I was using the grow room as a drying room so I had to put these GG4 in a room where they were neglected😕 but they are now in their new home and I expect them to thrive. I'm following a VPD chart and supplying tanked C02. I like to keep the leaf temperature close to 24-25 degrees and I guess this strain likes the room a little warmer between 75-80. Will be Running four 4X4 tables with 4 plants per table (16 plants). Three Spider Farmer SF4000's on a track moving over 3 tables and One Spider Farmer SF4000 stationery over one table. I always PH the water between 5.8 and 6 but I think I should start using an EC meter. I think I made them drunk by giving them too much water!

Transplanted from a 2L pot into a 6 Gallon (22L) pot and watered H20 PH 5.9 til runoff. I had to move the lights up to 29" above canopy, I had them at 22" and this may be the culprit even though the leaf temp was 25 C. Current leaf temp is 23.5 to 24 C, 55%RH 26 C or 79 F Room Temp. I have hurt them somehow (the damage had happened before transplanting to larger pots). At first I thought it was light burn, as the veins remain darker and leaf edges yellow, and the leafs ridges seem very pronounced, Tips are brown and look burnt. I don't think it's nitrogen Deficiency because it doesn't seem to be yellowing from bottom up but more at the top of the plant. I have been under feeding. I am using half peat half coco HP with mycorrhizae, EWC, powdered dolomite lime, perlite. I ph'd the water going in at 5.9 and ph'd the water coming out the first tray was 5.8 the second was 5.7 and the third 4X4 tray ph'd at 5.7.

Hi! Those leaf edges looks like zinc deficiency but you have something else going on in there too so my two cents is that you have or had stressful/wrong conditions for her. Might be wrong pH in the soil probably or bad drainage or something 'cos many times micronutrient deficiencies come up in stressful times and they clear up on their own when problem is corrected. Check the soil pH first and move from there

Today is Day 51 or Week 8 In Veg. They aren't ready to water yet but will be at weeks end. The plants have been recovering from zinc deficiency ( shout out to Shagrath for diagnosing the problem) they seem to like this new soil mix much better. I took some Dutch Nutrient Growth Burst which contains soybean meal and zinc and foliar fed the girls with a fine mist sprayer at a PH of 7.0 at quarter strength. Twice I lightly sprayed them while the lights were on. I raised the lights to lower the leaf temp when I sprayed😊. I felt they showed improvement almost immediately. I wasn't going to prune while dealing with the zinc problem because I was worried this would cause too much stress but I did prune more drastically then ever before despite my worries. I don't want to flip until this deficiency has been corrected. Gorilla Glue #4 are from 11" to 21" tall. I was glad to see vertical growth especially after the zinc def. Running the room at 26C or 79F and 55%RH and 24 - 25C or 75-77F leaf temp. Water temp 21 Degrees, Running 3 Return to Waste Tables, 6 Gallon Pots. Mixed up food and nutrients for 60 Litres of well water then added 60 more litres of well water to this, and PH'd to 6.0. (using half strength) Each pot received 2 gallons. Runoff was 5.7, 5.8 & 6.0 PH using a Nutradip PH meter. I also used a blue lab truncheon which showed runoff of 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4 EC. Wow Glad I didn't feed at full strength! Now to learn about EC . I read that run off EC should be within 300 points of Inflow EC (*runoff may be up to 300 points higher than the inflow) Man I learn stuff and then its gone and I get to learn it again!

Sept 12/2020- Day 57 or 1st Day of Week 9 Just watered a few days ago and these pots are 6.23 Gallons so probably every 7 -9 days. I removed more leaves today and thinned them out. Been a good week nothing happened. The room is staying at 79-80F, 55%RH, 75-77F Leaf Temp. 13" to 23" high. GG4 doesn't seem to mind the higher temp. I like using the half strength macros and micros both in the plants response to them as well as the savings. I will watch for deficiencies. Looking forward to 12/12 very soon. Greened up since feeding but not overly. Will follow EC chart for feeding.

