MELs_Garden Welcome to RQS Triple G
Hello everyone, this time we come with the Triple G, a new variety from Royal Queen Seeds that they have given us to try out. We are very happy for this opportunity and we will do our best. Let's talk about the strain.
Type of variety: Feminized
THC: 26%
CBD: Low
Indoor harvest: 525 - 575 gr/m2
Height indoors: 90 – 140 cm
Flowering time: 8 - 9 Weeks
Genetic origin: Gorilla Glue 4 x Gelato 33
Type: Sativa 15% Indica 85%
Effect: A clean cerebral high
Climate: Warm
Flavor: Earthy, Pine, Sweet
On August 25 at 00:30 we put the 5 seeds to hydrate in water.
August 26
After 18 hours we see that all 5 have cracked open a bit. Then we put them in the plugin pro and in a small electric greenhouse with a blanket to evaporate the water into the air. We leave them in the dark.
August 27
4 out of the 5 have come out of the plugin pro and we transfer them to some containers of about 0.2l with monkey soil coco substrate. We moisten the substrate a bit with water + 0.25ml•l of ryzofuel.
We put them back in the greenhouses but this time with light.
August 28
We put them in the cabinet with grow the jungle LED strips of 3 × 15w for 24 hours for now, about 5cm above the greenhouse.
August 30
We perform periodic foliar spraying, always with ryzofuel.
Today we removed the lid from the greenhouse and now the lights shine directly on them. The growing conditions are quite good in terms of temperature and humidity.
We lost 1 of the 5 seeds, but for reasons unrelated to the seed itself. It's not completely lost, but I don't think it will reach the level of the others, so even if it comes out, it will be discarded. The rest looks very good, with a lot of energy.

MELs_Garden Week 2
From September 2 to 8
September 4
We filled the pots a bit and gave them a watering soaking the pot with Ryzofuel at pH 6 and EC of 0.2ms.
In the lower part of the pots, we can see that they are developing roots, so we will start watering with nutrients soon.
We continue with the same tone as the week, everything is going well and there isn't too much to comment on. Next week we will start adding the nutrients.
On September 7, we did a preventive treatment with spider killer.
September 8
Today we prepared the reservoir with nutrients.
We will continue with the Cyco range and the Toni 13 charts, one of my favorite growers. We will follow the charts that he uses for Cyco cultivation in coco.
The mix we prepared contains:
(As our tap water has 0.1ms, we left it at 0.4ms using Calmax and magnesium, from here we apply the fertilizers.)
• 0.5 ml/l: Uptake + Dr. Repair + Silica
• 0.6 ml/l: Grow A + Grow B
• 1 ml/l: Zyme + B1 Boost + Ryzofuel
(Amount we added of each product.)
EC: 900 microsiemens
pH: 5.8
Th20 23.3°C
Well, until now we had the LED strips about 20cm or less to reduce initial stretching, but once that was done, we raised them to 30cm, which is ideal. Other than that, very happy, all very symmetrical and so far all the same.

From September 9 to 15
We give them a splash of the cyco mix every 1-2 days, depending on what each one needs.
Today I checked the substrate and you can see that the bottom of the pot is well-rooted.
September 12
We transplanted to 2L pots with 100% coco. As you can see, all 4 were very well-rooted and are in good health. Ryzofuel is really good.
Watering with 1ml/L ryzofuel at pH 5.8 and EC 0.2ms
September 13
We are foliar feeding with vitality plus 50ml/L to help them recover better from the transplant stress and to prevent issues.
In the photos, you will see they are a bit down from the transplant.
September 15
We end this week with very good feelings. They have recovered from the transplant stress like it was nothing. They look very healthy and as you can see, they are all very even; for now, all 4 are very stable.

MELs_Garden Week 4
From September 16 to 22
We are watering each plant individually according to their needs; the watering is always under the same conditions as the values above ⬆️⬆️) for all the plants, but the intervals between waterings are different.
The plants are starting to grow well, and we are running out of space, so in a few days, we will start the culling.
September 19
We have removed about 5 plants from our cabinet, and we now have better space for them to grow without competing with each other.
The plants have gone to our friend noobgrower's grow, including the gorilla glue #4, so we have deleted the diary we were keeping.
September 20
We pruned a node starting from the bottom.
Every now and then, a foliar with ryzofuel at 1ml/l since it doesn't create a magnifying effect and can be used both in ON and OFF.
September 22
This is looking really good; with the space we've given them, they have reduced stretching a lot and are becoming more compact. It won't be long until the transplant to final pots.

From September 23 to 29
We're continuing with the same routine as last week. The waterings are practically the same, and occasionally a foliar with ryzofuel.
September 28
We transferred 2 of the 4 triple G to 7L pots. We didn't move all 4 because we ran out of substrate... tomorrow we'll transfer the remaining ones.
Other than that, I don't have much to say because for now, everything is practically the same as the previous weeks.
The waterings are following the usual pattern.

