Back with another update on our ๐๐ ZKITTLEZ AUTO cultivar bred by SEEDSMAN SEEDS!
Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome.
Now, for my weekly notes!

๐ AROMA: She smells amazing! Sweet grape candy and gassy herb! I can't wait to smoke these flowers!
โ๏ธ BUD STRUCTURE: She is forming long spear shaped colas. Her buds are looking like they will end up being quite dense.
๐จ COLOR: She is fading pretty hard right now. She is mostly lime green with some yellow and more and more purpling showing up on leaves and calyxes.
๐ฟ STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She's got nice thick stems and internodes are tight.
โ๏ธ TRAINING/PRUNING: I am being very selective with her defoliation. I remove no more than 10%-15% of foliage at any one time and I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions. I remove leaves facing inward towards the main stem in the center. I typically only remove older leaves 3-4 nodes below the tip of the growth shoot unless they're dead. The goal is to remove leaves that are blocking light and airflow without taking so much that the plant is stressed to avoid stunting. The defoliation helps increase light penetration and can help prevent overgrowth that can lead to botrytis or other fungal infections later in flower. I have been doing some training using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding. I am planning to use some soft green training wire ties to tie her down to open her up to help further improve airflow and light penetration.
โ๏ธTRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: Resin glands developing all over calyxes and banana leaves.
๐ฟ WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bi-diurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop. My plants are needing much less water than in previous runs. I typically give her one feed per week with light watering as needed between feeds. I feed the garden as a whole and I try my best to "read" the garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be and this I am now spacing feeds out about every 3-5 days. This is usually when the first plant in the garden shows beginning signs of wilt (slight drooping of lower fan leaves).
๐ OBSERVATION/NOTES: She appears happy and healthy! The breeder states she should finish in 75 days from seed, but it will definitely take a little bit longer than that.

The cultivar received approximately 1 gallon of solution. I mixed 17 gallons of solution for 17 plants. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed using a large plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4-inch air stones.

โข WATER APPLICATION: I use 2 different watering systems. The pump sprayer is typically used in early veg, between feeds, or for lighter feeds. Most feeds are usually run through the pump and reservoir because it's faster and easier when dealing with larger volume feeds.

@FoTwenny, I can't believe this question, I am looking for the same thing, I have found a few things but have not pulled the trigger, just not satisfied yet - found a perfect cup but its clear, and not sure that is going to be an option.
@MrJones, I live dangerously! Hey, you're really knowledgeable. Any suggestions of something I could use in place of solo cups with about same volume, but less top heavy?
@BudXs, Thanks for the positivity, my friend! I sure hope she will.. I hadn't planned on any drama in this diary, but it's an exciting cliffhanger. We will see how she looks tomorrow.
@Treighfunky, Thank you sir! I am trying to get more detailed with my updates! I am glad you enjoyed this update! I appreciate you stopping by. Have a wonderful day and happy growing!
Loving this diary. It's been a super helpful resource for my first grow (also Zkittlez autoflower using FF nutes). The level of detail is tremendous. Thank you!
@SmokeableHobby, Glad that you found the information useful. That said, I am still learning a lot and if you have any feedback you think may help I value your opinion! Good luck and happy growing!
I grew these seeds, the outcome was awesome, I thought they started to slow but was able to create a decent outcome, cant wait to see your Midas touch on these girls!
@MrJones, Thanks for the words of encouragement! They're not under the quantum boards but even with blurples there's still a lot of watts for the square footage. The NLBlue Auto I am running has been doing well. I am excited to see how she does! I hope I get a nice sweet and fruity pheno!