Lights on 12/12. Watered today using an EC meter. I'm loving this! Why wasn't I using this before? EC 2000 or 2.0 inflow, and 2.2 to 2.8 runoff.😟 Made up more water at EC2000 and ran this thru the pots that were off scale. This brought them all down to runoff 2.1, 2.2, 2.3. Well I wasn't making up any more water so I left a pot over by 300. 2 Pots got missed tonight as I thought 120 L would be enough but since the conductivity was too much it required more irrigation to push the salts & electrolytes thru the medium. I shouldn't screw up with this tool. The plants will love this😄 less chance to hurt them. I will water more often which should help with the runoff EC. TDS -ppm 1000 on the 500 scale. Finally watered the last 2 runoff was 2.5 so I brought it down to 2.0. Started up the 4th Light for 4 plants per tray. Room is running well but I didn't PH the water on the last 2 pots until after I realized I'd forgot 😩, PH was 5.2 here's hoping they like this shift or the lime or HP will help to buffer a little bit? Watering each pot individually takes more time but ensures the conductivity for that particular pot. Checked tips the next day to see any tip drop, check the depth of green colour, leatheryness of the leaf or thickness, dullness. I have one which is suspect! The rest look happy to me but you can see how the zinc def made the nodes grow so close together and squat a few. Interesting how the plants grow in response to their requirements and to what I do to them. It feels good to be able to better nail it for the plants and to get healthy , high potency medical grade cannabis after we kill, ingest and inhale the stuff.....Priceless! Now just to remember it all.😏 Well dam it's still week 10! I thought there were 3 that were a little too dark so I pushed thru about 21 L of 6.0 PH, 2.0EC water each to get them down from a runoff of 3.6EC to 2.0.. Is it my imagination or do they look instantly better? The next day they were a more natural green. Today Sept 21/2020 is 66 Days and 7 Days In 12/12

Been having problems with EC! And I thought I had it made.😏 The only thing I can figure is my mix of HP Myco, and HP coco coir, EWC, shrimp compost, perlite and a little powdered dolomite lime must be too "hot". I am using a bluelab truncheon that is accurate and my runoff EC is 3.6. Plants were still to dark despite my hopes. My well water is 400ppm so I will try to keep my input water 1.8EC and 6.2 - 6.5 PH, 21 degrees and my runoff 2.0 EC. I have put thru another 120 L of just PH'd water 0.8EC until runoff was 1.8 to 2.2. Their shade of green looks better but there are 4 that are still too dark so I will try more water tomorrow. EC'd, PH'd & took Temp of all inflow and outflow on 10 plants (this takes forever)😟. Watered again with 6.3 PH, 20 degree, 0.9 EC well water and put thru 3 gallons for 6 plants . Run off EC was 0.8, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 2.0! Their colour and hue is much better than it was, not so heavy and dull, and I believe that this flushing has saved them from being stunted and having more cell wall damage, as well as nitrogen toxicity and other bad stuff. You can see them coming around already from my blunders. Today Sept 28 is Day 73 and Day 14 of Bloom. I can hardly wait to actually feed them something in a couple of days.

Now In Week 3 of Bloom and are getting the pom pom's😍. First time giving them bloom food although my Runoff EC was too low in most pots; I'm thinking this is cause I've previously leached the medium? I hope I soon get this EC Runoff closer to 1800 to 2000. I have 2 plants that I stunted that are now 18" tall they are the shortest, and the most tortured😣 with high salts; most plants are 33" high now. The colour is much more natural and not so leathery looking to me. I had to adjust the Bloom food & add more in order to get me at 1800. I'm going to feed more frequently and hope this helps to bring up the EC runoff on the pots which are low while not overdosing the others. OCT 2nd & 3rd- Inputs: 6.3PH - 20.3 & 19.8 Temp - 1.8EC Runoffs: Pot 1 PH 5.5 Temp 20.6 EC 2.1 Pot 2 PH 5.9 Temp 20.6 EC 1.7 Pot 3 PH 6.0 Temp 20.4 EC 1.7 Pot 4 PH 5.5 Temp 20.8 EC 1.6 Pot 5 PH 5.4 Temp 20.2 EC 1.7 Pot 6 PH5.9 Temp 20.8 EC 1.8 Pot 7 PH 5.8 Temp 20.3 EC 1,9 Pot 8 PH 5.3 Temp 20.9 EC 1.5 Pot 9 PH 5.8 Temp 21.7 EC 1.4 Pot 10 PH 5.3 Temp 20.7 EC 1.9 Pot 11 PH 5.7 Temp 21.2 EC 1.7 Pot 12 PH 5.8 Temp 21.5 EC 1.4 Pot 13 PH 5.8 Temp 22.4 EC 1.5 Pot 14 PH 5.5 Temp 21.8 EC 1.6 Pot 15 PH 5.6 Temp 22.6 EC 1.7 Pot 16 PH 5.9 Temp 21.8 EC 1.5 Because of my trays I can water 5 Plants at a time so this monitoring takes awhile but I'm getting better at it😄 OCT 8 Inputs PH 6.3 Temp 20.8 EC 1.8 -- Run off was 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 2.0 *EC of well water is 0.9 EC or 450 PPM.

