week two has made me realise some errors had been made; I have been including vitalink ph down into our feeds but I have found out bio bizz soil has ph buffer included, so not only did I make the error of bringing the ph down when it was not needed Leading to potential nutrients being locked out I also made the error of using a chemical product which may have harmed some of the micro life in the soil. - 08/09/20 Quickly I checked over the plants to realise there where some sure signs of cal/mag and other deficiencies developing on leaves. I then Lightly flushed the plants with 2 litres of Ph 7.0 water to rid excess nutrients then 2 days later they where already dry and thirsty so flushed with another 2 litres of water ph 7.6 this time with the run off coming in at 6.2 which shows we defiantly had problems from buffering the ph ourselves and then the soil further buffering the ph. After topping no signs of stress other then BM4 where a few of the fan leaves look slightly droopy which turned out to be related to the ph problems. - topped 01/09/20 2 days after this i then proceeded with a regular feed however we have obviously removed ph down and replaced grow with fish mix to give the plants so that the nutrients would be more readily available after having to flush. Feed 6.9 ph Run off 6.4/6.5 :D If there are still signs of cal/mag problems in a few days I will begin to include bio cal mag. Biobizz algamic and activera have been ordered and will be added to the feeding regiment to help with the immune system of the plant making them more resilient to disease and pests as well as stimulate growth as well as helping encourage healthy micro life in the soil :)

No my friend this is not normal ... Looks like the first signs of a deficiency. Would need a closer photo to give a more accurate answer to what deficiency your dealing with. Most of the time the dark leaves are a sign of too much nitrogen. Hopefully this was helpful and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.

I'm a soil guy. Different soils buffer differently. Always ph before feeding... always. Optimum for dirt is 6.3. The other guy is right, 6.0 to 6.5 is acceptable.

They look good to me, but you should pH to 6.0 going in, going out you're looking at 6.5 but it can be a bit different Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hey Growmie, Just saw your ph, for soil that's too high that could be a major part of the problem, this can cause a nutrient lockout, which makes the plant not intake nutrients, you want your ph to be at 6.0 - 6.5. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.
