So I was reading about mainlining some and figured hell I'm bored and I have some photo fems I can play with since it is summer. I figure start something inside alongside my Lemon Haze and Caramelicious Autos and take it out to flower when i need the space. Basically my wife hates my obsession with growing but she loves the buds so I'm gonna let her get involved and plant this one. Germed with RO water and into a 3 gallon pot... thinking I may run some freebies too 🤔 maybe Afghani regulars. Coming soon...
So this week I'm just misting it and lightly watering after day 10. Waiting for enough nodes to top for the first time. Germed some Afghani seeds to keep this thing company when it goes outside. For now its hurry up and wait
So I topped her at and stripped her to the third node. Now its a matter of training and another couple of cuts to get a four headed OGK Hydra. Using amended soil so no nute program. Got her in the basic suoersoil recipe.
Well my indoor setup is f***ed. The floor in our house is ruined and molded due to bad plumbing so basically I have to have people in the house to fix it or move. Either way this and the Afghans have been moved to a remote location and are now basically on their own. Rain and supersoil... let the guerrilla grow begin. Really sucks I had to put 4 perfectly healthy autos outside too where the light schedule is backwards for them. Stress is gonna ruin that yield. Bummer.
When I made the move outside I transplanted all my photos to the same soil but in 5 gallon buckets. Hopefully they grow big out here. The pic from last week showed the second topping so we're going to stop at 4 colas rather than continue training outdoors. Anyways they're doing okay just not liking the heat.
Owning an HVAC company in the summer doesn't leave a ton of time for remote plant care so my weeklies suck as far as pics and such. It is super hot and I've lost a bunch of fan leaves. Autos are bloomed out but the photos need those leaves. Damn, can't even tell what the deficiencies are without leaves to check lol. Screw it... Nature you're up. Do what you do
Sorry the pics may have people confused. This diary is basically an abridged version since sometimes I don't get check on this plant every week due to work volume in summer. Ideally I wanted to grow her inside up until now but that didn't work. Also my new house setup is running autos so no 12/12 there. Its all good though. She's forming bud sites. Probably gonna be awhile before they have any size with my lack of leaves and I'm pretty sure lack of nutes in the soil. She ran thru her bucket with roots fast. We shall see....
Bud sites, bud sites... defoliated and lollipopped. Trying to get 4 massive mains but highly doubtful. This grow has been a circus. No idea how I brought my autos to harvest after abandoning them outside. Praying it'll yield more than I expect
Just waiting. Think I was right about yield potential. Still losing leaves like crazy and definitely a lack of calmag and phosphorus but anything from this lady defies the odds.
Buds are forming slowly. They really need to bulk up. Gonna cheat with some Big Bud and Overdrive at the end here. Supersoil isn't gonna be my thing...
Started seeing a little result from the Big Bud. Gonna switch to OD next week then flush. Afghanis get the flush next week and I'm thinking re-veg and monster crop but as always we shall see. I just love experimental diaries...
So I figure I have awhile left to go. She has had to weather many a storm literally and metaphorically and although she isn't gonna yield big I still can't wait to smoke her. Gonna be quality over quantity. Buds looked white when I shine flashlight on it during a night visit. 3 more weeks to chop
Brought my outdoor plants to the new house finally. The opportunity presented itself and I now have them at home. Afghani plants come down later this week. Still deciding on the re-veg or not. Honestly I wanted to do this one but it doesn't have enough fan leaves left 😪
So this is the last week of this run on this manifold experiment. The buds definitely ripened up these last few days and put on a little weight. Flushing good tomorrow then into darkness for a couple of days then the chop. The smell has developed nicely and the nugs are frosty. This is gonna be some gas. Did a little preharvest as bud rot was trying to set in from the weather lately. Then we went from super humid straight to frost. Wtf it hasn't been like this here in years. Brought her in to finish up. Excited to try this one. This outdoor grow is dedicated to my brother who was the first grower I knew. He always would take me back in the woods and show me his plot of bagseed from the previous year. God decided that he needed him more 12 years ago now but I swear I can feel him when I step in my garden. His ashes grew me a bomb rose bush. Too bad I took so long foe me to pick back up on growing or I could've gone How High with him. I probably sound crazy but to be completely honest cannabis is the best thing for my mental health these days. And I mean growing just as much as the meds. Anywho I'll be back with the stats stat...
All I can say is wow... This thing came down a week early due to strong cat piss smell. After 72 hours in the dark following a cold flush the trichs were outrageous. I am now a believer in the dark period before chop. Anywho the yield wasn't monster because if child services knew how I had abandoned this little girl they'd jail me hahaha. No really I threw it outdoors when I had to move and didn't feed or water for 6 weeks in 90°+F summer conditions. Once again a testament to the genetics here. Great bud and smoke. Everyone should grow this once. Got 2 more fem beans for next spring when I can make another run with much more attention paid. Until then check out my indoor off season auto grows and my new Manifold experiment that should last an entire year with an OG#18. Summer is over but the fun is just blossoming...
* Just so people know how abused this plant was and how much quality bud still came off of it. I literally baked this thing all summer and relied solely on rain for water for an entire month while skipping all topdressings that I was supposed to do for months..plural. So extremely underwatered, underfed, and undernourished in general yet was able to produce a bunch of high quality smoke.
