Seeds arrived 9/23 around noon, started germination immediately in wet paper towels then placed in plastic bag left open in the sun. Seeds popped the morning of 9/25, planted right into its final grow place. Used Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and a spray bottle full of distilled water until gone then switched to tap.
The plants look a little “stemmy” because i had some trouble with the light timer (Titan Controls Apollo 9) It kept wanting to jump to the time programmed time for flowering, did this twice before i deleted that schedule so problem solved.
Trellis is up high so i can water, inspect, etc.
Some leaves starting to contort, dark green leaves mainly on BD. Tried adj ph, light distance, watering more/less, nutrients. These leafs just dont want to get better. Gonna try and leave it be for a bit and see what happens.
Folded down the sides of fabric pots to allow for more air flow under the canopy. Results were positive, causing the plant to spread out to become more bushy and leafs to absorb more light. Did some trimming on some poor looking lower leafs that weren't getting any light. Also started to water until run off was visible now that the plant looks healthy enough (nutrients added every other watering). Raising light every so often to maintain 24” distance. Pictures taken right after watering.
Things are going pretty smoothly. Blue dream is finally starting to catch up (Think i topped her too early). Give the girls a trim before every watering and weaving daily if need be. Decided to slowly defoliate the plants into the lollipop technique until flower
Substantial lateral growth. Watering every 4 days with a gallon per plant. Giving nutrients every other watering. Weaving and tucking. Everything going how it should be.
Humidity started to be a little bit too high for my liking. Went out and got an “eva-dry” mini dehumidifier for 20 bucks at home depot, works as advertised, dropped humidity down 15%. I was trying to figure out the best location for the device in the tent and thought the trellis netting would be able to support it but it put too much weight on a branch and partially snapped it. Not all the way as you can see in pictures I was able to support it and tape it up to avoid contamination just fine. That was at the beginning of the week, leaves and bud site look great. Will keep an eye on it but i have good confidence it should be OK. For those who were curious I ended up hanging the mini dehumidifier at the very top of the tent, works just fine.
Plants showing signs of being too close to the light. Moved light as high as can go. Been PH-ing the watering down lately, plants are telling me i should back off of doing that as seen in pics. Plants are also absorbing more water, going to start moving watering days closer together.
Leaves not looking good on GSC but buds continue to grow and are starting to look frosty. Ordered a jewelers loupe on amazon, should be arriving later today. Will have good trichome pics for next week.
Started the flush this week. Really just waiting for the trichomes to get milky white and the hairs to turn brown and curl up. By rights, harvest day should be right on xmas day. How fitting!