MELs_Garden Week 6
From September 30 to October 6
October 1
We transplanted the 2 that we had left. We would have done it earlier, but it took us a few days to get the soil. We're going to try the CANNA coconut substrate. At first glance, it looks good.
The 2 that were left were very well-rooted.
We moved to the LEC room at 315w.
October 3
We watered with the same base as always but without the grow A+B so they don't get too much, keeping the EC at 0.8ms and the pH at 6.
October 3
We did a little defoliation, removing some fan leaves to let the light penetrate better. We also placed stakes and did some low pruning.
Tomorrow we'll switch to flowering; it's about time...
From now on, they will stay in their final spot, and the monitoring will be more thorough.

MELs_Garden Week 2
From October 12 to 18
October 13
We watered using my Cyco chart, practically with the conditions and fertilizers mentioned above.
We took the opportunity to move the plants and make the most of the space we have. Now they have their space without bothering each other and will be able to develop without problems. One of them is incredibly well, big and robust, the other 2 are doing fine, and then we have one that is a bit less developed but is hanging in there; we'll see how it goes.
Low temperatures around 23°C when the lights are ON and about 18/19°C when OFF. Humidity between 50/60%.
October 14
We did a little defoliation, removing sinkers and some large leaves that were blocking the light.
October 16
With the lights off, we did a foliar spray of C no insects to prevent pests and eliminate any possible threat.
On the other hand, we watered with Cyco fertilizers and with the conditions specified above, both pH and EC as well as the doses per product.
Other than that, everything is progressing well.

MELs_Garden Week 3
From October 19 to 25
The product we used for prevention left a kind of grit on the leaves; the plants may be pest-free, but I'm not too sure it sat well with them...
October 20
We don't know if it's due to excess or the residues on the leaves, but just to be safe, we watered with water.
1.5ml calcium max + 1ml magnesium
pH 6.1
EC 0.8ms
Th20: 22°C
October 21
We did some minor defoliation, mainly the lower leaves that weren't getting enough light and some upper leaves so the buds could receive direct light. Anyway, we removed only a few leaves to avoid stressing her too much or leaving her bald.
October 23
We removed the rest of the leaves that we saw were bothering but that we didn't remove earlier to avoid overdoing the defoliation.
October 24
We watered again following Toni's cyco chart 13, which basically includes the fertilizers and conditions marked above.
October 25
We finished the week with 4 triple Gs heading into flowering. The conditions are great, 24.3°C ON and about 20.2°C OFF with a relative humidity around 50/55% with some days at 47%.
Very thick stems and large, wide leaves. The sizes vary: 80, 75, 70, and 60 (cm) respectively.

MELs_Garden WEEK 4
From October 26 to November 1
Let's start drawing conclusions:
4 plants and all 4 are the same, good sign. Height difference between the tallest and the shortest is about 10cm, good sign. Concentration of flowers in the central bud area and very sturdy stems.
We're going to stick to the usual routine, and the waterings will continue to be individual. Even though they are done on different days, the mix will be the same for all and under the same conditions (fertilizers, pH, EC...)
October 30
We did a little defoliation. The waterings are being done as needed, so some days I water just 1 and the next day 2... depending on what they ask for.
October 31
We reorganized the plant distribution in the indoor area and moved the 4 Triple G to the other tray lit with LED.
Since we see that the plants are generally a bit over-nourished, we will do the next waterings with the following mix:
1.5 Calmax + 1.5 MG + 1 DR Repair + 1 Kleanse + 0.16 Mammoth P
pH: 6.2
EC: 0.8ms
Th2O: 22.5°C

MELs_Garden WEEK 5
From November 2 to 8
We continue to do individual waterings for each plant, watering them as they need it.
For now, we will stick with the water and the mix we made until we see they are at 100%.
1 calmax + 1.5 magnesium + 1 kleanse + 1 dr repair
pH: 6.2
EC: 0.8ms
Th20: 23°C
November 8
From here on out, we will start watering with nutrients again since they look better and seem more ready to eat.
They are progressing wonderfully, except for one; the rest look like they are going to produce a really good central bud, while the other has branched out a bit more and has better distribution along the branches.
Also, since we are working with somewhat low temperatures, depending on the day, they are acquiring a very nice purple shine.

