I let the soil dry over 2-3 days and then pour as much water as it takes to start dripping. Every 3rd watering gets the extra food. I use pond water every other bucket, I don't know how fish shit and algae affect the growth but the plant has seemed quite happy and easy being green.

If the counting starts when the first set of leaves pop out then I'm at 8 weeks with today's pics. I've started plain water 4 days ago. How close does this look to chopping?

You have 2 weeks minimum. Don't flush, it's a useless practice. All you have done is starved it right when it should be fattening up the most. Flushing doesnt "remove nutes" from the plant and doesn't make smoke harsher.
