The start of week one!
OK well I have to first and for most need to thank everyone who made this grow possible :
DIABLO NUTRIENTS
This company... what can I say about them ? Their support has made me into the grower I am today . They are giving me an opportunity that is basically unheard of , giving me the ability to do what I want, without having to worry about mistakes. Switching to them was undoubtedly the best move I have EVER made as a grower looking to STICK OUT ( really for any level of grower).
Visit
https://diablonutrients.com/ for more info .
I don't have to talk about their product much after this you will see through this diary what a FIRST TIME INDOOR GROWER with me at quarterback!! So please stay tuned ! But I will say a few things about diablo ;
Since the switch : I rarely if ever get deficiencies.
The product is based on the product not the F*$KIN label .
They are ALWAYS looking to improve so you really know that your on the "cutting edge " of cannabis nutrition.
The quality is a cut above ! And I have used , remo , g h , future harvest , gro tek, green planet , and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting.
@fast_buds providing the cannabis world with some revolutionary auto flower genetics , giving me the chance to do something I love to do and turn some heads along the way ! 😃 THANK YOU! They are a company I definitely will be involved in as long as I can !!!
The initial germination will be done by dropping the seeds into plastic shot cups, leaving them in the dark for between 12 -24 hours . Then we go wrap them gently into a damp paper towel . That goes inside a zip lock bag sealed up with a probe inside . The bag sits on a heating pad controlled by the probe inside my ziploc !
100% GERMINATION!
STEP 2 - Step 2 of the process involves putting our seeds into Jiffy sevens. This went well as was to be expected having them all go into the Jiffy 7 with a hunderd percent rate.
STEP 3 - Now usually you would go from a Jiffy 7 straight into a 5 gallon or larger, But I decided to go from Jiffy into A red solo cup.
A few things on a side note one of the biggest things of this project is it is a team effort. None of this would be possible without the team I have around me , that involves the people I'm lucky to know, the family I'm blessed to have and friends to tolerate me when no one else will !
So we are on STEP 3 - the solo cup 🥤.
This is not a step everyone does because trqnsplanting can hurt your yield , but they needed to be moved to their new home .
STEP 4 - get the solo cups transplanted in 7 Gallon pots . This will the biggest pot we have used for an auto flower, I wouldn't suggest doing this with anyone but fastbuds ! I know I run the risk of the pot being to big , GO BIG OR GO HOME !
STEP 5- THIS IS CURTAIL! Getting these girls to drink takes patience, time, and knowledge. So be patient with your watering . As you can see what we did was create water rings that start about 3 inches away from the stem . The goal is to get the roots water BUT DO NOT FOR ANY REAEON GIVE THEM A FULL WATER RIGHT OFF THE BAT . you will end up with a plant that HATES its life. You want to allow the plant to drink and become into the pot . So every time that ring goes away we gave it more, slowly ! AND THE LOVE IT !
This week went well , we still have GORILLA COOKIES that is not growing well , but thats just one that will be a little challenging, probably won't get much of it but she is one of the girls no the less !!!
This week all the girls are in their final resting spot ! We still are focusing on getting them wet , one drink at a time . The next thing we will be watching for is to top the plants . I have decided not to high stress and to do minimal trying to the plants to see "what anyone could do " with them. At the end of this week it looks as if the plant is rooted and ready to spurt !
Well this week will kick of the flower cycle right at the end of this week they started to really take off !
Gorilla cookies: the difference between the two are , size , aside from that they look identical in genetics . One was a small pop , when we planted it , it was about a cm or 2 high .
Orange sherbert: one of the two has some deficiency due to what I believed to be a problem in the soil. We continued to pluck any leaves with undesirable looks.
Original cheese : these two are the closest in the way they grow . We also predict these will be done first !
Well theyvare just growing like weeds , this is the point in the grow you can literally watch them grow ! I would say each plant is growing at an inch or more per day !!!
Well week 8 !
So the cheese are really showing they will be the first to be cut down . We are checking our tritchome everyday to make sure we don't go over the cut date! This grow has been a BLAST!
Week 9 update
Orange sherbert: grew tall with the plants focus on the tips of the plant . The one in the video we were using the water from our dehumidifier first thing, that gave it a little yellowing . I think it was a soil deficiency, if this was a photosensitivity strain i would have out more time into "fixing" the problem.
Original cheese : this one grew golf balls size nugs from bottom to top. On the next one I will be lollipoping , the top nugs now are about 3-6 inches long , and just "DRIPPIN LIKE A FRESH SET OF PAINT " in the words of snopp dog! These will be the first plants to harvest .
Six shooter - this plant is going to be one of the last ones we harvest. At this point I think the pot we used for this strain was too big . It is a leaf goddess , I'm thinking a good amount of these plants will be made into hash , due to the amount of sugar leaves on the plant. DEFOLIATE NEXT TIME TEAM!
Gorilla Cookies : still in my opinion has about 2 or more weeks to go . She is still finishing its height , mostly done growing taller , and now she is putting the energy into the flower! All in all these are some damn fine plants!!
@TeamQuality420, by looking at other diaries of the same strain I was thinking 12 to 13 weeks. But well see how they finish. Those chopping earlier had much less yield. So I'm thinking 5 to 6 more weeks.
