This Papa Smurph will be the first full grow from seed under the new Bestva dc series led 2000/390 actual watts light that I bought a week ago. This will be a Mother Earth Coco / Perlite w/nutrients in every watering everyday until the day it's time to start the flush. I used Jiffy peat pellets with tray and dome to germinate the seed on 9/22 and the seed has already sprouted cotyledons so I'm officially announcing this day 1 so welcome to the Papa Smurph grow; thanx for havin a look and as always:

Day 8 10/1 This week I will increase the dose of big bloom and grow big nutrients but Tiger Bloom and Cal mag will stay the same. Leaves are coming out with 3 fingers now so yes baby is growing at a better rate. Putting heater in the bedroom where tent is made a world of difference so I run it throughout the evening.

Day 15) 10/8 This week will be both challenging and rewarding. This will be my first ever mainline and with this still new Bestva dc series 390W led it should help to get the job done. I will try for 8 main colas (Nebula Haze style) / (Nugbuckets)
This week 3 day 15) I topped down to 3rd node and stripped everything below with nice growth tips to get started and then I watered with nutrients and threw in some Great White for good measure. I will also change the nutrient regime to increase dose of tiger bloom by 1/8 of tsp for a total of 1/4 tsp and decrease the Calimagic from 1tsp to 1/2 tsp and regime will stay this way till pre flower then will change again. Lets see how well this baby makes it to the next topping shall we?!

Day 28) End of week 4 and wow! It's been a long week! On the 23rd day I topped each end and after I did I just couldn't stop wondering if I had started the first topping too soon? And if that wasn't enough to hurt her I kept stripping all the foliage off her day after day until I was satisfied with the look; kinda like a fashion statement! If you look at day 28 pics you can see the bruises I gave her there still black, I cracked one of the stems and rigged that to heal and finally I just couldn't help snapping off 2 (yes two) healthy growth tips for 6 colas now instead of 8.
***BUT*** She took it like a champ I tell you; came back strong and flourishing in her 1 gal pot. I trimmed her up a bit and gave her a bath mixed with her favorite nutes and Caressed her leaves to feel how soft they'd become. Still watering with nutes everyday. Pot gets a little dry about half of finger down by the time i get home from work so plant is drinking more good sign shes healthy. Now it's time to just let her grow for a couple to a few more weeks before flipping the switch to 12 hrs. Thanks for looking and stopping by.

Will it hurt to run this giixer 110w led in a 32x32x63 tent with this Bestva 390w led? 2 plants one mainlined and one just lst in 1gal pots. What about the way its set up? Was only way it would go in! Height suggestions?? Thanks and Happy Growing
I would think the 390w bestva light would be more then enough for a tent that size. How are you managing the heat? The only way to tell for sure is to buy a par meter or download one on your phone for a few bucks. But I would say the Bestva is all you need in there. I have a 36x48x70 I use 2x 1000w(180w true power) Morsen LED’s and it’s perfect in my opinion.
Day 35) End of week 5 and all is good but I did notice a couple leaves that looked like either light burn or phosphorus deficiency; just a couple though so I thinned some leaves like a light defoliation for the last time during veg. I will not defoliate again until 3 weeks into flower. I plan to run her in veg one more week for a total of 6 weeks veg. I'm so looking forward to seeing what this Bestva dc series led 2000/390w can do for flower. Anyway if I wake in the morning (it's 6:22pm right now) and my pots are dry I will start watering with nutes 2 times a day from now till harvest as using the light full spectrum has added some heat to the mix so I will be watching that real close. I will flip her to flower first day of 7th week so should be awsome!

Day 42) 11/4 8 inches tall and the end of another week and girl is looking fine as hell and smell getting stronger. When I rub her leaves and give her the watering she craves her hormones go into a rage and I'm sure she's screaming let me flower damn you! But next Wednesday I get a quarterly apt. Inspection and I can't have her smell like she's looking for man haha! So she gets one more week veg. But im very happy and very proud of her shes come a long way and shes mature and ready to move on.

Day 49) 11/11 first week of flower has gone and still no pistils but I have no reason to think there won't; in due time. All waterings this week were 1/2 tsp of each nutrient per gallon of dechlorinated tap water ph’d between 5.5 - 6.5 and watered once a day and she just thrived on everything I gave her. OH! I almost for forgot my local hydroponic store gave me a sample of a beneficial bacteria conditioner called FishSh!t There are lots of diaries using this Sh!t and you can find them under the nutrient tab and search Fish Head Farms. They have a website with info and dosing and today was first day using so will update if I notice a substantial change. Dosing called for 1 ml per gallon of water mixed in with all other nutrients during bloom phase. I'm not really in bloom phase just yet but going light on the Sh!t till I test the effects.

