These are Dutch 'Orange Bud Auto' seeds from the Netherlands, as I wanted to jog a few old 'gezellig' memories. Merken shot up after a couple of days, but Lotte appeared to have two tap roots and got stuck in the seed shell. So, I have been watching closely and very gently removed the seed husk over the last three days. It was a risky manoeuvre, but it got the tap roots freed and ... we'll see.
Lotte will stay in the Aerogrow for the short term and her sister will graduate to the Coco.
Light defoliation and LST to flatten out the canopy. Long baths of pHd water throughout the day to lower pH and EC. Swapped out the HLG 100 for the Mars Hydro 2000 and switched down to a 12/12 cycle. I know, it's an auto, but I am experimenting with the light as it is still Fair new, as are growing autos!

Troubleshooting these colas:
Super skinny leaves on the top colas in contrast to the lower fan leaves. Is it just new bud/flower growth, or a lighting, humidity, or nutes issue, or a combo?
Humidity isn't above 60RH.
Nutes: pH: 6; EC: 840-960.
Missed adding CalMag (2 days only)
The light-colored leaves are a sign the plant needs more Nitrogen(and nutrients in general). Also, bring the humidity down a bit too at this stage you want it to be around 45-50%. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.
Harvested first of two plants. Pulled 4 3/8oz of primo buds and 1 1/2oz of larf. Jarred up this morning and started the curing process. Will have some delicious citricy buds for Christmas.
These plants really flourished weeks 3-4 with a fairly low dose of nutes. Only 400ppm from 3ml of Humboldt A&B and 1ml of CaliMagic and about 100ppm is from the tap water. Just got an EC reader (wand style), today. So, I will start tracking the EC along with the PH to get a better idea of how much the plants soak in each day by measuring the input and output (run-off). I will also start making a 4 gallon solution in one of my DWS buckets, instead of making the food each morning. I will be sure to stir and test the solution to track it over time, as it might last a while at this rate--only going through a couple of pints of food a day using 3 short soaks 2-3 times a day for both plants.
Both seeds are showing signs of sprouting. Plan is to get them up and vegging as I harvest the other plants.
The Aerogrow always comes through on germination. Sweet!

Thank you so much for taking the time. I will get that humic acid. The other plant had the same issue a little and I had noticed that the EC from the run off was getting high. I am still figuring out how to not overfeed, as it just created other problems!

I was going to ask if you were going to do some LST. Those are some good looking plants you've got some beautiful bud sites growing in. There are some awesome tips out there!! Happy growing my friend 😎

Yes. I am using LST to spread and flatten the canopy. I attached paperclips to the fabric pot rim and use twist ties. Just defoliated both plants to let more air and light in. Then used a Kyle Kushman technique for the first time removing all but the top flowers and some chiropractic on each stem. So, we will see how that goes on these autos. Cheers!
