Soaked the seeds in a glass of water for 18 hours then put in damp paper towels in a ziplock bag in the dark for another 2 days. Tap roots had grown over an inch and then planted in damp soil filled solo cups and sprayed with water. Put the lights and fans on. Zkittlez (Yellow marker) sprouted the next day Every couple of days watered around the edges of the cup. On day 4 got info that autoflowers should be planted in their final pots so freaked out and transplanted them into 3 gallon fabric pots.

Played around with lights a bit before ending up raising them Added silicon to support stem growth. Also bottom-watered to ensure roots grow down.

Started LST this week, she's tall and skinny so easy to bend. Had a pH disaster this week, had been using Britax filtered water but used tap water for the first time and didn't pH it until the next day when I noticed some issues in my leaves. Turns out the tap water was pH 8.5 so quickly added some pH'd 5 water to counteract. The high Calcium in the tap water also seems to have locked out the Magnesium, so have ordered some Epsom salts.

Upped the grow nutrients this week and added flowering nutes towards the end of the week. The Zkittlez doesn't drink much and seems to be more sensitive to issues. Got my epsom salts delivery so used in a foliar spray just before lights out. Took a couple of leaves to help light access the lower budsites. Lots of leaf-tucking and LST as usual. Discovered the scarring on the Zkittlez leaves that I thought might have been a deficiency or bugs, was actually caused by my oscillating fan being on the high setting instead of low. The Zkittlez doesn't seem to have grown much but is further ahead in flower production, although they are tiny.

Is it normal for pistils to be turning brown this early?

Hi! The pistils can turn brown early for many reasons. Yours looks like it's heat related but cant say for sure. Other reasons can be due to pollination, touching or spraying water etc.. Hope this helps

My plant keeps producing strange 3-pronged leaves, it has some older 5 pronged leaves but most of the new ones are 3. Have I overstressed it with LST?

Hey! This plant is definitely stressed. You can notice how thin and few leaves she has. Also what you mentioned is a key indicator that she's stressing hard, her leaves went from 5 to 3 and they're very prolonged. As for GYOweed's comment, that's not true there are great auto flowers out there but you have to check the background genetics that way you'll see how strong her genetics are and that way know what kind of training you can do. I personally prefer feminized regular but I've had auto flowers give me 60-80 grams per plant. Recently harvest to little autos from my balcony and they look gorgeous. It is true that they are picky and need special attention because they can stress easily, that depends on genetics, training, the environment, etc... To be honest it's hard for an Autoflowering to bounce back in flower, I always grow till the end no matter what and that way I can learn from my mistakes. Any questions just @ me or DM. Hope this helped. Good luck and Happy growing.

The flowers are putting out new white pistils so all hope is not lost ;) I think I fried her a little with the foliar spray so have switched to using filtered water and calmag instead of tap, as my water is super hard. Started upping the bloom nutes late this week, she's matured faster than I expected. Don't expect her to go beyond 10 weeks if that. Little nugs are starting to form and starting to get frosty already, including the sugar and fan leaves. Wish she wasn't so stunted as she smells lovely. Am hoping she swells up nicely so I at least get a few good nugs off her.

Absolute disaster this week, but I've finally determined the cause of the pistils turning brown!! After being a useless runty bitch from the start she went and hermied on me. Looks like it was weeks ago as she has totally self-pollinated and is now growing seeds everywhere :( As she hermied so early and my other plant is doing great under the same conditions I'm putting it down to crappy genetics. As soon as I realised I removed the pollen sacs and removed her from the grow tent, she's been evicted to the windowsill till I can get a replacement tent. I also think some residual pollen has also lightly pollinated my other girl who's growing great, only a few brown pistils with mainly still white so I'm hoping not too badly seeded. Have sprayed down the tent and just have to hope for the best. Obviously after being stuck by a window in my crappy climate she hasn't grown much at all. Plan to get another light so we'll see if she perks up. As it's my first grow I'm determined to get something smokeable off her, she does smell lovely.

Hi, can anyone tell me what these orange markings on the leaves are? I thought it was light burn as I recently lowered a new light I'm using. (supposed to be Led, but it is fluorescent) but the marks aren't on the uppermost leaves.

Hello Sorry about your ball sacs, bad luck, it happens. So if you're running that 600 at 12 inches you may still be seeing some negative side effects. I see the leaves cupping and curling up at the edges and maybe it's not the light but possibly heat generated from the light, often the leaf surface temperature is much different than the room temperature. But if you're sure it's not the lighting..... then my next question is how are you checking your ph and if its a pen when's the last time you calibrated it to double check the accuracy? They can sometimes go wrong after a little while. It just seems like a variety of possible problems happening, and ph or root problems can definitely cause a huge variety of problems making it hard to pin down. Good luck with the finish. Happy harvesting. ✌️

I had a similar result when i tried to aggressively add ph adjustments to my undercurrent system. I believe those spots are caused by large ph fluctuations. Hope this helps

Well she spent some of the week under a dodgy cheap light I bought. She seemed to fatten up, but I also may have burned her with the light. Checked trichomes and they are all milky on all the buds. Had enough of checking her for new balls growth, so decided to chop her. At least will get to smoke something after all this time. Currently drying, hoping there's some bud with the seeds lol.

Well this plant taught me a lot, mainly about what can go wrong. But still managed to get something smokeable from my first ever harvest so I'm happy.