I am convinced that I've managed to avoid a nitrogen toxicity by monitoring the inputs and the runoff of individual pots. There is only 1 plant remaining whose runoff was 300 above inputs and was showing the curled, too-dark leaves . The plants look happy, yesterday I played some rocking Mozart for them and they loved it! Today Oct 12 (Canadian Thanksgiving almost) is 2nd Day of Week 4 In Bloom and 87Days Old. I defoliated yesterday quite a bit; I've read that this is a no no as it takes energy to repair but I did it anyway, the plants reacted like they appreciated the haircut😶 I'll never know how it affected the buds. The buds are no longer hiding under the foliage as much👍 Took some of these pictures and video with only 1 light on - to try and show their "true" colour. Inputs Temp 20, PH 6.3, EC 1.8 Runoffs 1 Pot 2.1EC, 6 Pots 2.0EC, 4 Pots 1.9EC, 4 Pots 1.8 EC, 1 Pot 1.7EC Oct 16 - 32 Days In Bloom 91 Days -- Fed Again-Inputs: Temp 20, EC 1.8 PH 6.3 Run off: Temp 20, PH 6.3 EC 1.8, 1.9, 2.0 on all pots😊 First time using Enzymes; see if I notice anything. Smell has definitely increased in the last couple of days.😁 I am stoked on how these budlets have developed, the ladies are forming almost textbook style and right on time! (finally from providing proper nutrition and environment). Rails of goodness are starting. This has been the best indoor grow to date .

Oct 20 Starting Well Water 0.9EC or 450PPM (Hard Water) @ 19 Degrees Inputs : EC 2.0. PH 6.4 Temp 19-21 2 Gallons each Runoffs: EC 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3 Goal is to Grow High Brix 12-15% better than the medical grade cannabis to help with a myeloproliferative neoplasm😧 as well as for fun😎. Any tips, working knowledge or suggestions towards this goal is greatly welcomed and would be played forward. Just read that if a plant has a BRIX of 12% or higher that some insects won't lunch on it! Loving this plant😀 Flavonoids and Cannaflavins are phytonutrients and along with carotenoids are responsible for colours. They are anti-mutagenic, anti-cancer, antioxidant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, immuno-protective .. Maybe better than aspirin for inflammation trial is still out😉. Catechins are anti-proliferative, cardio-protective and reduce cholesterol. More medical studies need to be done on this plant😶 Some plants are showing signs of a deficiency. I believe I have locked out calcium. I watered yesterday with 2 Gal each of Dutch Nutrient Diamond which has amino acids, humic and fulvic ,kelp (has b vitamins and amino acids in it). Green Planet Terpinator for the 4% Sulphate of Potash (SOP) or potassium sulfate...I saw a Video with the awesome Dr. Harley Smith and wrote 7 pages of full scape and he mentions to use amino acids to help plants uptake calcium. These products contained them and I had them on hand...hope it helps.

