteristics and different functions of the plants like root and shoot growth, germination of seeds, yield parameters, productivity, reproduction, growth of the meristem cells, mRNA quality, chlorophyll contents, enzyme activities, gene expression, protein biosynthesis

Three seeds of Lemon Cream Kush Automatic from @SpliffSeeds were randomly taken from a batch of 5 seeds provided from the same Mother plant by my good friend Marcel. The seeds were initially kept in water for 24h then inserted at same depth in individual water soaked eazy plugs. Over the 1st plug a neodymium magnet oriented South pole facing down was put, over the 2nd one a control plastic ring and over the 3rd eazy plug, a neodymium magnet oriented North pole facing up.
=================================================================================================
The seed with the North pole sprouted after 24h, the South after 48h and the control after 96h.
=================================================================================================
From previous experiments conducted, but never until now, documented in this form on @GrowDiaries , I came to observe an increase in yield and size on plants growing through neodymium magnets oriented North side up.
This small experiment will try to prove this hypothesis on cannabis plants.
=================================================================================================
Currently there is a visible difference between the 3 plants. The North pole plant is much faster to develop looks double in size compared with the South plant and the control.
12.5L Airpots filled with Plagron RoyalMix. Plants are getting 3.33L of water in their last week.
All of the factors (e.g. light intensity and schedule, quantity and quality of water, time of watering plants, type and quantity of fertilizer, etc.) were kept constant except the orientation and placement of magnets. Also, a constant watering time was maintained to reduce unexpected variables that affect the growth of tested plants therefore the treatment and watering times were properly scheduled.
Plants are in a LightHouse LITE 1.5m² tent under Cropmaster Led Pro 1000 550w (make sure to check them out https://www.cropmaster-led.co.uk/ )

I would really encourage more growers to try this method and replicate this experiment in different growing mediums and also with clones. With DWC the effects will be even more spectacular as the principles of this experiment stays in the interaction between magnetic fields and water (and the different particles it carries with it through the stem and in the plant and finally in the flowers) 👽
Next entry - harvest with macro pictures and the conclusion of this Occult Magnetic Experiment.
I really like your magnet experiment bro. too bad you didn't start with clones. you know with seeds you'll get some that are just stronger and more vigorous and you have your runts that just seem to be stunted when you compare them. I think that might explain why south pole is doing better than control. if you do this experiment enough times tho, even with seeds you'll get good usable data. I ,for one, am interested in this type of data.
edit: I've just noticed the control plant also looks like it's in a smaller pot. is it just perspective playing tricks on me?
This grow has me intrigued. I’m a firm believer in electromagnetism and affects of frequency. Having studied both these areas along with quantum, I’m certain this experiment is one worth trying.
The only thing I would suggest is doing this experiment a few times, as even though it’s the same mother, there will still be different phenotypes. I’m happy to Help on my next grow to collect more data. Good luck my friend
@Qaggy, thank you for stopping by! Magnetic field was reported to affect phenotypic, genotypic, growth characteristics and different functions of the plants like root and shoot growth, germination of seeds, yield parameters, productivity, reproduction, growth of the meristem cells, mRNA quality, chlorophyll contents, enzyme activities, gene expression, protein biosynthesis.
I do this small scale experiment hopefully for the common urban growers to show how to increase their yields in their limited spaces, but there is not much interest...maybe if I'll put a tit near a magnet 😆
Will not do this experiment again, myself I am convinced, I use the magnets oriented North pole up on my plants for many many many grows. It is worth trying only if you need more yield from your plants. Good luck to you too, thanks for the kind words!
have u ever had a stalk get too thick for the diameter of the magnet ? it would probably stunt the growth for a little bit but if you planted some outdoor monster could grow so thick that at first it would get wounded and start digging into the stalk until the whole magnet would get swallowed by the stalk and become part of the plant itself. you could only get in back after harvest by carving into the wood to remove it. that "wood" be cool. sorry for the pun.
@DaSofaSurfer, in the Occult Magnetic Garden diary, Banana Blaze outgrew the diameter of the magnet. Plant did seam to mind it. Grew very well. Outdoors in soil should be spectacular to see 😍 or even in DWC or coco, as the water flux wold be even higher.
Need to try this!
Do you only use the magnet on the seeds during sprouting or through the whole grow?
Do you just suspend the magnet over the seeds/plant and/or bury in the soil?
Will be following along!
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, magnets are placed and left on the soil for the plant to grow through it. Just get a neodymium magnet (ring shape) check the polarity with a free app and place it with the North pole facing up.
