Slow and steady. After soaking in a shot glass for 2 days, these seed was planted directly into a 3 gallon pot with about a 2mm taproot. I can already see some colour popping out, so definitely a good sign for those red genetics!

She's bloody coming alive! Having some issues dialing in my temp and humidity into my tent due to the weather change here in Canada, and my apartment shutting off my central AC. My apartment has been sitting at 26 C so things are a bit toasty at the moment!

She is still sitting pretty short, but I have a feeling she's about to take off and stretch for the sky. Environment is getting a bit better as I've added some additional humidifiers to the room, so here's to hoping for the best!

We have lift off!! The stretch is commencing, and the girl is starting to flower! Still think she's going to explode, but with how bushy she is now it's hard to really tell. Time will tell!

I was still on the fence of whether or not this plant would stretch more, but after the end of this week it's safe to say she's one tall plant! Thankfully I was able to raise my light, but she got within 6 inches before I did so. Hopefully the stretch will slow down cause I'm running out of vertical space :D In terms of the floor space in my tent, it's fun to see how my two Sweet Seed autos have grown perfectly around my Auto PK, without any sort of training. Plants are pretty neat, eh!

Started off the week with early signs of a magnesium deficiency and it only got worse as the week went on. Decided to flush her out on day 20 to see what's going on with the soil pH and PPM. The pH ended up being 5.3 on the first reading, and got it up to 5.5 after the rest of the flush. The PPM first read 1332, and got it down to 1113 by the end. Still a ways to go with the pH, but I know what I've been doing differently, and what I need to change, and that is MORE RUNOFF! I've been watering with practically no runoff throughout, so I definitely have a buildup of either my nutrients, or my pH down solution, or a mix of both. Will definitely be watering with more runoff going forward. I'm still growing with the mindset that I'm using a scrog net, like I did on my first grow, so I couldn't really take them out of the tent to flush, or give more runoff. Time to smarten up :D

After flushing the pot out the previous week, and figuring out my soil pH was SUPER low, this girl is starting to come back to life. No new leaf discolouration thankfully since then, but the old leaves that were already damaged are just getting worse. I cut a lot of these off in my first grow that I had this issue, but it seems like you end up doing more damage that way, as there are still some remaining nutrients left in those leaves to be consumed. Anyway, she's fattening up every day now, so I can't wait to see what kind of growth I'll see in week 5! Happy growing 💪

If you run into issues into flowering that cause your sugar leaves to get crispy and discoloured, do you remove them? Or let them run their course and wait till harvest to trim them away?

Hi, I would leave them on, personally. As for what it may be, I believe you're dealing with a significant calcium lockout caused by low ph. This will also lockout phosphorus, iron and zinc. Calcium can only be absorbed as Ca++ ions above a ph of 6.2, in soil. Maybe aim for a ph of 6.5-6.8. Cheers,

Well, definitely not how I wanted this plant to look at the end of week 5 of flowering! I've continued to have soil pH issues, even after giving this pot a moderate flush the other week. Not watering with enough runoff has been the culprit for sure. Despite these issues and my horrid looking leaves, the buds are still continuing to develop nicely and the plant smells fantastic! I can definitely smell some sweet tarts in there :) ... I'll continue feeding with nutes for an additional week, but then I'll be flushing this girl for two weeks as her trichomes are already looking nice and milky at the moment. Definitely learned my lesson with NOT training this plant - she's way too close to my light. Here's to hoping for the best over the next few weeks!

Another crispy week in the books. This girl is looking extra rough as she starts to fade ON TOP of the nutrient lockout issues that wrecked havoc on her earlier. Considering the trichomes are getting there, I'll probably start the two week flush in the following week. Really unhappy that these buds have stopped fattening up, but I suspect that was caused from my lockout. Just another reason why I'll be switching to organic dry amendment nutrients on the next round :)

Not much really going on with these girls anymore. I know a lot of people chop Sweet Seed autos by now, but my trichomes still are not' where I want them to be, so more time it is! But I've definitely seen a halt in any new bud growth, aside from some new foxtails thanks to the high heat and light intensity in my tent. Going to keep her going for another few days and then flip the lights off for a few days before harvest. Till then :)

Another one in the books! This girl has now been chopped and it hanging whole in the tent. Definitely had enough issues along the way, but I think we finished strong. I know a lot of people on here have reported harvesting earlier, and Sweet Seeds themselves claims 8 weeks from germination, but It really took a while for these trichomes to mature. Not sure if this is prevalent in this strain, or possibly the side effects of high heat/high light intensity, but I'm just happy that they finally changed, because the buds did not have any growth in the last week and a half of life. Anyway, stay tuned for next week's harvest post!

WOW, what can I say... all I can smell is sweet tarts :D .. what a delicious and potent strain to grow. I had some issues along the way with this girl, but that was my own wrongdoing (had a major lockout in my soil mid flowering which I'm sure took a hit on my final yield). Overall, I was really happy with this strain. Can't wait to grow her again! 🙌

Overall I really enjoyed growing this strain. I got 2.75 (77 g) ounces of bud, but I also go the same amount of trim and larf (154 grams total for this plant), so it will be fun to make some bubble hash with this sweet, SWEET smelling plant :) .. will be interesting to grow her again with a different light and organic dry amendment nutrients vs the bottled nutes I used.
