Germinated with no issues at all within 48 hours and that was just throwing them in a glass of water at room temp with very little love lol. Looking forward to this grow
Plain sailing so far, held back a little keeping them in small pots and only a 150w cfl, now on to 20L pots and a 400w mh. Vigorous growth and lovey structure are my first thoughts of the runtz
They have stretched a lot more than I anticipated for the first week of 12/12. Very happy so far and have about 19 cuts ready to test the strain in coco in my spare two grow chambers. I have numbered all the cuts in relation to which plant they came off so I will be keeping only the best two out of the 5 plants.
Very happy with the growth structure so far, I normally top and train or scrog my canopies but want to just let them go to see their natural growth structure. In the next 5-12 days I will swap out the metal halide for my sodium bulb depending on how much they stretch.
Plants were growing so fast I snapped the main heads on 4/5 at a 90 degree angle and they have bounced back already. These are growing so fast I am going to have to mount the light directly to the tent bar on the roof of the tent.
All of the plants are showing sex but one is showing it’s sex half way up a branch instead of at a node and the bract is separated from the ovule as shown in the last picture, very strange mutation.
Apart from that all in great health and looking promising
Had one plant hemi, probably due to the high stress training I did last week.
All plants looking very healthy, two out of the remaining 4 are several inches taller so may tie these down to even the canopy a little.
One pheno is a lot more sativa looking than the others and had a much bigger stretch.
Unfortunately the very top buds look like they have got too hot and don’t seem to be fattening up as I would expect especially the main cola on each plant. Debating if to remove the main couple of inches of the main cola or to just hope reducing the temp will allow them to develop as normal. Any advice welcome.
Struggling a bit with high temps and lower humidity than I would like but they look great.
Typically the one plant that I threw away the cuts from as it looked too sativa turns out smells the best and its literally like a bag of skittles lol
Looking like it is possibly the best genetics I have ever grown.
The one sativa in structure pheno that I wasn’t that happy with is now the best smelling and bud production has easily caught up and overtaken some others.
I have a gelato pheno, a zkittles pheno and two which look to be a even mix of the two.
So impressed with these that I am going to buy some more as I only have kept two phenos and test run them again in organic but also in coco and hydro.
Will be begin flushing in about 5-6 days
Buds look absolutely insane even when taken under a hps, no filter is needed when buds look this good. Smell is insanely sweet and some phenos leaning a little to zkittlez and some to gelato. I already have cuts but I might even buy some more to hunt phenos from a larger pack.

Pictures speak for themselves, I had high temps, supercropped the help out of them and yet are still the nicest looking bud I have ever grown since I started in 2003.
Can’t wait to test how they smoke. I have two phenos but off to buy some more to do a more in depth pheno hunt.
Simply put the best strain I have ever grown in almost 20 years growing, two leaning more toward zkittlez and two towards gelato.
Smell, taste and bag appeal is 10/10.
So impressed I am going to purchase another 6-10 for another pheno hunt.

This is the first new type of strain that actually fully lives up to the hype. I am very very fussy but this one really blew me away in every aspect. I look forward to seeing yours finished👍

Looking to try the watermelon zkittlez next but I have enough cuts to do at least two more runs with the runtz. Really impressed with them man

@Esoteric_growing, that’s amazing. I can’t wait for my girls to start putting on weight. They are coming into week 2 now. I only popped one bean and when she got big enough I took about 25 clones from her once scrogged. I hope I get the gelato leaning pheno like yours. The bud structure looks cool.
@Mr_Weeds_Autos, thanks pal it’s definitely the nicest looking plant I have grown, yield looks minimal compared to my normal grows but then again I didn’t train the plant as I usually do.
I plan on running some autos at some point and would be good to pick your brain as it’s something I have never done before if that would be ok pal
@R_Dank, thanks bro. If you are looking for a runtz strain I am sure out of a pack of 5 you will find something worth keeping. To be honest all 4 of mine were top shelf in every way but two stood above the rest.
@HighAltitudeOrganics, I have a cut of the most gelato type pheno and one of a slightly more leaning zkittlez but unfortunately the one I really want I didn’t get a cut of as it looked like the runt of the litter but turned out to be the most fruity sweet pheno. I am debating if to try and re-veg it to try and get some cuts. Problem is I trimmed up from the bottom and didn’t leave any small growth so unsure if 2-3 gram buds will be able to go back into veg.
This is the one time I didn’t keep a cut of every plant and typical I miss a keeper. May just pop another 10 pack of beans.
