Wait a second, What’s this? Light green stems shooting off sweet premature buds in my mini garden? It must be Christmas. I was super excited to finally see my flowering plants grow buds. Now I just need to keep them happy. Week 2 of flower here and everything is good. My coco plants are booming, and soil doing okay for circumstance. It’s a good day to be a cannaman.

Hi, this morning I checked out my lemonchello haze growing in coco and noticed it has small white spots on the leaves. My first guess is mold but I have good airflow and the spots don’t look spread out more so just forming in leaf. Need a little help with this one

Doesn't look like mold to me, based on its positioning looks like water drop stayed a bit too long a burned the leaf. Also, generally looks N starved as well.

I’ve got a gsc in soil that has shown me some type of red dots that show on the tips of leaves and on leaf itself. I have stuck to my nutrient line all grow I’m thinking boron deficiency but not sure

Hello cannaman9, that looks like the early stage of a magnesium deficiency. If you fix the root of the problem, further yellowing and discoloration of the leaves should stop almost immediately. Some of the affected leaves may recover somewhat, but what’s most important is to make sure the problem isn’t continuing to spread to other leaves on the plant. Good luck with your project, I wish you all the best! 👽

it's probably Ph related or you've gone too far on the Calcium.. If it's one leaf.. Clip the one leaf problem solved ha haha :). If it's quite a few leaves it's definitely calcium the likelihood of seeing micro deficiencies in modern cannabis nutrients is crazy talk. So many people are using way too much. In my opinion it's got more to do with a Lack of balance then it does a lack of Boron. But good on you for trying to diagnose your cannabis plant. If you see damage in my diary it's 90% related to ph... And now your know because knowledge is power :).

Ouch, my best plant is sick. I’ve flushed it with ph balanced water but not sure what to do next or what it lacks? Does anyone else know what it could be

I'm looking through your nutrients list, and if its correct, you are basically giving her 2 grow nutes, and 2 flower nutes.............this adds up to a lot of nutrients, I certainly wouldn't be using 2 full strength flower nutes at this stage of growth. I would stick with ONE type of nutrients, such as your canna coco, and follow the directions on the bottle. More nutrients does not equal more growth. Feed one type of nutrients at a normal or slighly reduced strength, and measure runoff ph to make sure your root zone is where it should be. Happy growing.

I would say its a toxicity, see how it recovers after your flush, and then keep watering with ph'ed water. The dark green leaves and curling of the edges makes me come to this conclusion. If possible, check the ph and PPM of your water runoff.

Hello, can someone teach me about runoff EC& PH ? If I put in a correct ph and Ec, would a healthy plant have runoff of same, lower, or higher amount than the feed measurement? What is a healthy ph outflow for soil& coco?

In a perfect world, EC and pH in runoff would be the same as your feed. This means she's taking in equal parts water to nutrients. If your runoff EC is higher, then you're probably overfeeding. Shes taking in more water than nutes. If your runoff EC is lower, then you're probably underfeeding. Shes taking in a higher ratio of nutrients to water. pH determines what nutrients the plant can absorb, so if your pH is off, it will affect your EC. When you get your EC balanced, your pH should remain balanced too. 5.5 pH - 6.2 pH in hydro/coco. Lower end for veg and high end for flower. 5.8-6.5 in soil, I believe.

Not sure what is going on but it’s spreading to most of the top leaves, I know this strain tends to get a purple color in leaves but I definitely wouldn’t think it’s supposed to curl up. Anyone know what’s going on?

You definitely have a phosphorus and copper deficiency both together. Search for yourself on the net or YouTube for cannabis deficiencies and the difference between mobile and in mobile nutrients. Anyway long story short, when you flip to flower before hand typically a grower would use a preflower nutrient. One that has a small amount of nitrogen and higher than normal amounts of phosphorus and potassium. But especially the phosphorus before flowering in combination with copper, which is a micro nutrient and rare to have a problem with copper deficiency. Except in your case, your plant wants more phosphorus to set the bud sights during the stretching phase. It uses higher amounts than normal to do this along with copper, iron and silica. All three of these are mirco nutrients. N-P-K are your macro nutrients or top 3 mobile ones. So you have a phosphorus deficiency as indicated by the premature purpling between the veins of the leaves and filling out towards the edges, this is not to be confused with a magnesium deficiency which is indicated in the same patter except the plant would brown and yellow around the veins themselves which remain green and healthy. A copper deficiency is indicated by the curling of the tips and ends of the leaves. Both of these nutrients work in conjunction to create bud sights during early flower so remember always use more phosphorus before flowering and only before flower during the first and second weeks. Because what happened was, the plant tried to compensate for the lack of phosphorus and keep going with it and used up your copper as well. Again check into mobile and in mobile nutrients. Because the top 4 and only mobile nutrients N-p-k and magnesium are the most used nutrients. They are mobile meaning, they are stored in the lower and oldest leaves on the plant. So knowing the deficiency and toxicity early on will help you keep your plant healthy. Both well feed but always a bit hungry. You want to give your plant just enough N-p-k to keep it hungry but not over feed. Since the mobile nutrients are stored in the lower old leaves. You can tell if they have had to mantle nutes. The leaves around the bottom will be very dark green and curling down with a tiny brown tip on each end. If they have had too little, they will be yellowing and curling upward and not down. Feeding just right and the bottom leaves should be just a shade darker than the rest of the plant. Hope this helps you and happy growing.

Ph is too high, I would drop that down to 5.9-6.0 at this stage. Also I would only use the canna a and b with the 13-14 and maybe 0.5-1ml per litre cal mag. On some of the pics there are burnt tips which tends to be a overdose of nutrients so you might want to back them off a touch. I also agree with the other guy regarding there are some symptoms that look potassium related which could be due to the high ph. I would flush the medium with a low strength feed and measure the EC and PH of the run off, this will tell you where everything is at. Cover all bases, measure your run off and ph, drop the ph level to the amount mentioned above and go from there. In a perfect world I would probably try and drop the night temp a couple of degrees.

So I’ve never done this before, I know there are signs to look for especially trichomes but I gotta say it’s hard to see even if I have that jewelers loop. I’d like to harvest all at the same time so I have give the 24hr darkness before the cut but we’ll see. Any tips? Thank u!!!

IMO the FF ocean forest is a bit "hot" for seedlings and is probably the main issue. There's no way you're having deficiencies this early if you're using the correct PH. It also appears you're using Coco nutes for soil if I'm not mistaken? Or do you have some plants in soil and some in coco? Either way I hope you resolve your issues quickly. Good luck.

@Nugget_head88, thanks for the input, I have 2 plants in coco and 2 in soil as I’m trying to figure out which medium is for me, I’m thinking it was an early ph problem but glad I could move past it.

white spots is not a problem, problem is roots getting too less oxygen that's why that plant looks very pale. overwatering is a very hard thing to achieve in coco but since it is in a solid pot,you can give some break between waterings.fabric pots will do trick if you can get your hands on some for next round.plant is small, roots are small too, overwatering can happen in this phase even though you are using coco.