Today October 25th is the First day of Week 6 In Flower. Received the Refractometer and got right to pressing. First I tried a mortar and pestle to extract the sap -- this worked ok but took a lot of time and force. Then I tried 2 spoons held together and squeezed with vice grips (didn't work for me). 2 Pieces of MDF board squeezed together with vice grips didn't work either. I guess I'm not strong enough. Tried a blender, a hand blender...neither of these worked! Then the vice, it was faster and took less force to extract the sap. Works great! Took leaves from top to bottom of each individual plant. (16 plants) Rolled a few leaves up, put in a numbered piece of parchment and pressed.....voila...sap😃 Refractometer was already calibrated and ready to go. Placed sap on meter, held up to light and there it is! My first BRIX reading😮 using $28 Refractometer. Going to change base nutrients to a "hard water" formula. So impressed with Harley Smith that I've ordered some NPK RAW products. Like the idea of micro dosing. I sent Harley an email and he replied the same day! Not a canned response either. So cool. Thanks Harley! AND he took a look at GrowDiaries and this grow✊😃 What a kind gentleman. 😇 Hope I didn't go overboard but I watered again today with amino acids and cal mend to try to fix this Calcium def. Will Brix leaves tomorrow and see if this makes a difference. The brix line yesterday was very clear and very easy to read indicating a calcium def. Maybe locked out from too much phosphorous or hard water? Watered Oct 29 & 30 Temp 20 PH 6.4 EC 1.9 Runoff EC 1.9 to 2.3 after at least 2-3 Gallons of water put thru each pot. Some pots Runoff were way off the charts😵EC 3.6! . Put water thru until EC hit 2.3 on 2 pots others were EC 1.9 to 2.1. Put 56 Gallons or 220L thru plants over a 2 day period until I reached a better EC.

Nov 6th Plants are 113 Days Old - 53 Days in Flower- Week 7. The ladies have a stronger smell now and I can see some frost. Watered with 6.4 PH, Temp 20, EC 2.0 Runoff was 2.0 to 2.3. I thought I would run 1.8EC but trying to see if going higher increases Brix. Still following VPD for Mid to Late Flower😇.

2nd time doing Brix levels...some ladies went from a Brix of 4 to a Brix of 10 while 2 only went from a Brix of 4 to 6. I am pleased with their progress upwards. Dam just learned you should take leaves for testing 2 hours after lights on....I took leaves from dark period 😣. Will update with new Brix numbers taken with lights on. Chopping is coming very soon. I will tag the Brix of each plant when I hang to dry so I'm able to keep track of how the higher Brix relates to taste, smell and potency😎 😁The ladies noticeably got fatter over night!(Nov 11th). Man they really enjoyed that last watering, hope this continues into next week. Just read to take your Brix leaves in a "Z" or "W" pattern as older leaves will contain higher carbs. The refracted light tells us the amount of carbs in the "juice or sap" and minerals too like calcium, proteins and fats (lipids). High Brix enables weed to produce secondary metabolites = greater medicinal value. Sucrose/sugar (Carbs) & mineral levels in the fruit or flower translates or relates to taste. A tasteless 3 Brix tomato from the grocery store or a 14 Brix tomato from OMG you grow delicious tomatoes. Death to covalent bonding! (My goal a 20 Brix😀 Won't be happening with this grow but will be the next😁). Read that most people can detect a half point difference in Brix in the flavour. Lots of smell coming from these Gorilla Girls😵 I can only go so far with plant chemistry and then I get a headache and get lost😔

Watering now with only PH'd water. Watching the trichomes for a little bit of amber. Some Brix went up and some went down😕 Watered with 160L of PH water twice so far. Previous to this, I used DN - Clear in PH'd water 6.1. Now using rain water with no registered EC.

I have 18 - 1.9L glass jars which ended up as just over 56 ounces dry bud. Strong head stone and a light green colour, good skunky smell. Smooth smoke😍. I think this bud is my best so far. I had good intentions about the Brix on harvest but unfortunately it didn't work out. It seems that there is an emergency window when harvesting time comes around! I couldn't cut them down fast enough!! I didn't monitor the Brix level before harvest. I know the Brix was not high enough I'd like 25%😵 I lost 4 plants that went hermie and developed bananas as well as PM...funny how I missed the bananas but I did. The 4 were in their own tray on an outside wall and I believe the substrate got too cold at night. I had sprayed these 4 with 3%HP diluted 4 times once I saw the PM. These got tossed in the trash. The ash is white and the smoke is smooth. 😍 Hits you in the head and behind the eyes😎 Addition: Smooth, smooth smoke, never goes out, nice skunky smell, good buzz, dense buds. Very Happy with medicinal qualities of this bud.😍