MELs_Garden Week 6
From November 9 to 15
This week we are watering again with nutrients, but we also changed the proportions and added and removed a few others. Everything is specified above.
We remind you that the waterings are individual as needed.
I am very happy with this triple G. The 4 have turned out very similar, 3 of them are turning purple, especially 2 of them, all have a central bud full of resinous buds except for 1 that has thrown out a bit more branches.
Some of them have already lightened the leaves quite a bit, so they will absorb the nutrients eagerly. So far, everything is great.
November 14
First of all, we did a watering with nutrients, all specified in the section above.
On the other hand, we modified the lighting.
Before we had 1 lec 315w light + 2 × 150w jackson leds, now we removed one 150w jackson to take it to our vegetative cabinet and we added another lec 315w. The amount of light now is much greater, let's hope they take advantage of it.
Other than that, everything is progressing steadily.

MELs_Garden Week 7
From November 16 to 22
After resuming watering with nutrients, they show signs of over-fertilization, so today we did a little flush... although at this rate, we might do one more watering and start the flushing.
Everything else is good.
November 20
Everything keeps progressing; the one that has branched out the most is starting to swell.
Day by day, the rest is doing well, but they are focusing more on resin production than fattening up.
Humidity is a bit higher than we would like, but it's within the parameters.
November 22
We're watering again with nutrients because after the flush, I still see them receptive.
And that's how we wrap up week 7. Next week, we'll do a watering with nutrients or maybe 2, and then we'll start the flushing. Still, everything is relative and variable because we'll really act according to what we see they tell us.

MELs_Garden Week 8
From November 23 to 29
Another little week.
2 of them are resinous champions and the other 2 are still fattening up. This strain is 8-9 weeks, so here's the plan. We're going to do a watering with water to make the most of what's left in the substrate, and after this watering, we'll start the flush, at least for 2 of them; we'll see about the other 2 as we go along.
November 26
Watering with water + 1 Mg + 1 calcium + 1 kleanse
pH: 6.2
EC: 0.8ms
Th2O: 22.5°C
After the watering with water, we’ve been doing the flush in the following days.
They smell a lot, and we’re already counting down... next week we’ll start harvesting them as we go.
Everything else is good.
As the days passed and they needed watering, we’ve only watered with water with a pH of 6 and EC: 0.2ms.
December 2
We harvested 3 of the 4 Triple G.
December 3
We harvested the last Triple G.
Well, this is where the cultivation of our Triple G from Royal Queen Seeds comes to an end.
Now, until we harvest, dry, and cure a bit (enough to smoke it), there won’t be any updates.
P.S.
We took "the secret" from the scissors while manicuring the Triple G, and after drying a bit, we smoked it and... INCREDIBLE, this is promising.
Thank you all very much!

MELs_Garden Well, we consider our Triple G from Royal Queen Seeds finished.
GROWTH
Let's start by commenting on the growth of our Triple G.
It's a low-cut plant, its indica dominance is noticeable in its morphology. They are short plants with a short internodal distance, quite thick stems, large and wide leaves, and a short to medium branching.
I would have liked to train it to see how it reacts, but maybe another time.
Still, I think it's highly recommended for SOG setups.
It fed like a champion and never caused any issues.
Very good growth.
FLOWERING:
As for flowering, they approximately doubled in size, though some may not have even done that. I had one that ended up too short, in my opinion, I should have given them more growth.
The lower branches stretched quite a bit, gaining a lot of strength but mainly concentrating in the central part.
Around the fourth week, 3 out of 4 started to take on purple hues that intensified over the days, while the other one stayed a bit dark green.
The purple plants were practically identical, except for the one that stayed small, but other than that, they were practically the same.
The one that stayed green was the same as the rest but in green and with larger flowers on the branches.
Its smell was very sweet and penetrating, it already hinted that it was going to be a good plant, and it did not disappoint.
What I would highlight the most would be its resin, abundant everywhere, almost eclipsing the purple of the leaves, no words.
Incredible.
TASTING TRIPLE G
Once we dried our Triple G,
we put them in glass jars and let them cure for about a month and a half.
The buds are compact and VERY resinous with a very strong sweet smell... I emphasize that the amount of resin is immense. Just grabbing a bud to put in the grinder leaves your hands full, exquisite.
The buds are very compact and go a long way.
When smoking it, the flavor is just like its aroma. It leaves your mouth saturated with flavor with just one puff. Each puff fills you up, and when exhaling, it has that sweet sweet sweet flavor of a true gelato. Incredible, the flavor is a 10 and it's practically what I look for. Here, quality prevails over quantity, and this strain has been a total success.
Conclusions:
I would grow it again, and I can assure you that I will grow it again, especially knowing what I've learned. I love it in every way, but I’m particularly fond of its flavor when smoking and its immense resin. A great success, I’m very happy. 😊😊
Thank you all so much, and special thanks to Crazy Roots and @RoyalQueenSeeds for the trust and for letting me try these wonderful strains. Thank you!
@sacredgeometry, I'll give them a watering with nutrients and I think maybe a little more, because of the harvest dates you mentioned I should flush them soon.