Day 56) 11/18 is the end of another week. I measured her today and she's 15” but not done stretching yet. Week 8 day 56 pic 2 btw is a pretty good indication she's a she. I had some bumps along the way this week. My work schedule changed a bit all of a sudden and I lost touch with this girl and she suffered some drought time. Then if that wasn't enough I was shooting video of her and turned the fan system off so it wouldn't record the noise and accidentally left it off (just took a hit of gelato #33) for around 30+- hrs and wife told me the ceiling of the tent was sweating big droplets when I called her from work. Came home/ next day off / cleaned it all up/ wiped it with a light bleach water/ aired it all out and now she is very happy and my schedule is back on track 😅👍

Day 63) 11/25 is the end of another week. Pistils are all over the bud sites and trichomes are starting to sparkle like sugar. She's growing an inch a day and hasn't stopped yet! She is now 23” but branches are very strong and supported by a tomato cage. I am seriously happy with the results of this grow so far and I hope I can harvest and cure this bud to resemble the top shelf weed this strain won awards for right here in my home state ☺️

Day 70) 12/2 end of another week and all was well except for some serious fluctuations in temps and humidity so I did the best I could to stabilize the room environment with a heater and humidifier and seemed to work out for the better but I will be fighting this all winter ❄️ I think. Let's move on to another week shall we?

Day 77) 12/9 End of another week. Phone is fixed and pics are back. Day 74,75,76 there were no pics due to f'ked up phone but day 77 now has pics. This girl is doing well and still growing taller but I can tell she's at the end of her stretch. Flowers are smelling very sweet like berry and a hint of pine and candy and just sticky as hell. Buds are elongating up and down the stem with a nice 12-15 inch length but buds are forming and fattening slowly, could be the sativa side of her. Still drinking a gallon a water 💦 a day with nutes. Daily temps and humidity fluctuations may be a cause of slow bud growth and it may be my fault for trying too hard to keep environment inside tent and outside tent to the exact same but in reality according to natural science and popular findings it's evident that a swing in these conditions of not much more than 10 degrees/percent is expected between light and dark (silly me!) So I will let nature take its course but will be very watchful. Hope u all are still watching and taking a peek now and again.

Day 84) 12/16 The end of another week and shes been moving along kind of slow. The buds on the tops are getting fatter but the buds along the stem are slow to fill in. In reality this is only 4th week of flower because it took 2 weeks to see pistils from the first day of 12/12 so I still have time and pistils are turning color but not all of them so maybe 3 or 4 more weeks +? Still smells delicious and sweet! Makes my mouth water when I open the tent. My cat meets me at the tent every day when I get home from work because she likes the leaves. After a few nibbles on a leaf with a few tricomes on it she goes and takes a nap lol!

Why are buds not filling in stems?
Week 12
6 wks veg 6 wks flower but pistils didn't show till week 8. watering 1 gal a day w/FF nutes in coco. ph between 5.8 to 6.3 and temps are no more than 10 degrees difference lights on lights off- 76F days 66F nights and humidity consistent
Sugar leaves are not meant to support the whole plant during flowering, it seems to me as you got rid of 95% of fan leaves wich are in charge of getting most of the power to your bud's growth, now... i'm not judging, anything can happen, the leaves might have fallen on their own due to some sort of issues the plant had been thru. But if you get rid of fan leaves she can still hold it at first, but when the sugar leaves start to get covered in cristal, the deeper the layer of cristal the less light they are getting directly at them, like some top quality thc sun screen, and it covers up most of the plant besides of fan leaves, that's why you need those so much.
Now... i don't grow in coco but Plant seems healty overall just developing slow, there could be some possibility for overwatering considering the shape of the leave, but i don't grow in coco, but it sure as hell could be that too, if you are watering too often and the coco doesn't get a chance to dry out then its possible, weeds need their wet dry cycles (but then again i don't grow in coco, my dry cycle sometimes goes up to 6 days without watering in 50% soil. )

Day 91) 12/24 Merry Christmas 🎄 Eve growers. Another week gone by and I made satisfactory changes to nutrients this past week. I am just a tad bit worried 😬 about nute lockout cause it seems like slow bud growth is my only issue. Buds are getting fat but I don't like seeing the empty spots on the stalk. Could be environmental issues as well, temps been weird here at home. Other than that trichomes are shiny but I don't see any cloudy ones yet and pistils are still mostly white so come along on another week and see if she comes ready for starting the flush.

Is she ready to be flushed? It's day 105 and week 15 and I'm thinking she's done. Lord knows how hard I tried to hold the camera 📸 still 🤣 but it's pretty tough to do. She is a sativa dominant so I don't want to take her too far into amber trichomes. Tell me what you think 🤔
157 g dry weight=5.5 oz not a bad harvest for personal stash off one plant. Next grow will be seeds I bought from PEV in Spain.
Overall this strain was medium to grow sometimes difficult sometimes not. Part of the veg stage was with a 110w led then I bought a Bestva dc series 1000/390w watched her respond well to the light but I think I may have started to see some foxtailing at the end from the light. My future grows will need to be shorter plants like indicas. This girl is sativa dominant so she got taller than I wanted. Stalks were tall and thick and buds were extremely dense and filled with a Candy like and berry smell with a hint of pine. I will cure these buds before lighting them up. I want to get the full 🌝 taste and smell so I can report back accurately. I will record dry weight in few days. See you then 🤗
